Ethics on scientific research is approached and often discussed in several areas of knowledge connected to health. In the Administration area there are very few studies which approach the topic of ethics on research. The present paper tried to fill in this gap in the production of knowledge about the topic, investigating how the ethical principles found in the literature and in the codes of conduct are noticed and taken into account in Administration research activities developed by acting researchers in Administration Post Graduation Programs. Theoretically speaking, the study was based mainly on the approaches by Creswell (2007) and Bell and Bryman (2007), which discuss the research ethical principles. Methodologically speaking it was all about an exploratory kind of study, with qualitative research approach. Upon data collection, personal interviews were made aiming at its depth and focus groups were formed. The first stage had interviews with four experienced researchers who took part on a teaching and researching event and on the second stage we used the focus group technique. The focus groups were done in four college institutions along with the post graduation programs in Administration in the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and Pernambuco, in Brazil. The results suggest the existence of general principles and parameters for the scientific research recommended in the literature and on official resolution. However, in the Administration area, there are only a few recommendations of good practices when it comes to submitting articles for scientific publications but we found no guidance with ethical principles and parameters which cover all the activities in the scientific research and which specifically meet the research particularities in Administration. The main ethical dilemma pointed by the researchers refers to ethical questions which arise at the time of data collection and on disclosing the results. Most researchers do not know the guidelines and the ethical norms on ethics about research that we have in our country neither do they send in their projects to the research ethics committee. When dilemma arises, they decide the ethical question based on their values and common sense. These elements confirm the thesis that the researcher s procedure in the research activities in Administration is predominantly signed by personal values or by common sense and less by ethical principles, whether by not knowing the normative instruments related to ethics or by disagreeing with any disciplining rules on ethical behavior in the research

This study approaches bureaucratic organizational structures with the aim to understand the adherence procedure to virtual technologies in the stricto sensu educational administrative process. Thus, the author navigates through the formation of these organizations in Brazil with the intent to demonstrate the bureaucratic organizational culture and the consequent form of domination of those who detain power. In this epistemological construction, the author explores the culture s bureaucratic environment and the organizational power. In the analyses, it was observed the technological phenomenon in the ODL s administrative environment, which can explain the adherence procedure to structures and technological instruments for stricto sensu courses that, hypothetically, dilutes the traditional inherited organizational axiom. Therefore, it was utilized as object of study the Professional Master s degree in National Scale Public Administration PROFIAP, hence analyzing the documental content and the legislation related to institutionalization as well as the positioning of professors/coordinators and of the director of CAPES/MEC. Considering this axioms, it was concluded that the bureaucratic structures can admit ODL in the stricto sensu s environment. However, this can only be done as long as the adherence does not imply in a dilution of the traditional forms of power and institutional bureaucratic inherited dominance, as well as the alleged hegemony of the governmental structure in the educational administration adopted in person by the stricto sensu courses in Brazil

The current study analyzes the birth and development of two strategic alliances established between shrimp producers in Rio Grande do Norte: the Unipesca and the Coopercam. To achieve this aim, two approaches which, at first sight, could be considered contradictory were used: the Transactional Costs Economy and Embeddedness. The first approach is fundamentally based in the studies of Williamson (1985; 1991; 1996; 1999; 2000; 2002). Embededness, on the other hand, went through the review of a series of authors, such as Burt (1992), Granovetter (1973; 1985), Uzzi (1997), Gulati (1994; 1995; 1997; 1998; 1999; 2000), Nielsen (2005), Ring (2002), Ring and Van de Ven (1994), Zafirovski (2002), among others. To analyze the birth and development of the cooperatives in this study, Gulati s work (1998) was used. This study shows the steps to be studied for a better comprehension of an alliance: the decision of starting an alliance and the choice of the partners, the decision about the governance structure, the evolution of the alliance and the development of the companies which established this partnership. To carry this study out, a study case accordingly to Yin s proposal (2001) was adopted. Semi-structured interviews with pre-defined plots were conducted in two phases: in the beginning of 2006 and in the beginning of 2007. The subjects from the research were, in 2006, representative members of the main associations and corporations, besides the shrimp producers from the state, when the context of the activity was set. In the second phase, in 2007, representative members from the two cooperatives that were listed above were interviewed the president from Coopercam and the marketing manager from Unipesca. Besides these two members, directors from two important organizations in each of these cooperatives were also interviewed, giving out the necessary information for the research. Secondary data was also collected from the Brazilian Association of Crab producers website, as well as from news from important newspapers in RN, such as Tribuna do Norte. The primary data was analyzed in terms of quality, accordingly to the documental analysis technique. Thus, through the data that was collected, it can be concluded that the reasons that motivated the companies to cooperate can be explained in terms of the transactional costs economy. However, the choice of partners is more connected to aspects approached by the social embededness. When aspects related to development and evolution were analyzed, it could be seen that both aspects from TCE and Embededness were vital to explain the development of the cooperatives mentioned

