Currently, there has been a growing concern for men and women with the appearance of the face and body, driven primarily by aesthetic standards set by the media. For this, the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries have conducted numerous research projects aiming at the development of formulations that mitigate the aging and some skin disorders such as hipercromies. One of the most frequent pathologies of skin is melasma, a manifestation of hyperpigmentation caused by hipermelanogenesis symmetrical and progressive, caused usually by hormonal irregularities, exposure to sunlight and genetic factors. In addition to sunscreen, the treatment is indicated the use of depigmenting substances, among them the kojic dipalmitate (DK), which is cleaved into kojic acid (5- hydroxy-2-hydroxy-methyl-4H-piran-4-one) by esterase after absorption by the skin cells. The kojic acid inhibits the action of tyrosinase as a chelator of ions and promotes the reduction of eumelanin and its precursor monomer. To promote a controlled release and improve the stability of the system, the DK can be incorporated into multiple emulsions, that is, complex systems composed of two emulsifications, where the two types of emulsions (W/O and O/W or O/W and W/O) exist simultaneously, forming emulsions of type W/O/W or O/W/O. This work aimed to incorporate the DK in emulsion W/O/W, physical-chemical systems obtained and to evaluate the antioxidant and depigmenting action in vitro of the developed formulations. The physico-chemical characterization was performed by microscopic analysis, quantification and size distribution, determination of pH, conductivity, zeta potential and bioadhesive test of the formulations. The droplet size in accordance with the use of light microscopy and dynamic light scattering is approximately 1μm. The common vampire bat Desmodus rotundus has as main food source blood of medium and large sizes mammals, but sporadically is observed feeding on birds, causing occasionally excessive bleeding and economic losses. Due to this D. rotundus is one of the most studied species of bats in the Americas. Once known that the lunar clarity might influence the nocturnal activities of the common vampire bats, the present study was carried out to know the behavior and schedules of emergencies and returns of bats to the shelter, its social behavior at the shelter´s entrance, especially of the dominant male, and the size and composition of the colony in different moon phases. The colony was composed by 105 individuals (65 females and 40 males) harboring in a hollow-tree of Farm Edgardia in Botucatu Municipality, State of São Paulo. Through the eight filming sessions, two for each moon phase, it was possible to observe that the distribution of emergences and returns to the shelter thought the night followed a specific pattern for each moon phase. The greatest number of emerging bats occurred in periods in which the moon was not born yet and the largest number of returns just before moon has been reached its maximum level in the sky. Therefore, the time period that bats are staying outside the shelter seems to be directly influenced by lunar light. This factor can influence the social activity of the colony and, in particular, the dominant male, who remains still on tree’s trunk, near the entrance of the shelter with greater frequency during periods of low moon light

O objetivo deste projeto foi identificar as necessidades referentes às atividades práticas/experimentais no ensino de Ciências nas séries iniciais do ensino fundamental e realizar oficinas de formação continuada aos professores para suprir essas necessidades. Para isso, elaborou-se um questionário que foi aplicado a 129 professores das séries iniciais em 10 escolas municipais de Botucatu, com perguntas sobre dados gerais e atitude sobre o Ensino de Ciências/atividades experimentais. Os resultados mostraram que 69,77% dos professores não sabem o que é o letramento científico; os conteúdos mais desenvolvidos são: Corpo Humano (12,62%), Animais (11,07%), Água (10,68%), Plantas (10,10%), Meio ambiente (9,9%) e Higiene (9,32%). As maiores dificuldades para desenvolver o conteúdo foram: falta de material (28,32%), não saber elaborar/desenvolver atividades práticas (22,12%), falta de local (11,50%), falta de tempo (7,96%) e falta de conhecimentos do professor (9,73%). Sobre a freqüência de práticas, 58,06% utilizam ―às vezes‖. As maiores dificuldades para o uso de práticas são: falta de material (28,42%), falta de local (26,32%) e falta de conhecimento do professor (9,47%). As práticas utilizadas com maior freqüência são recursos – vídeos, textos – (29,41%), temas (19,12%) e atividades de campo (12,50%). Nota-se que faltam cursos de atualização e de conhecimentos básicos sobre ciências aos professores, que realizam poucas práticas com seus alunos e afirmam ter falta de conhecimento sobre ciências. Os dados serviram de referência para a elaboração de uma proposta de oficinas para professores, enfatizando-se a importância do ensino de ciências e das atividades práticas. Foi, ainda, elaborada uma apostila para os professores, que podem ser realizadas em sala de aula, com materiais de fácil acesso.

