The bias in reversing the Box-Cox transformation in time series forecasting: An empirical study based on neural networks

The Box-Cox transformation is a technique mostly utilized to turn the probabilistic distribution of a time series data into approximately normal. And this helps statistical and neural models to perform more accurate forecastings. However, it introduces a bias when the reversion of the transformation is conducted with the predicted data. The statistical methods to perform a bias-free reversion require, necessarily, the assumption of Gaussianity of the transformed data distribution, which is a rare event in real-world time series. So, the aim of this study was to provide an effective method of removing the bias when the reversion of the Box-Cox transformation is executed. Thus, the developed method is based on a focused time lagged feedforward neural network, which does not require any assumption about the transformed data distribution. Therefore, to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, numerical simulations were conducted and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error, the Theil Inequality Index and the Signal-to-Noise ratio of 20-step-ahead forecasts of 40 time series were compared, and the results obtained indicate that the proposed reversion method is valid and justifies new studies. Although one cannot prevent the birth of human beings with cleft palate lesions one can adopt attitudes and various procedures entirely viable to rehabilitate and recuperate these persons through a team work composed of the facilities of a hospital, physician, dentist, psychotherapist, epeech pathologist, pedagogue and a social worker. In order to reduce the suffering of these patients we took up this work to prove that even if not in an ideal manner nevertheleses in an acceptable one we can reintegrate these persons to their families, friends and social milieu, offering them more security in their social, psychic and human relationships. We have made a review of the literature during the last three decades where we found many possibilities of prosthetic recuperations which concerns esthetics, mastication and maxillomandibular relationships beyond allowing these pacients conditions to perform satisfactory the functions of deglution and speech. We have selected and executed 5 clinical cases out of 15 pacients formely choosen looking to different prosthetic plannings. We have also shown the major contribution that the osseous integrated implants can offer to the rehabilitation and recuperation of pacients whith congenitall labio palatal lesions. To simplify the understanding we tried to discuss the most varied types of prosthesis in well defined subjects having a separate approach for each of them and we still showed that the specificity of each case leads to a specific type of rehabilitation founded om esthetics, occlusion, osseous suport, edentulous space, and above all based in the common sense and Professional integrity

Currently the Brazilian construction market is growing like gangbusters and every day grows its competition. With this Brazilian scenario, the government is supporting the construction companies and offering resources for real estate projects. To acquire resources Caixa Econômica Federal requirements you must meet in planning the work, as the development of budgets, timelines and memorials. This study aimed to planning a work according to the requirements of Caixa Econômica Federal, which was done with the aid of two softwares . First the methods and tools that are used to perform a planning were discussed. Then, based on the theory and observing the requirements of the financing bank budgets, memorials and schedules with the help of software were performed. At the end of the project, it was possible to observe the importance of using theoretical methods and software to facilitate and improve the timelines and budgets made , and thus the planning itself, which every day becomes more common in construction companies, because with the increase of competition and market requirements, is critical to reducing the loss and time, thus maintaining customer satisfaction and company

Proposta para planejamento da arborização viária do bairro do Alvinópolis, município de Atibaia - SP

The urban arborization planning must consider technical criteria, to avoid future conflicts between trees and the urban space, and sociocultural criteria, to satisfy the local population necessities. Considering this principle, the present work proposes an arborization plan for a pilot area enclosing three of the principal streets from Alvinopolis District, county of Atibaia – SP. In order to tackle this objective, requests of tree removal were analyzed to get a panorama of how the subject takes place in the county. After that, promising sites for tree planting were selected in the enclosing area, and urban arborization of the three (3) main streets were retake, proposing necessary substitutions. Finally, 238 residents all over Alvinopolis County have been interviewed, with the objective of appraising their subject sense and focus on environmental education. Then three maps were made: the first one representing characteristics that influence in arborization, the second representing the present arborization and the nine (9) necessary substitutions, and the third representing the plan for the arborization of the pilot area. From the interviewed people, 79% shown themselves favorable to urban arborization, otherwise it does not discard the necessity to inform population about adequate species, county laws and adequate handling of trees.

Zoneamento geoambiental como instrumento de planejamento e gestão de recursos do pólo cerâmico de Santa Gertrudes

The disorded and unnplaned occupation is not recent in out territory but it concerns to a historical territorial invasion that roots the time of our country discovery. However, they have started to cause issues nowadays, as in the case of urban conurbations. Somehow these unorganized urban, industrial and agricultural occupations did not have any sort of information or indication of the appropriate situation at that time. Because of that there has been researches by several groups to induce the users of the several renewable and non renewable resources to explore them according to their natural potential capacity.The Ceramic Pole of Santa Gertrudes, the national largest producer of ceramic tile, faces this problem of disorder occupation. Among other themes, the reorganization of the physical environment, proposed by several groups of researchers and scholars of this subject, is gaining attention now.The method of Geoenvironmental Zoning results in a way of prevention from this issue. Crossing information of the physical environment and generating maps whose areas and subdivisions have similar characteristics, it is possible to manage studies and handle these areas according to their potentiality.