No âmbito da Unidade Curricular (UC) de Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada (PPS), integrada no 2º ciclo de estudos do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, foi elaborado o presente relatório de qualificação profissional, com o principal objetivo de ilustrar todo o processo de desenvolvimento das competências profissionais no decorrer do estágio que, por sua vez, foi realizado na XXXXX. Ao longo do relatório serão abordadas as fundamentações teóricas e legais, sobre as quais assentou a formação e a prática da mestranda. Desta forma, importa referir a metodologia investigação-ação usada pela mestranda durante a sua formação, e que permitiu uma prática reflexiva e investigativa, proporcionando o desenvolvimento de capacidades críticas. Assim, a partir dos processos de observação, planificação, ação, avaliação e reflexão, foi possível a construção e desenvolvimento de um perfil de desempenho profissional. Foi, também, no âmbito da prática em contexto de pré-escolar e creche, que a estagiária desenvolveu competências que possibilitaram a articulação entre os saberes teóricos e a ação educativa. Assim, ao longo do ano, a estagiária consolidou de uma forma reflexiva e sempre sustentada as suas competências, profissionais e pessoais, tendo ainda a consciência que a formação é para o resto da vida, na medida em que é essencial e atualização dos conhecimentos valorizando, assim, a aprendizagem ao longo da vida.

With the need of the companies in becoming more competitive within the market, it arises an incessant search for selective human potential, with a high level of capacity and low rotativity, which motivation results in production raise, quality optimization and waste reduction. This scenario requires a strategy development which advantages the Human Resources Quality Management. This way, the model of the Human System Audit (HSA), developed by the Spanish researchers Ouijano and Navarro, presents itself as an important tool to diagnosis and evaluation, contemplating the environment where the organization is inserted, its strategies, its organizational design, its processes and its organizational effectiveness. In this sense, the present study has identified the existent relation between the professional satisfaction and the Organizational Culture, based in the model HSA. The research has been a quantitative-descriptive one and has had as population the technical-administrative workers from the Federal Center of Technical Education of Rio Grande do Norte (CEFET RN). The data collection has occurred during May, 2008, by means of the application of a questionnaire in the HSA model. The sample was composed by 167 subjects, distributed among the Five units of the institution. It was used the factorial analysis, with the extraction method of main components and orthogonal rotation varimax, in order to extract the dimensions of the satisfaction and of the organizational culture and the calculation of Cronbach s Alpha coefficient, to evaluate the reliability of these dimensions. The factorial analysis of the satisfaction indicators has identified four factors,, all of them showing significance: gratefulness and relationship , self-realization , stability and security and physical conditions and social benefits . The result of the factorial analysis with the indicators of the organizational culture has extracted four factors and among them, three of them have obtained significance: Personal Satisfaction Style , Competitive-Denial-Power Style and the Conventional-Dependent Style . After identifying the dimensions of the satisfaction and culture found at CEFET-RN, it has been notice the existence or not of relation among them, through the application of Pearson s coefficient. It has been verified that all of the dimensions of the Professional satisfaction are correlated with some dimension of the organizational culture, having in outstand position, with higher intensity, the relation between the culture style of Personal Satisfaction and the satisfaction factor referring to the self-realization

