Modelo de referência para estruturar o Seis Sigma nas organizações

Este artigo apresenta o modelo de referência para estruturar o Seis Sigma, o qual é resultante da incorporação de teorias que contribuem para aumentar o potencial estratégico do Seis Sigma no sentido de incrementar o desempenho organizacional. em sua proposta, o modelo de referência engloba um direcionamento sobre certos requisitos primordiais para o sucesso do programa Seis Sigma. A base teórica de sustentação do modelo de referência foi construída a partir de estudos sobre a influência dos seguintes fatores: orientação estratégica e alinhamento estratégico; medição e gerenciamento do desempenho organizacional; uso de estatística (pensamento estatístico); capacitação/especialização de pessoas; implementação e gerenciamento de projetos; e uso de tecnologia de informação. Complementando a proposição do modelo, o artigo traz evidências empíricas acerca da contribuição dos fatores identificados na formulação do modelo de referência, expondo resultados decorrentes de estudos de caso realizados em quatro subsidiárias brasileiras de multinacionais de grande porte. A análise dos dados forneceu evidências positivas de que os fatores mencionados influenciam de forma efetiva o sucesso e a consolidação do Seis Sigma nas empresas estudadas.

A formação humana na perspectiva histórico-ontológica

O tema da formação humana está no centro da filosofia da educação, cujo objeto é precisamente o processo de promoção humana levado a efeito pela educação. A partir da vigilância crítica, própria da filosofia, o texto esboça uma fenomenologia da época atual, constatando que as ideias atualmente hegemônicas na educação se centram na crítica à razão e às noções de verdade e de objetividade. A esse neopragmatismo que, na tentativa de opor-se à metafísica, acaba por ser profundamente metafísico reduzindo tudo à linguagem, os autores contrapõem o pensamento de Marx como uma filosofia historicizadora em que estão em causa não os sujeitos abstratos, mas os indivíduos reais, sujeitos históricos que se constituem como síntese de relações sociais. Para tanto, recorre-se à reflexão histórico-ontológica sobre a formação humana contida nos Manuscritos econômico-filosóficos de 1844, de Marx. O artigo conclui com a defesa da tese de que o acesso aos clássicos é condição necessária para a formação humana.

O grupo psicoterapêutico e a interpretação na abordagem lacaniana: reflexão e redefinição de possibilidades e modos de atendimento na Saúde Coletiva

Cet article propose, à travers une expérience pratique, présenter et discuter le groupe psychothérapeutique dans le référentiel psychanalytique théorique et éthique de Jacques Lacan en mettant l'accent sur la question de l'interprétation. Nous proposons une réflexion et la redéfinition des possibilités et des modes d'accueil dans le contexte de la Santé Collective. Le groupe psychothérapeutique proposé ici, qui applique la psychanalyse, correspond à une possibilité parmi les dispositifs de production de sens pour les impasses de subjectivation de la clinique contemporaine, surtout dans la Santé Publique. La pratique présentée et analysée dans cet article est une petite contribution à une proposition de psychothérapie de groupe fondée sur la théorie de Jacques Lacan, dont le but est de repenser et redéfinir les formes d'accueil de groupe en Santé Collective.

On a regular convex solver potential for an elastic-damage constitutive model: a theoretical analysis

This work is related with the proposition of a so-called regular or convex solver potential to be used in numerical simulations involving a certain class of constitutive elastic-damage models. All the mathematical aspects involved are based on convex analysis, which is employed aiming a consistent variational formulation of the potential and its conjugate one. It is shown that the constitutive relations for the class of damage models here considered can be derived from the solver potentials by means of sub-differentials sets. The optimality conditions of the resulting minimisation problem represent in particular a linear complementarity problem. Finally, a simple example is present in order to illustrate the possible integration errors that can be generated when finite step analysis is performed. (C) 2003 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Síndrome do climatério

The climateric is characterized by progressive hipoestrogenism and by tissue and functional alterations that leads the women to aging. The diagnosis approach needs to consider the symptoms originated by estrogenic deficiency and by the more prevalent chronic diseases in this lifetime, for instance, among others, the cardiovascular and osteoporosis diseases, witch need a systematic screening. The therapeutic management must consider the proposition of healthy life habits and, when indicated, pharmacological treatment for estrogenic deficiency or for anothers comorbidities existent. The estroprogestative hormonal therapeutic is a valuable tool to provide health and better quality of life, once obeyed the individualized criterion of the cases, doses, hormonal composition and mainly of the opportunity of intervention. There are nonhormonal alternatives to treat the menopausal symptoms, as the antidepressives and phytoestrogens. The history of concepts, albeit still little explored by information science, can provide important contributions for the study of key concepts that constitute the theoretical-conceptual framework in a scientifi c context. Thus, the history of concepts is presented as a tool for the study of diachronic and synchronic features of the scientific concept in Information Science. For such, it was imperative to understand the intersection of the categorical-abstract and analytical-causal dimensions, both relevant for constituting the very proposition of the history of concepts elaborated by Reinhart Koselleck.

Comparative study of algorithms for mining association rules: Traditional approach versus multi-relational approach

The multi-relational Data Mining approach has emerged as alternative to the analysis of structured data, such as relational databases. Unlike traditional algorithms, the multi-relational proposals allow mining directly multiple tables, avoiding the costly join operations. In this paper, is presented a comparative study involving the traditional Patricia Mine algorithm and its corresponding multi-relational proposed, MR-Radix in order to evaluate the performance of two approaches for mining association rules are used for relational databases. This study presents two original contributions: the proposition of an algorithm multi-relational MR-Radix, which is efficient for use in relational databases, both in terms of execution time and in relation to memory usage and the presentation of the empirical approach multirelational advantage in performance over several tables, which avoids the costly join operations from multiple tables. © 2011 IEEE.

Estimulação elétrica neuromuscular na reabilitação da disfagia orofaríngea neurogênica

Objective. To present an overview of the literature about the efficacy of neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) in the rehabilitation of neurogenic oropharyngeal dysphagia and to compare methods of therapy in stroke. Method. An extensive bibliographic survey of several databases (Medline, Scielo Brazil, Chile and Spain and Lilacs) was performed using the following keywords: deglutition disorders, therapy, electrical stimulation, pharynx and stroke between 1990 and 2011. Results. The articles reported the use of NMES in heterogeneous population; there is no consensus thus far about the method used during the NMES and about its rehabilitation efficacy in neurogenic oropharyngeal dysphagia. Conclusions. After this study, we concluded that further investigations are necessary with homogeneous groups of patients with neurogenic dysphagia, discussing the proposition of a specific NMES protocol for the rehabilitation of neurogenic oropharyngeal dysphagia.
