Análise comparativa da mobilidade tóraco-abdominal em relação ao índice de massa corporal em crianças

Introdução: O índice de massa corporal elevado no compartimento toraco-abdominal promove alterações no sistema respiratório interferindo nos volumes e capacidades e consequentemente na troca gasosa. Objetivo: Analisar comparativamente a mobilidade tóraco-abdominal relacionando ao índice de massa corporal em crianças. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo do tipo transversal com abordagem quantitativa e descritiva. A amostra constou de 70 crianças com idade entre 8 e 12 anos de ambos os sexos e com o índice de massa corporal variável. Foi realizada a verificação da altura, peso, expansibilidade destas crianças em seguida classificadas em três grupos em função dos seus índices de massa corporal: eutróficos (57,1%), com sobrepeso (15,7%) e obesos (27,1%). Resultados: Os resultados obtidos apresentaram diferenças entre o grupo dos eutróficos e dos obesos, indicando, nesta perspectiva, que a mobilidade na região axilar e xifoideana são mais elevadas no grupo dos eutróficos, quando comparado ao dos obesos. Conclusão: Portanto conclui-se que o índice de massa corporal está relacionado a alterações na expansibilidade tóraco abdominal de crianças.

The increasing demand for alternative fuels lead to the search for solutions to use these fuels in old equipments and bring for new equipments the necessity of alternative fuels based burners. As a solution for these necessity the Gas Interchangeability`s studies came in evidence, because it studies the possibility of changing one fuel for another without changing the initial condition. In integrated industries, as most of steel industries, there is a link between process, the byproducts of one process are used as fuel for other process. There are new conditions for the equipments, that will be developed for these fuels, but even in these industries there will be situations which the byproduct won`t be available, and the process cannot stop. Using the gas interchangeability`s concepts is possible to work with security in both cases. Using alternative fuels in fossil fuel based burners and having a back-up solution for new technology burner. But using these new solutions were verified that there are some cases which the interchangeability`s methods does not work with satisfactory results, and for this reason, this study came to develop a new concept for the Method of Wobbe Index to evaluate the possibility to increase the range of the satisfactory results

Acurácia da mosaicagem gerada por veículo aéreo não tripulado utilizado na agricultura de precisão

The need for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a Brazilian reality in the worlds agricultural, once they have models penetrating the market with agrictural purpose. After processing, the images collected by a UAV can generate a mosaic of the study area. For making and georeferencing the mosaic, can be deployed or not ground control points. Thus, the study aimed to compare a mosaic with ground control points and without ground control points generated from images collected by a UAV used primarily for agricultural purposes. The results showed that the quality in the determination of areas and perimeters no presented significant difference with or without the use of ground control points. The mosaic generated without ground control points obtained an average error of 23.7% of the pixel size; with ground control points, the average error was 10.6%, providing an improvement of approximately 50%. Planimetric and altimetric errors, with respect to the ground control points, for the controlled mosaic, reached the order of decimeters, with planimetric accuracy of 12.8 cm, a result considered satisfactory taking into account mainly the purpose of assessed UAV

This work refers a comparison between a government’s index budget and another one which take into account the traditional method, in other words, taking real values practice in market as base. For its achievement will be used the design of a low standard single-family residence, quantifying all the materials needed for its construction with Prices Compositions Table for Budget, provided from the PINI publishing. After that, was made two budgets: one based on the SINAPI index costs, provided from Caixa Econômica Federal and calculated for the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Estatistics; and another based on the costs used in the SESC work in Birigui city, as well as values collected from building material stores in the same city. Finally, with both finalized budgets, will be drawn a direct comparison in order to verifying if the index can be use as parameter for budget calculations for low standard residences

TThis work deals with present how to increase the accuracy of productivity indicators, aiming to increase the information accuracy of performance indicators and propose improvements to the process in question, more specifically to improve the visualization of information from these indicators for all hierarchical levels of the company, and then make possible use them to assist in the processes of decision making and planning of the production process. We start with an analysis of the current process to be studied seeking sources of information losses during the production process. Afterwards, a specific analysis of the points considered critical, so alternatives are raised for improvements to these points. This project has some specific tools and methodologies that guide the development of work which are required of any project carried out in the company

Expressão do mRNA do gene Capn 2 e índice de apoptose de ilhotas pancreáticas de rato tratadas com fibrilas de amilina e com oligômeros de amilina de tamanho intermediário

O depósito de amilina é um achado histopatológico freqüente em pacientes portadores de diabetes melito tipo 2 (DM 2) e parece estar relacionado à disfunção da célula beta pancreática característica desta doença. Apenas as moléculas de amilina que sofrem agregação in vivo, tal como a amilina humana, são citotóxicas para as células beta, enquanto as variedades não agregantes, como a amilina de rato, não apresentam efeito deletério. Com o objetivo de compreender melhor os mecanismos de toxicidade associados à forma agregante da amilina, um projeto em andamento em nosso laboratório estudou, por micro-arranjos de cDNA, o perfil de genes modulados pela amilina humana em ilhotas pancreáticas murídeas, comparando duas situações específicas: ilhotas tratadas com fibrilas de amilina (“amilina madura”) e ilhotas tratadas com oligômeros de tamanho intermediário (“amilina fresca”), já que evidências recentes apontam para um efeito deletério apenas de oligômeros de amilina. This work is an action research conducted in an industry of consumer goods, presenting a new model of inventory management in the company's processors. This replacement of the inventory management of the company stemmed from the need to reduce the large number of deviations in the product write off in stock, thereby generating a low accuracy and reliability of data on inventories of processors shown by the company's ERP system. Spending on inventory adjustments could thus be reduced with the implementation of the new model, thus generating a cost savings for the company and thus increasing their competitive potential in the market. In the old system adopted by the company, write off raw material inventory was done automatically by the system for customized transactions by the company. However, since the implementation of ERP in the company, the automatic write off based on historical consumption of each product were made in many cases at random, generating a lot of mistakes. The new management system has replaced the automatic system by manual at the time of the return of the processed product in the company, thus creating a control which lots and quantities were consumed in the processing and making the stock shown by the ERP reliable and accurate