This work was developed from a literature search in order to provide teachers of physics theoretical and methodological requirements for the use of experimentation in physics teaching, with the aim of contributing to the teaching practice of these teachers and, consequently, for improving teaching this discipline. Therefore, to deal in the course of this research, the goals and types of practical activities, new information and communication technologies that fit the experimental approaches and the role of the teacher in this context, specifying the variables that influence and relate with experimental activities. Studies are presented on the methodology and planning of experimental activities to draw attention to the teacher and the important issues relevant to the preparation of these activities as, for example, the proposed objectives and types of discourse and existing approaches for the conduct of practical activities. In this sense, the trend is highlighted for walks where the approach of practical activities, within the context of practices interactionist and are pointed out strengths and weaknesses of different types of activities presented. We also highlight aspects of the learning process associated with some theoretical reference that are on that subject, as Piaget, Vigotski and Ausubel, so that the teacher can apply the concepts in their theories worked in the practical lessons of physics

The Brazilian population needs of practicing exercises increases every day by the health or pleasure results of it. But although conventional options of physical activities are more popular and easier to find out wherever you go, alternative ways of exercising yourself and unconscious and indirect ways to obtain wellness and health are increasing its popularity nowadays. One example of it is the circus classes inside the gyms, where people have fun during intense body working, while get in shape and relax them mind, getting all the benefits like any other conventional physical activity does. Thinking about the increasing teaching of circus arts like a new option of physical activity and leisure to the Sao Paulo citizens inside its bigger gyms, this study founded out how and why these classes were offered there and the reasons of the people interests and maintenance of them practice in this kind of classes.

As atividades de aventura na natureza surgem com objetivo de atender aos interesses pelo ar puro, pela ginástica na natureza de uma sociedade influenciada pelo modelo higienista. Esportes na natureza de caráter aventureiro começam então a ser praticados especialmente em países ‘desenvolvidos’. Fatores motivacionais, a necessidade de fuga do cotidiano, a busca por novas sensações e o avanço tecnológico possibilitou a melhoria na qualidade de equipamentos utilizados para segurança e contribuíram para a ampliação do mercado das atividades de aventura na natureza. Além disso, a grande quantidade de locais naturais como praias, montanhas, chapadas, matas, cerrados, cavernas, permite que este mercado, de caráter turístico, se expanda pelo Brasil. Mesmo com este crescimento, os estudos envolvendo o mercado das atividades de aventura são poucos e ainda, esparsos, merecendo maior atenção. Este estudo, de natureza qualitativa, tem por objetivo investigar o ramo de mercado referente às atividades de aventura da cidade de Brotas-SP, procurando compreender os fatores de crescimento destas práticas do contexto do lazer e as principais características das adaptações exigidas para atender a atual demanda. Para tanto, o estudo constitui-se da união da pesquisa bibliográfica e pesquisa de campo, que será realizada por meio da aplicação de uma entrevista, realizada com uma amostra intencional de proprietários das empresas de atividades de aventura da cidade de Brotas-SP, que, prontamente, se dispuseram a responder à entrevista. The difficulties related to physics teaching are related to methodology, that hinder learning, because some physical concepts beyond the common sense of most students. Just as poor training of some physics instructors in teaching is pedagogical difficulties. And also factors of infrastructure, heterogeneity in students' previous training etc.. It is proposed aim of this work to use reflection of teaching practice as a methodology. Practiced in a private school, mostly state and, in high school in Rio Claro. The method consists of preparing a daily pedagogical practice in parallel to the development of teaching, for analysis and identification of factors that result in improving the teaching of physics and physics teacher qualification

A psicologia do esporte se constitui como uma vasta área, tanto de atuação profissional como de produção de conhecimento. Sua importância se dá no sentido de preparar o praticante de atividade física psicologicamente para que, diante de momentos decisivos, apresente um rendimento ótimo e preparo para lidar com as situações que a modalidade exprime. Em todo nível de atividade física ou esporte deve haver um motivo que leve o indivíduo a optar por determinada prática esportiva. A motivação é caracterizada como um processo ativo, intencional e dirigido a uma meta, o qual depende de fatores pessoais (intrínsecos) e ambientais (extrínsecos). Ela denota os fatores e processos que levam as pessoas a uma ação ou inércia em diversas situações. As Atividades Físicas de Aventura vêm ganhando adeptos, despertando o interesse e a curiosidade de muitas pessoas. Diversos são os motivos que acarretam na prática das Atividades Físicas de Aventura. Diante disso, torna-se relevante identificar as razões pelas quais mais e mais pessoas procuram as Atividades Físicas de Aventura como prática de atividade física. Embasado em um estudo qualitativo, buscou-se, por meio de uma extensa revisão de literatura, elencar os principais motivos que fomentam a prática das Atividades Físicas de Aventura. Espera-se que o presente estudo possa contribuir para o melhor entendimento da razão pela qual as pessoas optam por praticar Atividades Físicas de Aventura. Diversos estudos sugerem que a escolha por tais atividades pode ser traduzida pelo desejo de aproximação maior e mais intensa com o meio natural. As pessoas procuram o contato mais substancial e constante com o ambiente natural, não somente no intuito de beneficiar a saúde, mas, inclusive, para promover atitudes que beneficiem a preservação do ambiente, sendo este um fator essencial no equilíbrio existencial das espécies. The transportation of oil through polyducts implies a concern related to safety and environmental impacts they may cause, especially when exposed to risks that affect their integrity. Among the various anthropogenic activities included in this scenario, mining can aggravate, increase the risks and degrade the environment. Since these polyducts go through significant extensions, remote sensing has great applicability as a tool for data acquisition. For this, change detection techniques were used to monitor mining activities in a defined study area in the state of Rio de Janeiro, along the duct ORBEL. The characterization of the study area and the mining activities were developed through bibliographical data. The satellite images processing and the application of change detection technique were performed in two scenes for the years 2002 and 2010. The growth in the mining area was about 6.67 times and it was possible to identify types of extraction involved which can represent direct risks to the pipeline

