A contratualização em cuidados de saúde primários : o contexto internaci

RESUMO - A temática da contratualização no contexto da reforma dos cuidados de saúde primários tem suscitado grande controvérsia, sendo certo, porém, que se tornou também uma questão incontornável na organização dos serviços de saúde. Por outro lado, o aperfeiçoamento dos processos de contratualização e o desenvolvimento de ferramentas adequadas ao bom desempenho das unidades prestadoras constituem, nos dias de hoje, um assunto prioritário nas organizações de saúde de todo o mundo. Através de uma revisão bibliográfica extensiva, pretendeu-se conhecer as experiências de contratualização, em contexto de cuidados de saúde primários, desenvolvidas e/ou em curso em alguns países, tendo em vista, em última análise, contribuir para uma reflexão sobre os modelos implementados ou sustentar a adopção de novas abordagens para este nível de cuidados em Portugal, tendo por base a evidência internacional. ------------- -------------ABSTRACT – The contracting of health services in the context of primary health care reform has aroused heated debate, however, it became definitively a key element in the organization of health services. RESUMO - Através da investigação teórica analisa-se o processo de implementação da contratualização em Portugal e procura- -se perspectivar o seu desenvolvimento. Lutar por uma vida melhor

O presente trabalho pretende dar conta do projecto de investigação e intervenção social desenvolvido com uma família acompanhada no âmbito do Rendimento Social de Inserção (RSI). Parte, em termos teóricos, da complexidade e variabilidade do trabalho social, considerando as suas diferentes visões e a sua construção social, destacando a existência de diferentes forças que constroem e influenciam a acção psicossocial. Enfatiza, em função das fragilidades do modelo tradicional de intervenção, a necessidade dos profissionais repensarem e qualificarem as suas intervenções e, ainda, a importância do modelo de relação de ajuda e da abordagem sistémica no desenvolvimento do trabalho psicossocial e educativo desenvolvido pelos educadores sociais. O projecto desenvolvido assenta no paradigma emergente, constituindo uma investigação qualitativa, orientada por uma metodologia de investigação-acção participativa. Estas opções metodológicas permitiram o desenvolvimento de um trabalho plenamente cooperativo, que partiu dos seus participantes, das suas circunstâncias reais, ou seja, dos problemas concretos da família, numa lógica de aproximação entre saberes. Foi desenvolvido com a finalidade de promover a melhoria da qualidade de vida da família, nomeadamente ao nível da habitação, educação e relações familiares e permitiu, em linhas gerais, que a família adquirisse maior poder de decisão sobre a sua vida, expectativas mais positivas relativamente ao futuro, interacções familiares mais positivas e uma crescente consciência da importância de um maior envolvimento e empenho nas questões relacionadas com a escola e com as aprendizagens escolares.

Anti-hepatitis A virus frequency in adolescents at an outpatient clinic in São Paulo, Brazil

The prevalence of hepatitis A virus (HAV) antibodies was assessed in adolescents (age ranging from 10.4 to 19.9 years) at an Adolescent Outpatient Clinic in São Paulo, Brazil. Anti-HAV was detected in 137 (54.2%) out of 253 individuals. When separated into two age groups, anti-HAV frequency was higher in the 15 to 19 year-old group (64%) in comparison to the 10 to 14 year-old group (46%) (Chi-square test: p = 0.004). These results suggest that adolescents in São Paulo are at risk of hepatitis A infection and are probably contracting HAV infection during this age period.

BIWiki - Using a Business Intelligence Wiki to Form a Virtual Community of Practice for Portuguese Master's Students

Web 2.0 software in general and wikis in particular have been receiving growing attention as they constitute new and powerful tools, capable of supporting information sharing, creation of knowledge and a wide range of collaborative processes and learning activities. This paper introduces briefly some of the new opportunities made possible by Web 2.0 or the social Internet, focusing on those offered by the use of wikis as learning spaces. A wiki allows documents to be created, edited and shared on a group basis; it has a very easy and efficient markup language, using a simple Web browser. One of the most important characteristics of wiki technology is the ease with which pages are created and edited. The facility for wiki content to be edited by its users means that its pages and structure form a dynamic entity, in permanent evolution, where users can insert new ideas, supplement previously existing information and correct errors and typos in a document at any time, up to the agreed final version. This paper explores wikis as a collaborative learning and knowledge-building space and its potential for supporting Virtual Communities of Practice (VCoPs). In the academic years (2007/8 and 2008/9), students of the Business Intelligence module at the Master's programme of studies on Knowledge Management and Business Intelligence at Instituto Superior de Estatistica e Gestao de Informacao of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal, have been actively involved in the creation of BIWiki - a wiki for Business Intelligence in the Portuguese language. Based on usage patterns and feedback from students participating in this experience, some conclusions are drawn regarding the potential of this technology to support the emergence of VCoPs; some provisional suggestions will be made regarding the use of wikis to support information sharing, knowledge creation and transfer and collaborative learning in Higher Education.