The Federal Institution for Education, Science and Technology, in its historical path, has been living different changes. The transformations occurred along the way have been determined by coercive forces from the institutional environment, which has became more and more broad and complex throughout the time, obtaining diverse characteristics and new elements such as non institutional factors1 which started to contribute with the other changes. In this context, this work aims to study the isomorphic practices of the managers in the institutional changes process of the IFRN in 1998 and 2008, as of a theoretical coevolutionary perspective (CHILD; RODRIGUES; LEWIN; CARROL; VOLBERDA, 2003). This theory brings a new point of view for the organization analysis to the organizational studies, since it offers a non deterministic and non linear lection of the evolution process, which means, a coevolution. Thus, the organizations and their institutional and non institutional environment auto evolve, auto organize and auto reproduce. Therefore, the institutional and non institutional factors of the macro environment keep a continuous interdependence relationship with the organizations. For the means of this study, it is important to understand that is impossible to comprehend the object, the isomorphic practices, without considering that the previous institutional changes and its evolutions, its continuations and discontinuations, important in the coevolution process. As such, to call upon the institutional historical track is a fundamental aspect to materialize this study, for the recursive movement is indeed present in the coevolution. Another important point to make this research effective is that it is not possible to abdicate from the hologramatic view2 of this study, which considers the object, the isomorphic practices, part of the whole and this whole is also in the parts, therefore it is impossible to comprehend the object of study outside the context where it belongs. With this, as of the objective previously proposed, it is necessary to describe the characteristics of coevolution of the institutional changes related in 1998 and 2008; analyze the dynamic of the isomorphic mechanisms in its respective institutional change process; and describe the lessons learned which the isomorphic practices left to the IFRN, regarding its benefits and difficulties. All these transformations happened through coercive forces3 of the institutional environment. As of the Nineties, these forces became stronger, the environment became broader and more complex, with the emergency of new environmental factors. This study proposed to study the managing process and its practices, related to the micro environment, although it is required to articulate these actions, the demands and requirements from the macro environment. To make this research effective, semi structured interviews have been conducted with the managers who participated in both institutional change processes. In the results analysis, it has been possible to verify the particularity of each change, the one from 1998 with a strong normative action of the managers against coercive forces from the government for the search of recognition and the institutional legitimation and the one in 2008, which has been characterized by the normative action by managers in agreement with the coercive forces from the government, in favor of the government policy for the technological professional education. However, the results analysis it is possible to notice the evidence of a belonging feeling from the interviewed managers

O presente relatório de estágio de qualificação profissional, na Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico do Porto, permitiu descrever e analisar o trabalho desenvolvido pela formanda durante o ano letivo 2014/2015, no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-escolar, nomeadamente na Unidade Curricular de Prática Pedagógica Supervisionada. O estágio ocorreu em dois contextos educativos, creche (crianças de 1/2 anos de idade) e educação pré-escolar (crianças a perfazer os 3 anos e de 3 anos de idade), o qual possibilitou à mestranda desenvolver linhas de ação a partir da metodologia de investigação-ação em articulação com os referenciais teóricos e legais. O desenvolvimento de todo este percurso formativo teve como suporte a elaboração das narrativas reflexivas individuais, as planificações semanais em equipa educativa e as reuniões de avaliação com o supervisor institucional e as educadoras cooperantes. Foram visíveis as seguintes competências construídas ao longo da ação, nomeadamente a utilização de fundamentos teóricos que sustentaram a prática; a diversidade de estratégias de forma a proporcionar um desenvolvimento do grupo; a reflexão na, sobre e para a ação (Schön, 1998) com a perspetiva de melhorar desempenhos futuros. Desta forma, a prática da formanda assenta numa perspetiva construtivista, no sentido de fomentar o desenvolvimento integral da criança.

Este estudo tem como objetivo traçar um possível perfil profissional do docente de Educação Especial, fazendo uma referência à Educação Inclusiva e Professores Inclusivos, incidindo nas suas motivações, formação (inicial, contínua e especializada), avaliação, supervisão, teoria do peer coaching, funções e competências. Tendo em conta que vivemos na era da Escola Inclusiva, que prima pela diversidade, o estudo visa refletir sobre o papel do Professor Inclusivo e do Docente de Educação Especial em particular, ou seja, sobre as suas motivações, formações e competências, relevantes para um bom desempenho e sucesso educativo. No que concerne as motivações, o presente estudo pretendeu perceber o que leva um docente a optar pela realização de um curso de pós-graduação/Especialização em Educação Especial, podendo essa motivação ser de caráter intrínseco ou extrínseco. Pretendeu, também, perceber como os docentes são preparados, via formação inicial, para lidar com a Inclusão e de que forma a formação contínua e especializada aliada a uma avaliação e supervisão são determinantes para um bom desempenho profissional. Estes fatores permitiram traçar um possível perfil do docente de educação especial, atendendo a determinadas competências pessoais e profissionais. Foi aplicado um inquérito por questionário aos docentes de Educação Especial, sendo a amostra composta por 177 inquiridos. O estudo permitiu concluir que os docentes optam pela realização do curso de especialização em Educação Especial, partindo de uma motivação extrínseca, sendo o principal motivo a “não colocação no grupo de origem”, concluindo que os motivos que levam à realização do referido curso influenciam as boas práticas de lecionação. Concluiu-se, também, que é necessário que o docente invista no seu desenvolvimento profissional e que o perfil profissional deve ter em conta determinadas competências pessoais e profissionais.

