This study aims to investigate the manifestation of the tellurism in the book Tratado Geral das Grandezas do Ínfimo (2001), written by the contemporary poet Manoel de Barros. Our intention is to examine how the poet works with this aspect in his poetry and how he uses it in his poetic conception. This research was motivated by his earth language which internalizes the man and the earth cultural elements, it´s how if the poet scratches it to find his roots and to create his poetic language, the mato-grossense poet moves the earth in search of the uselessness and he also does it in search of supposed uselessness of expression. His poetic universe, his “swamp”, seems to have no limits, its elements move in complete freedom, things, beings and words that once seemed not to communicate themselves, meet and mix like an alchemical process, this is his poetry origin

No final do arco-íris: leprechauns e potes de ouro. A parada LGBT de São Paulo: a visibilidade e a contrapartida para uma igualdade de gênero

Desde 1997, todos os anos muitas pessoas se reúnem na famosa Avenida Paulista, cartão postal da grande cidade de São Paulo, para uma manifestação contra o preconceito e pelo direito civil dos homossexuais. Em todo o mundo essas manifestações se tornaram figura importante do movimento ativista homossexual na luta pelo respeito à diversidade, para abertura de discussões sobre os direitos políticos dos gays, tendo em vista que elas dão maior visibilidade às suas atuações na sociedade. Com o passar dos anos a Parada do Orgulho dos Gays, Lésbicas, Bissexuais e Transgêneros - GLBT de São Paulo tornou-se um fenômeno de público, que desde 2004 ostenta o título de maior parada gay do mundo. Este estudo se utilizará de levantamento de pesquisas e documentos teóricos que tratam da questão, dentro de uma perspectiva qualitativa a respeito da parada, elencando sua importância, seu objetivo, seu interesse e sua militância, na construção de uma educação voltada ao entendimento da diversidade sexual.

Puberdade em novilhas

The age which heifers reach puberty depend on factors like genetics, environment and nutrition. Puberty in heifers can be defined as the onset of reproductive competence, the ability to ovulate a fertile oocyte with an estrous behavior and development of a corpus luteum with normal lifespan. The metabolic signals that trigger puberty are not yet fully defined. In Brazil, where most beef cattle are zebu, the age at puberty is very advanced, mainly these animals are feed with a poor diet. Many researches are trying to discover the metabolic signals that trigger puberty and anticipate better economic return in breeding farms. It has been demonstrated that the cascade of endocrine events that culminate in puberty can be hastened by an alternative management scheme that involves increased nutrient intake between 3 and 7 months of life. Different diet concentrations, different products and by-products have been used in research to achieve puberty early (less than 300 days of age). The hormonal induction of puberty, especially with the use of progestagens, has been developed in heifers as an alternative tool to improve reproductive efficiency in herds, increasing the amount of pregnant heifers in breeding season

Desenvolvimento e avaliação das atividades antioxidante e despigmentante in vitro de emulsões múltiplas a/o/a contendo dipalmitato kójico

Currently, there has been a growing concern for men and women with the appearance of the face and body, driven primarily by aesthetic standards set by the media. For this, the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries have conducted numerous research projects aiming at the development of formulations that mitigate the aging and some skin disorders such as hipercromies. One of the most frequent pathologies of skin is melasma, a manifestation of hyperpigmentation caused by hipermelanogenesis symmetrical and progressive, caused usually by hormonal irregularities, exposure to sunlight and genetic factors. In addition to sunscreen, the treatment is indicated the use of depigmenting substances, among them the kojic dipalmitate (DK), which is cleaved into kojic acid (5- hydroxy-2-hydroxy-methyl-4H-piran-4-one) by esterase after absorption by the skin cells. The kojic acid inhibits the action of tyrosinase as a chelator of ions and promotes the reduction of eumelanin and its precursor monomer. To promote a controlled release and improve the stability of the system, the DK can be incorporated into multiple emulsions, that is, complex systems composed of two emulsifications, where the two types of emulsions (W/O and O/W or O/W and W/O) exist simultaneously, forming emulsions of type W/O/W or O/W/O. This work aimed to incorporate the DK in emulsion W/O/W, physical-chemical systems obtained and to evaluate the antioxidant and depigmenting action in vitro of the developed formulations. The physico-chemical characterization was performed by microscopic analysis, quantification and size distribution, determination of pH, conductivity, zeta potential and bioadhesive test of the formulations. The droplet size in accordance with the use of light microscopy and dynamic light scattering is approximately 1μm. O lazer e a difusão da moral protestante

This study of qualitative nature, aimed to investigate the relations arising from experiences in the context of leisure in recreational activities offered in religious camps, with the spread of Protestant moral values .. The study was conducted with the union of literature and exploratory research. First, we sought to understand, through the specific literature, the Protestant society manifestation with its ethics and values, showing how leisure has been sought and appropriated by Protestants institutions. Subsequently, we developed an exploratory research, using as instrument for data collection a mixed questionnaire, applied to a purposeful sample comprised of participants of a religious camp of Protestant institution. Data were analyzed descriptively by Technical Analysis of Thematic Content and indicate that the activities offered at religious camp can diffuse Protestant values directly intentioned, in order to carry religious values so intrinsic to the task, and, indirectly meaning as a tool of evangelism, which are supporting the process of transmission of these values

