Efeito das dimensões dos corpos de prova na resistência à flexão de compósitos restauradores

The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of specimen size, in comparison with the ISO Standard, on the three point flexural strength of resin composite restorative materials Filtek Supreme and Filtek Z-250. Forty specimens were fabricated for each material with the following length, width and thickness measurements (n = 10): 1) 20 × 2 × 2 mm (ISO 4049); 2) 10 × 2 × 1 mm; 3) 10 × 1 × 1 mm; 4) 8 × 0.8 × 0.8 mm. The composites were inserted in a single increment into two-piece metal device and light-polymerized. The specimens were dry stored at 37 ± 1 °C and protected from light for 7 days. After this period, flexural strength was measured by three-point flexure test using MTS 810 equipment, with a load cell of 10 kN at a speed of 0.5 mm/min. For the evaluated sizes, the results showed significant variability (p = 0.00) with values when compared with the ISO Standard (116.700 MPa), being statistically higher for the test specimens measuring 10 × 1 × 1 mm (142.530 MPa), similar for those of 10  ×  2  ×  1  mm (115.815 MPa) and lower for those of 8 × 0.8 × 0.8 mm (86.650 MPa). There was statistical equality (p = 0.08) for the studied composites (Filtek Supreme, 125.270 MPa; Filtek Z-250, 108.130 MPa). Specimens measuring 10 × 2 × 1 mm provided flexural strength values equivalent to those obtained in the sizes recommended by the ISO 4049 standard, with lower consumption of material, energy and time.

The objective was evaluate the phenotypic correlations among visual scores, performance traits and scrotal circumference of the polled Nelore cattle performance tests. Animals of the fifth, sixth, seventh official performance test in pasture were analysed. At the end of each test period the following measures were taken: adjusted weight to 550 days, gain weight, visual score (body structure; precocity and muscle) and scrotal circumference. The musculature, precocity and body structure showed significant positive correlations (P <0.01) with gain weight, adjusted average daily weight to 550 days, scrotal circumference and chest circumference. However, only hip height showed a significant positive correlation with muscularity. Therefore, in polled Nelore cattle, regards to performance test in pasture, the visual scores show positive correlation with the performance traits and scrotal circumference, showing that visual scores is important tool in the polled Nelore Cattle performance test.

Prova estética e funcional: uma decisão em conjunto

An important phase of rehabilitation treatment, is the aesthetic and functional testing, performed with the patient. Its relevance is because at this time it’s possible to have a very faithful preview of the final result of the prosthesis, but, if necessary, still allow changes. Therefore, the objective of this review is to describe didactically the clinical steps and factors that should be examined by the dentist at the moment of aesthetic and functional testing of a complete denture. This clinical stage basically involves four requirements to be analyzed: mechanical, functional, aesthetic and phonetic. After the jointly analysis with all the requirements, the patient must approve, preferably in writing, the completion of the prosthesis. In case of need for any changes, this is when it should be performed, followed by new aesthetic and functional testing. It should be noted that the patient’s opinion is always sovereign in deciding to end the denture.

This thesis work aims to bring a better viewing on an atypical case of financial analysis. The lstituto per le Opere di Religione (IOR), commonly known as the Vatican Bank, has peculiarities according to its goals as a bank. Belonging to a Catholic religious congregation, IOR has been used to manage the resources of the church, and ensure that these resources are used for the operation of it and, also for religious works. However the financial transactions made by the bank remained secret throughout its existence until mid 2012. This feature of not providing relevant information at the local and international community brought harm. Several cases of corruption and money laundering came up, bringing scandals that cause bad looks for the religious entity. In order to interact with the international community and understanding the importance of it, the Roman Apostolic Catholic Church decides to joing the international accounting procedures (IFRS) and went on to provide yearly financial statement reports and other information from its bank from 2012 . Thus, this thesis work takes on the role of analyzing the financial statements of the IOR and present its economic and financial health from the Capital Structure ratios, liquidity and profitability in the period 2012-2014. Overall, there has been a significant reduction in indebtedness 548% in 2012 to 362% in 2014. However, such an index showing is still high. In addition, the debt profile remained bad (87.47% short-term in 2014). The Liquidity ratios, both indices fell during the analysed period. Noteworthy is that even with retractions, the indices are equal or greater than 1, which indicates financial footing able to pay off debts. Regarding profitability, in 2013 it represented atypical moment, considering the economic performance of the IOR in the investigated period. The housing issue in Brazil is'nt a recent problem and has been discussed, worked and questioned in the institutional framework, especially with regard to the critical considerations on the topic and urban problems involved. We as milestones in the Brazilian housing policy the National Housing Bank - BNH, 1964, the height of the military regime in Brazil, and the Minha Casa, Minha Vida, in 2009. Both have questions that approach and distance themselves regarding changes in the Brazilian housing policy, where we have the emergence of new forms of knowledge production and housing consumption. Thus we have a number of advances in ways of acquiring social housing, even at different times, it is characterized as capitalist forms of this issue. Thus the spatial process of housing developments arising from these programs reflect the change in space - time that they lay down, turning the urban space of the cities in this case the city of Presidente Prudente / SP