This research aimed to verify if the use of experimental demonstration activities through an approach that employed discursive patterns that provided social interaction in the classroom, provided the students motivation to participate in activities and learn the worked contents. The students of this research were twenty four in a Guaratinguetá's school, aged between 19 and 24 years. The instruments of analysis were transcripts of conversations that occurred between student / teacher and student / student and also the studes s answers to a evaluative questionnaire. In order to support this analysis, we used the Vygotsky Social Historical theory . The results showed that the use of demonstration activities, following an approach that used discursive patterns that enabled the social interaction between teacher and students and among students, motivated students to learn the worked contents

The Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative and progressive disease, mostly seen in elderly people, characterized by memory loss. This commitment leads causes deficits in functional capacity, compromising the individual in execution of activities of daily living, like dressing and bathing. This study, with a longitudinal character, aimed analyze the effects of a protocol of weights training (WT) in global cognitive status and realization of activities of daily living (ADL´s) basic and instrumental in AD patients, comparing the effects of four months of WT in the performance of ADL´s in global cognitive status. And also aimed to verify the possible relations between ADL's and global cognitive status of patients before and after the experimental period. The study included 24 patients with clinical diagnosis of AD, divided into two groups: a) training group (TG) consisted of 13 patients who underwent a protocol of WT b) Social Gathering Group (SCG) consists of 11 patients participating in a protocol of social gathering not systematized with activities of reading, writing and walking. Both protocols lasted four months, being developed in three non-consecutive weekly sessions, lasting 60 minutes each. To quantify global cognitive status and the basic and instrumental ADLs were used, respectively, the Mini-Mental State Examination and the Self Perception of Performance in Activities of Daily Living, along with the battery of tests of Activities of Daily Life of Andreotti and Okuma (1999). To analyze the results where complied the nature of the data, using analysis of variance for repeated measures ANOVA two-way and Pearson correlation for continuous data and tests of U Mann Whitney, Wilcoxon and Spearman correlation for non-continuous data, assuming level significance of 5% for all analysis. In this work, is discussed the importance of experimental activities in Education of Physics in Basic Education from the experience of Supervised Stage and the work with the Initiation of Teaching in the Program PIBID CAPES, in this case linked to the Department of Education of the Institute of Biosciences, Campus Rio Claro, São Paulo State, in partnership with three schools of basic education in the city. At first, based on the work of Ferreira with Instrumentation for Teaching Physics, consider the electrostatic theme. The focus is the searching for equipments constructed with low cost materials and easy access. Were developed and promoted strategies of the use of such materials in Physics’ Teaching, with a view to reintroducing experimental teaching activities in Public Basic Education, in the form Workshop Learning and Teaching of Physics, as well as lessons of Laboratory with the help of script and also in the form of an Experiments Library. These experimental activities were critically analyzed with a focus on playfulness. The focus of work in experimental activities for the Physics’ Teaching allowed to redeem, critically, didactic materials. From the standpoint of playfulness, playful moments and interaction of individuals with the knowledge that provides the experimental material when used strategically, they seem to be of great relevance to the Physics’ Teaching in Basic Education. The environmental diagnosis of any area affected for mining activities contributes in a positive form for the analysis of the characteristics of the environment, biological and social, thus being able to establish control parameters. The clay extration for red ceramics promotes the environment degradation as any another one cultivates of mineral goods, but in lesser scale, which had to the dimensions of potteries. Being thus, some decurrent environment characteristics of the clay extration had been inquired clearly used for potteries located in the city of Rio Claro, SP. For this, the followed method was the cadastre of these areas and potteries in created tables, searching, with this, the contribution for the involved people in the extract activity of related potteries and the facilitation in the visualization of the main problems, necessities and proposals for each one. It could be perceived that the environmental diagnosis of the areas had in common presented referring points to the places where if they find the activities. The same ones are located in the region the northwest of Rio Claro and well next one to the others. Moreover, they have in common, referring characteristics to the process of manufacture of bricks. In common, all the responsibility for the administration and course of the activities competes to the proper families, since the administrative part, even though to the process of manufacture of the bricks. Moreover, from the comment of the areas through field work, the prominent use of diverse areas in the region for the clay extration is noticed, making with that the region has great importance in the regional scene.
