Este texto de intervenção resume o diálogo com o trabalho de Yvon Thériault apresentado no Seminário Leituras da Modernidade. Pluralismo, Feminismo e Tolerância Política. Retoma-se a proposição política da democracia como regime social de tolerância generalizada para localizá-la nos parâmetros estruturais da sociabilidade política brasileira que são historicamente fundados numa profunda desigualdade social.

Avaliação sensorial de adolescentes com desenvolvimento normal na faixa etária de 11 a 18 anos

Tactile sensibility allows for adequate neuropsychomotor development. In addition, it enables the understanding of the subject’s own body, actions and explorations of objects, people and the environment. Previous studies have evaluated 3 to 10 year-old children. Herein, we evaluate the tactile sensibility in adolescents. The aim of this study was to verify whether the rapid growth of the body changes the normal pattern of tactile sensibility in adolescents. Furthermore, we provide evaluation material that is easy to use, simple, and secure to handle, designed to attend the specific age range studied. Thirty-two young participants between 11 and 18 years old, sixteen males and sixteen females, were evaluated. The adolescents go to public school and present normal development patterns. Graphesthesia, stereognosia, and Semmes-Weinstein monofilament tests were performed to evaluate the sensibility on the ventral and dorsal sides of the right and left hands. A questionnaire was used to identify the relevant activities performed with the hands during the studied period. The adolescents tested were collaborative during the research and presented curiosity regarding the boxes used in the experiment. Results indicated alterations in the tactile sensibility on the dorsal side of the hands from 13-year- old males. The major activities indicated by the adolescents were writing and sports for males and writing and cleaning for females. First evidences of possible changes in the normal tactile sensibility during adolescence were observed in this study.

Influência de atividades lúdico-desportivas na realização de equoterapia em pacientes neurológicos - ensaio clínico controlado aleatorizado

Introduction: Equine therapy is a therapy that uses horses to provide the practitioner in rehabilitation aspects of motor, sensory, behavioral and social. Objective: To investigate the effect of the combination of playful activities with hippotherapy sessions on the trunk balance and range of motion. Methods: We selected 18 practitioners diagnosed with cerebral palsy were randomly divided into two groups. The group 1 held hippotherapy sessions, and group 2 held equine therapy with recreational activities and sports. Before and after treatment, the trunk control and range of motion of the practitioners were evaluated. The data were analyzed using the Student’s t-test (p <0.05). Results: There was an improvement in range of motion and balance in both groups. Conclusion: Equine therapy is an effective treatment for individuals with cerebral palsy, regardless of accomplishing it with or without recreational activities.

This experimental project consists of a proposal for an editorial product in a magazine format that approaches in its pages the aspects on the use of social media on internet. For the production of the reports the spheres of sociability, leisure and professional development were explored. The editorial product approached the editorials of sociability, leisure, culture, ethics, consumption, politics and sports. The influence of the social media was demonstrated in the scope of each of these editorials. The magazine, named Follow, was elaborated in order to reach readers ranging from 21 to 60 years old, with an accessible language. The first edition of Follow was concluded in November 2010, with the format 17,5 X 25,4 cm. The magazine has 40 pages of editorial content and 4 pages corresponding to the cover and back cover. Follow’s production proposed itself as a contribution to the practices of editorial innovation in the communication market

O número de técnicos e técnicas que comandam equipes masculinas e femininas

It is known that gymnastics and sports, for the most part, were made by men for men, and its practice was almost exclusively for males, especially until the First World War. Vestiges of this strong male influence in sports still remain to this day, especially in leadership positions. It is clear that most sports, both male and female, are mostly coached by men. Thus, this study aimed to examine, through quantiqualitative research, the number of women and men who lead male and female volleyball, basketball and soccer elite teams, participating in the most important national championships, and the number of men and women graduated in physical education courses in Brazil in order to check a possible relationship between the low number of women working as a coach and the percentage of women graduated in physical education. For the acquisition of data, Internet searches were made on the sites of confederations, leagues and sports leagues selected for the study, and on the site of the National Institute of Educational Studies Anísio Teixeira (INEP). It was identified that the total number of graduates from 1995 to 2008 was 192,707, with 99,869 men and 92,838 women, showing a balance between these numbers, which did not happen with the numbers of male and female coaches. The data indicated that no women worked as a coach in male and female volleyball teams in the seasons 2006 to 2010, no woman worked as a coach in the male basketball teams in the seasons from 2000 to 2010, and only an average of 1.67 women led female basketball teams in the seasons 1998 to 2010, and no woman has ever worked as a coach for male soccer teams, while only an average of 2.67 women acted as a coach of female soccer teams. A prática pedagógica das lutas nas academias de ginástica

The fights are one of the most elementary manifestations of body culture, which are also constituted by sports, dances, games, and others. They are present in a lot of different ways, being very diverse among themselves. However, there is no consensus or agreements in the literature about the pedagogical practice of these modalities in fitness centers, sport clubs and sports centers. How do the teachers teach in these environments? What strategies do they use? How do they organize the contents? In what subjects they are based to execute the teaching and learning process? In this way, the objective of this study was to analyze some classes from different styles of fights/ martial arts teachers, trying to find what are their focus, goals, methodologies, classes’ dynamics and didactical and pedagogical procedures, aiming to check what is the focus of fights/ martial arts´ pedagogical practice in non-formal education. For this, it was selected one experienced teacher from the following modalities of fights from oriental origin: karate, judo, jiu jitsu and kung fu. The methodology used in this study consisted first in a literature review about the fights and sports pedagogy. Furthermore, there was one field research of qualitative nature, whose methods of data collection were divided in two: systematic observations of some classes of each teacher and semi-structured interviews with each teacher after the observation process, looking deeper into the pedagogical practice of these modalities. The results were analyzed through a content analyze, crossing the informations acquired with the instruments used. Cultura empresarial e reestruturação produtiva na indústria brasileira: o caso da Lupo S/A

Founded in 1921, the company currently known as Lupo S/A is one of the most ancient textile and clothing industries in Brazil. In this article we aim to describe the general lines of the trajectory of this family company, currently producing socks, nightwear and sports articles. The focus of this paper is on the analysis of some strategies used by the company along its formation and development process, and, particularly, the way these strategies made possible the productive restructuring associated to the overcoming of the strong crisis which began in the end of the 80's and early 90's, contributing to its recent consolidation in the clothing industry. The leading hypothesis of the study is that pioneering connected to a strong organizational culture that has been formed and constructed since its foundation and that was reestablished in a more recent management were the factors which were responsible for the advances able to generate an innovation environment in products as well as in processes and management. The theoretical reflection selected to subsidize the cognitive construction of the study of the company is based on the historical approach of the development of the textile industry in Brazil and in studies about the importance of the action of the entrepreneur, in the role of the organizational culture and of innovation to choose strategies in companies. The research involved the analysis of documents and data of the company, as well as interviews with directors and employees. The results show a traditional company model, but also show the presence of a very advanced entrepreneurial dynamic. Modern world – known as a fordist industrial model – could already be noticed in the company when this production pattern was not clearly defined yet in the Brazilian industry. Nowadays, the company faces the challenge of globalization and the open competition in the international market which brings the rivalry of the greatest and best globalized companies.
