Ruy, Paulo e Fafá: a identidade amazônica na canção paraense (1976-1980)

Nos anos 60/70, do século XX, ocorreu um processo de “Integração político-econômica” da Amazônia ao Brasil, executada pelo Governo Federal. Esse processo gerou consequências profundas ao imaginário dos habitantes da região Amazônica, pois, dentro da estratégia governamental foi incluída a inserção de difusores de comunicação, bem como de rodovias e todo um aparato para interligar e diminuir as disparidades regionais. A “integração” criou uma infraestrutura capaz de atrair indústrias para a região. Porém muitos intelectuais acadêmicos e jornalistas deste período viram esse processo como uma “nova colonização”. Segundo eles, o capital gerado não resultou em melhorias sociais aos habitantes da Amazônia. Além dessa perspectiva, o contato com a cultura brasileira através da Televisão e do Rádio influenciou de forma contundente os rumos da política e da arte paraense. A música popular no Pará foi influenciada pela MPB nos anos 60. Porém, a partir destes debates em torno de uma “nova colonização” podemos perceber que o sentido artístico passou a ser regionalista amazônico, como uma estratégia de apoio político aos intelectuais e jornalistas regionais-progressistas. Neste trabalho, demonstraremos como esse “pano de fundo” se processou na obra do cantor e compositor Paulo André, em parceria com seu pai Ruy Barata (poeta e letrista). Assim como, é elaborada uma análise a respeito da carreira da cantora Fafá de Belém. Será discutido como suas aparições na mídia influenciaram no debate e na (re) construção do imaginário em torno da Amazônia.

Estudo da Localidade e “Cidadania”: uma análise do discurso oficial dos Parâmetros Curriculares de Geografia

O discurso oficial transmitido pelos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN’s), em especial os PCN´s de Geografia, tem incorporado diversos termos e expressões provenientes do discurso acadêmico que tratam do fenômeno educacional. Se, por um lado, tal constatação pode demonstrar atualização e comprometimento com as formulações teóricas atuais, sob outra perspectiva, exige atenção. Os termos “democratização do ensino” ou “educação para a cidadania”, que antes eram mais afeitos ao discurso de oposição às políticas públicas para o setor, na atualidade foram tomados como discurso oficial, como se ambos os discursos tivessem um mesmo significado. Considerando que as prescrições programáticas de conteúdos buscam criar normas relativas a certas diretrizes de políticas educacionais e, também, determinar perspectivas pedagógicas, a forma como estão apresentadas abrem a possibilidade de veicularem conceitos, códigos e expressões que passam a ser elementos centrais do discurso pedagógico de instituições, sem que seus significados práticos ou teóricos recebam uma análise mais profunda entre os agentes envolvidos no trabalho da escola.

O Brasil “civilizado” e o Japão “bizarro” na revista Kosmos: imagens contrastantes

Este artigo discute as relações entre idéias de progresso da capital federal brasileira no começo do século XX e a imagem bizarra do Japão e dos japoneses veiculadas dentro de um dos periódicos brasileiros mais requintados da época: a revista Kosmos. Em contraposição aos artigos de louvor às melhorias urbanas promovidas pelo governo carioca; as crônicas de viagem de países “exóticos” como o Extremo Oriente tiveram um papel fundamental na promoção da auto-estima da elite brasileira que se pretendia civilizada, moderna e branca.

In contemporary times, to which the media is centralized in the hands of a few, it is necessary to understand and discuss its democratization. In this situation it surges a theory that is still maturing, Communication Public, which reflects the communication by the optic of citizen participation. In this sense, the research has as objective the reflection about democracy, the centrality and conglomeration media in society and what is affecting public broadcast organizations. So has too the intention to defend the performance of professional public relations in this context, due to its humanistic and strategic characteristic. Through literature review, observation of programming of Radio FM UNESP Bauru and interviews with employees, it is perceived that the vehicle radio for its intrinsic characteristics has great potential democratization, when this character in public can promote citizenship. Aikido: via para ascese marcial

Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed in the 20th century by Morihei Ueshiba. This self defense art, as it is known, is trained around the world as a noncompetitive practice. This work aimed to investigate and circumscribe the history of this martial art presenting features of its singularity. Akido´s Cultural History was used as a theoretical approach to build the historical background. The work was divided in five chapters as respectively named and described: Japan´s historical contextualization - it seeks to show the changing processes that happened in Japan which were arising from the insertion of other cultures, and how that insertion led the country to modernize itself and turn into a great world power. The ancient art: Aiki Jujutsu Daitoryu - talks about this samurai martial art which ensured the Aikido to obtain as the source technique the aiki, and the Xintoist practice. The history of a master: Morihei Ueshiba - presents some defining facts and moments from the master Ueshiba´s history, which points both to the changes occurred in the country, and to the ones that led the master to justify and broadcast the martial art. Aikido: The Budo art - portraits the Aikido´s meaning and the way that it was built to present the Aikido as a Budo art. Televisão analógica e televisão digital: o futuro do telejornalismo

This study proposes to present the process of implementation of Digital TV, the available resources found in the Japanese standard employed in the country and the form in which news programs will adapt to the new technology. Following the presentation of the technological tools, the current state of Brazilian television is discussed, focusing on two nationally broadcast programs, Jornal da Band on Bandeirantes channel and Jornal da Record on Record channel. As a case study, three editions of each show are evaluated with an individual and comparative analysis. Following the analyses, perspectives on the future of television journalism in the digital TV age are given. Additionally, the possibilities for interaction between the TV viewer and the channel and the forms of interaction that may exist within particular programs are discussed, thus allowing for active participation from the part of the viewer. The newly developed functions of journalists in the digital age are also broken down in the research. In order to gain a full understanding of the phases of this process of technological convergence and how programs will adapt to these tools, interviews with professionals who work in the production of televised news programs are conducted in the study