The objective is to analyze the relationship between risk and number of stocks of a portfolio for an individual investor when stocks are chosen by "naive strategy". For this, we carried out an experiment in which individuals select actions to reproduce this relationship. 126 participants were informed that the risk of first choice would be an asset average of all standard deviations of the portfolios consist of a single asset, and the same procedure should be used for portfolios composed of two, three and so on, up to 30 actions . They selected the assets they want in their portfolios without the support of a financial analysis. For comparison we also tested a hypothetical simulation of 126 investors who selected shares the same universe, through a random number generator. Thus, each real participant is compensated for random hypothetical investor facing the same opportunity. Patterns were observed in the portfolios of individual participants, characterizing the curves for the components of the samples. Because these groupings are somewhat arbitrary, it was used a more objective measure of behavior: a simple linear regression for each participant, in order to predict the variance of the portfolio depending on the number of assets. In addition, we conducted a pooled regression on all observations by analyzing cross-section. The result of pattern occurs on average but not for most individuals, many of which effectively "de-diversify" when adding seemingly random bonds. Furthermore, the results are slightly worse using a random number generator. This finding challenges the belief that only a small number of titles is necessary for diversification and shows that there is only applicable to a large sample. The implications are important since many individual investors holding few stocks in their portfolios

As micro e pequenas empresas, ao mesmo tempo em que exercem um papel extremamente relevante na estrutura produtiva da economia brasileira pelo grande número de empreendedores existentes e expressivo volume de pessoal ocupado, perdem competitividade ao se deparar com entraves ao seu desenvolvimento, sejam eles em âmbito gerencial, financeiro, burocrático ou estrutural. Com base nesse contexto, o estudo procura identificar em que medida, na percepção das MPEs exportadoras do Rio Grande do Norte, as exigências burocráticas do processo exportador afetam o seu desempenho no comércio exterior. Como exigências burocráticas compreende-se o conjunto de normas, regras e procedimentos e documentos que disciplinam o processo exportador, enquanto desempenho é entendido como os resultados da atividade econômica medido através do crescimento das vendas para o mercado externo; das demandas de produtos exportados não atendidas e da ampliação do mercado internacional. A pesquisa realizada é de caráter censitário, desenvolvida junto a quatorze MPEs do estado, atuantes regularmente no comércio exterior nos últimos três anos (2009-2011), utilizando aplicação de questionário, assim como uma consulta a dados secundários disponíveis. A análise dos dados levantados revelou que, efetivamente, na percepção dos respondentes, fatores externos como o custo do processo de exportação, falta de incentivo do governo, excesso de controle dos órgãos públicos e a infraestrutura logística do estado exercem influência na pequena participação das MPEs nas exportações do Brasil e do Nordeste, enquanto o bom desempenho exportador destas relaciona-se a fatores gerenciais, com destaque para investimentos na estrutura organizacional da empresa, conhecimento do mercado internacional e bom relacionamento com clientes e mercados

Introdução - O papel dos cuidadores informais junto de pessoas idosas tem vindo a ser considerado pertinente na medida em que proporciona estabilidade e melhor qualidade de vida à pessoa idosa. É uma tarefa praticada na grande maioria por mulheres, originando efeitos sociais e familiares que modificam as relações entre familiares e até entre a rede de amigos. Objetivo - Identificar os efeitos sociais e familiares decorrentes do cuidar de idosos. Método – Trata-se de uma revisão da literatura com busca nas bases de dados eletrónicas: Repositório Científico de acesso aberto de Portugal (RCCAP) e Scielo. Foram selecionados artigos publicados entre os anos 2008 e 2015, a partir da questão de investigação: “Quais os efeitos sociais e familiares decorrentes do cuidar de idosos ”. Resultados - Após análise dos estudos selecionados verificou-se que os cuidadores são predominantemente do sexo feminino, nomeadamente esposa, filha ou neta da pessoa idosa. Apurou-se que existem alterações nas relações sociais e familiares devido ao excesso de tarefas que o cuidar exige. Identificaram-se o impacto financeiro, ausência de apoios sociais e familiares, impactos sociais, sobrecarga física e emocional, impactos na saúde, impacto profissional, a falta ou escassa formação/ preparação para exercer a função de cuidador, a falta ou diminuição do tempo para o casamento e para os filhos, a diminuição do tempo de lazer o que origina o isolamento social, o afastamento da rede de amigos e por último as alterações familiares como efeitos decorrentes do cuidar de idosos. Conclusão - conclui-se que apesar das dificuldades da prática de cuidar, os familiares sentem-se realizados por ser possível proporcionar um final de vida digno ao seu familiar, contudo seria pertinente a existência de formações e o desenvolvimento de estratégias que auxiliem o cuidador informal na execução das suas tarefas.