Atualidades sobre a doença de Chagas, com ênfase nas possíveis causas da cardiomiopatia crônica

A Organização Mundial de Saúde estima que existem cerca de 10 milhões de infectados pelo Trypanosoma cruzi, 30% dos infectados cronicamente desenvolvem alterações cardíacas, e 10% digestivas e neurológicas. O T. cruzi é um protozoário cinetoplástida flagelado agente etiológico da tripanossomíase americana, popularmente conhecida como a Doença de Chagas, uma antropozoonose conhecida na América Latina. Pelo menos 40 espécies de triatomíneos – conhecido por barbeiros – carregam o protozoário. O gênero Triatoma representa o principal vetor da Doença de Chagas e são adaptados a climas secos de ambientes rurais da América do Sul e Central. Outras formas de infecção podem ocorrer por transfusão de sangue, transplantes, via oral, e transmissão vertical. Há duas fases que caracterizam a infecção pelo T. cruzi: a fase aguda, apresentando um período de incubação de uma semana a um mês, que geralmente é assintomática. Já a fase crônica é mais polêmica e divide a opinião dos pesquisadores, mas basicamente mostra-se como uma cardiomiopatia chagásica, ou uma dilatação no trato digestivo e ainda pode causar lesões no sistema nervoso parassimpático e simpático. Entre essas duas fases ocorre um período indeterminado em que não há nenhuma manifestação clínica da doença. Existem teorias que explicam a patogenicidade das lesões da doença: uma postula que as lesões características da Chagas são referentes à ruptura das células parasitadas e subsequente inflamação. Outra é a teoria da autoimunidade, em que o próprio sistema imune do indivíduo rejeita as células livres de parasitas causando as lesões características da doença. Há evidências substanciais que comprovem a participação das respostas imunes nas lesões miocárdicas, mas como o parasito consegue desencadear estas respostas imunes, ainda não está esclarecido... Investigação dos genes CNR1 e AKT1 como possíveis fatores de risco/proteção para a esquizofrenia

A fisiopatologia da esquizofrenia parece envolver uma complexa interação entre vulnerabilidades genéticas e fatores de risco ambientais. O uso de Cannabis tem sido apontado como um destes fatores, que contribui para o surgimento de sintomas psicóticos em indivíduos predispostos e piora o curso da doença pré-estabelecida. O sistema endocanabinóide está envolvido neste processo, podendo apresentar possíveis implicações na manifestação de sintomas. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo geral verificar se variantes dos genes CNR1 (codificador do receptor endocanabinóide tipo 1) e AKT1 (codificador de proteína serina-treonina quinase), individualmente ou interativamente, e o uso de Cannabis podem ser fatores de risco para a esquizofrenia e para a refratariedade ao tratamento com antipsicóticos. Foram estudados 202 pacientes portadores de esquizofrenia e 277 indivíduos saudáveis. Os polimorfismos rs1049353 (G/A) e rs806380 (A/G) do gene CNR1 e os rs2494732 (C/T) e rs1130233 (A/G) do gene AKT1 foram genotipados por meio da técnica de PCR (polymerase chain reaction) em tempo real com sistema de detecção Taqman®. Tais polimorfismos foram correlacionados ao diagnóstico de esquizofrenia e a outras variáveis, tal como o uso de Cannabis, resposta ao tratamento e subtipos da doença. Também foi realizada análise de estratificação populacional a partir de marcadores genéticos escolhidos para a população brasileira a fim de correção estatística de fatores confundidores relacionados a diferenças étnicas. Foi visto uma influência positiva da idade de acometimento em pacientes refratários quando comparados com os pacientes respondedores (p = 0,006), confirmando os dados da literatura que sugerem uma idade de acometimento mais precoce da doença em portadores de esquizofrenia refratária. Retroviroses em felinos domésticos

The retrovirus are recognized as pathogenic group of virus for domestic animals. The particularitities of these viruses are the necessity of the enzyme transcriptase reversa, for the conversion of the viral RNA in viral DNA (provirus) and the incorporation in the DNA of the cell, what it confers to the infection the lifetime character, due to all the infected cells present the provirus our DNA. Among the retroviruses in domestic felines, the leukaemia and immunossupressive virus represent the more important diseases. The main form of transmission of the virus of the FeLV is occur by close contact and the saliva presents high viral concentration. For the FIV, the main form of transmission is represented by wounds of bite. The retrovírus, replicate mainly in high metabolization cells. The infection for FeLV cause mieloproliferativas and degenerative illnesses, while the FIV are related imunossupressora illness. The treatment for these retroviroses is symptomatic associated to imunomodulatory drugs, none of these drugs are capable to eliminate the virus. For the prevention of these retrovirus are used vaccines. However only the vaccine against FeLV have showed efficiency. Thus , the more important measures in control of these diseases is prevent the contact between infected and health felines. The ain of present study was reviewed the more important aspects of retroviruses in domestic felines, with emphasis to virulence properties, epidemiology, fisiopathogeny, clinical manifestations, methods of diagnosis, therapy, and control measures

