The project, developed at the Health and Education Studies´ Center, in the Unity of the Science and Philosophy’s College, UNESP, Marilia´s campus, had as goal the development of a study about the appropriation of writing by children with Down ’s syndrome. Five children, from 10 to 13 years old, on different situations of scholar levels, were took part in the project. As research procedure, it was developed weekly pedagogical interventions, based on HistoricalCultural Theory. At the beginning, the group presented different dimensions of approximation with the writing universe. It was observed advances on the graphic representation and on the individual trials of writing. Two childrens began to build small texts, one of the children is on the beginning of the alphabetic writing and two other children continue to present difficulties, getting close of the writing in a very not confortable way, stuck on the scholar formality and a direct mediation to the words constitution is needed.

The objective the work at hand has is to discuss the dropouts of students from the major Physics in the campus of Guaratinguetá – UNESP. A survey has been made about the number of graduated and evaded students of each class since 1989, year that this course was created, until the year 2011. For this purpose, lists were collected from the section of graduation of the university, in which you will find names, year of entry, way of entry and situation of each students already enrolled in the course. Data about the dropouts of other courses of Physics at UNESP were also collected, in order to compare with the results from the unity of Guaratinguetá. Besides that, the results from researches about the lack of physics professors in the country were also taken into consideration. Some of this research sought to identify the main reasons of dropouts from the students of Physics. The data collected indicates that the dropout of this course in the campus of Guaratinguetá is higher when compared to the dropouts of others in this institution. It’s also true that the dropout rates haven’t changed significantly over the years, the average being 66.2% in the period between 1989 and 2007. However, the reason for the dropouts has changed of the years, dropouts to change for other majors increased, especially after 2005, being responsible for almost half of the dropouts in the last three years. The survey with the enrolled students of 2012 showed that this is a group of young students that don’t work and many of them have enrolled with the intension to transfer to other courses. These data contradicts the results of some researches that point out difficulties for students to reconciling work with study as one of the main causes of the dropouts. Coroa da terra: a poesia como (re)criação do mundo

This monograph is aimed at reflecting the internal structure of the book Coroa da Terra (1946), the Portuguese poet Jorge de Sena (1919-1978), investigating for this, the guiding criteria for the ordering of poems. Starting from a question posed by an author paratext, we considered the possibility that the book is constituted as a unit of poetic path, in which each poem comprises a stretch of the pilgrimage undertaken by the poet toward the crown of the Earth. Moreover, from the epigraph of the book and the Preface (1960) of 1st edition of Poesia I (1961), we consider the idea that the Coroa da Terra is a search for truth, or even that the pilgrimage made by the poet is on the trail of a poetic word conscious and therefore ethically responsible. This search would set the poetic language of testimony, from which derive two other important vectors for the exegesis of poetry seniana: metamorphosis and pilgrimage. Upholding the unity of the book would be the language in dialectical flow as a formal procedure, which enables the poet be an expression in constant motion. To check the validity of our hypothesis, we conducted an analysis of four poems in sequential order (―Purgatório‖, ―Suma Teológica‖, ―Os trabalhos e os dias‖, ―Espiral‖). To them, it was added to analyze the poem ―Metamorfose‖, poem 23rd of the Coroa da Terra, which acted as a reference point and as close to the research by presenting a character's thought seniano synthesis. It was found that the idea of unity is sustained when we consider Coroa da Terra as a journey of formative poetic direction

O paradigmático caso do processo às juntas militares argentinas

This article analyzes the case of the proceedings against Argentina’s Military Juntas that led to jail those responsible for heinous crimes committed during the military dictatorship. The said proceeding has a high symbolic value in the struggle for human rights in Latin America and is relevant and timely in Brazil where the right to the truth regarding the missing people during the military dictatorship is in debate, as well as the invalidation of the Amnesty Act regarding the common crimes of torture, rape and / or kidnapping, among others. In the case of Argentina, following Roxin’s doctrine of mediate authorship, the Court held that the crimes were committed by the military through the use of an organized power apparatus and emphatically dismissed allegations that such crimes were justified in the so-called “dirty war”. Thus, the case against the Military Juntas has become a paradigmatic one, not only in Argentina, where many military leaders had to respond to criminal actions, but for all countries in the region that faced similar situations in recent history.

Laços de família e segredos (sexuais) compartilhados: narrativa de história de vida de uma jovem dissidente em uma família homofóbica

This paper presents a non-heterosexual young lady s Narrative Life History. By presenting it, we aim to understanding how desire, (in)visibility and the processes of exclusion are articulated in relation to the experience of homoeroticism, especially within the family. By this, we are able to point out some homophobic aspects, modes of how the device of closet operates and how some expectations and demands exert pressures over a non-heterosexual member in the family. In this case study, the way her family lived her sexuality depended on a strong family ties, such as: the secret about sexuality. Such secret, according to our hypothesis, was produced and preserved by homophobia which served as the major aspect on the construction of gender and (dis)unity of the family. This work is part of a in progress doctoral thesis, sponsored by FAPESP Fundação para o Amparo à Pesquisa no Estado de São Paulo.

This work presents a brief historical about the use of ionizing radiations in Veterinary Medicine, instructing the physical beginnings and techniques wrapped in the realization of the proceedings of radiotherapy in animals, illustrating some treated cases, highlighting the difficulties and pointing to the perspectives and importance of the acting of the medical physics in this kind of therapeutic still little used in the national scenery.

A estética japonesa na cultura brasileira: reflexões a partir de um estudo etnofotográfico sobre a performance ritual da festa da Cerejeira de Garça-SP

Aiming to understand the Japanese aesthetic in Brazilian culture and to produce a photographic exhibition of artistic and ethnographic nature, we performed a symbolic exegesis of the ritual performance of Garça Cherry Festival - SP (Brazil). The event takes place annually and is held in memory and honor of oriental culture. The festival features various elements of Japanese culture through expressive forms such as dance, music, costumes, martial arts and cooking. Therefore, the study was based on the anthropology of performance and visual anthropology with regard to symbolic exegesis of the party and look artistic and ethnographic photographic records of the proceedings. Such procedures supported the realization of artistic display that contributed, in turn, in promoting the local culture to a wider audience, and, methodologically, have contributed in visual identification and interpretation of the cultural elements of the ceremony.