O ensino e a surpresa: experimentos surpreendentes e suas possibilidades no ensino de Física

Some experiments in Physics teaching have an amazing effect among the students, that is, generally be characterized by counteracting the initial expectations of students. This characteristic may contribute to the emergence of learning situations extremely promising. However, the privilege, by the teacher, the description of certain results shortens the involvement that the student could establish on teaching situations favor a more careful observation that can be done. We discuss in this paper, the that surprise may be manifested in the student on an experimental demonstration and its ability to mobilize the interest and curiosity of this student. We intend to observe the pedagogic value that represents the amazing effect such in situations of teaching and learning, particularly for the Teaching of Physics, as well as the possibilities for educational approaches.Through an extensive analysis of several authors who address about experimental learning activities, Epistemology of Science and Education, we found some results that lead us to understand some of the possibilities that the surprise element can propose. We describe a demonstration activity that we consider amazingly from our point of view and that was realized in a regular classroom in a of Rio Claro Public High School in the year of 2011

Proliferação e Morte Celular (Apoptose) avaliadas em ratos Lewis após tratamento com mistura de praguicidas em baixas doses

The use of pesticides in Brazil has intensified over the years. And since 2009 it was ranked as the largest market for pesticides worldwide. The consequential diffuse contamination of the environment is therefore due to the increasing number of chemicals of different classes, origins and modes of action. Little is known about the action of pesticides on human health in situations of co-exposure. Possible toxic effects are not restricted to agricultural and industrial workers, but also the general population that may be exposed continuously to its residues in food and water. Although these pesticides are mostly present in the environment at low doses, it must be considered that possible cumulative or synergistic effects may occur when there are concurrent or sustained exposure for two or more of these agents, which can lead to late manifestation of subclinical damages, sometimes irreversible. Thus, the specific objective of this study was to assess the effect of carcinogenesis promotion of a mixture of pesticides at low doses and analyze the phenomena of cell proliferation and apoptosis in rat liver. A total of 50 male Lewis rats was separated into 5 groups for 8 weeks in a medium term hepatocarcinogenesis model. The three different classes of pesticides (dieldrin, dicofol, endosulfan, dichlorvos and permethrin), whose residues were detected by ANVISA during the period from 2001 to 2005 in tomatoes cultures, were added to the feed of rats initiated to hepatocarcinogenesis with diethylnitrosamine (DEN- 200mg/kg ip). We used two different mixtures, one with no toxic effects at doses (MEX1) referring to the NOEL (no-observed-effect level) and another at doses LOEL / LEL / LOAEL (Lowest-observed-effect level / Lowest-effect level / Lowest -observed-adverse-effect level), to the installation of adverse effects (MEX2), derived from chronic studies. Novas alternativas quimioterápicas para o tratamento do câncer através de compostos organometálicos de paládio

O câncer, manifestação originada pelo crescimento descontrolado de células, afeta milhões de indivíduos. Os macrófagos são as primeiras células a serem ativadas para participar de uma resposta imunológica propriamente dita, são células capazes de secretar mais de cem produtos biologicamente ativos, entre esses, espécies reativas de nitrogênio e citocinas que atuam no contexto da resposta imunológica e/ou inflamatória. Sabendo que compostos de paládio (II) podem apresentar potenciais atividades antitumorais, neste trabalho foram testado os compostos de fórmula geral PdI2 (tdmPz) e Pd (SCN)2 (tdmPz), quanto a atividade anti-inflamatória e antitumoral. Como droga padrão das reações realizadas foi utilizada a cisplatina. Foi determinada a ação destes compostos frente ao sistema imunológico através, de ensaios de determinação de índice de citotoxicidade mediano (IC50) pela técnica de MTT, óxido nítrico (NO) e determinação das citocinas pró-inflamatórias TNF- e IL-12. Além disso, foi determinada a atividade antitumoral dos compostos frente à célula tumoral de Ehrlich. Os resultados não mostraram produção de NO e das citocinas IL-12 e TNF- pelos macrófagos peritoneais de animais normais e animais portadores do tumor de Ehrlich na sua forma sólida. No que se referem à atividade tóxica dos compostos testados, estes mostraram efeito citotóxico sobre os macrófagos e sobre a linhagem tumoral testada. Sendo assim mesmo não havendo a produção de mediadores próinflamatórios, os compostos apresentaram uma considerável citotoxicidade frente às células tumorais de Ehrlich e macrófagos peritoneais

This paper will examine the experience of serenaders in the city of Rio Claro – SP. The trajectory of this cultural expression will be described, reconstructed, interpreted and mapped and mapped from the late 1940s to the present day via the oral history of the memories of the musicians who have experienced the practice and experience.
