The soil management system can modify the natural distribution of the soil attributes and, consequently, the variability of the soil aggregation and organic matter content. Thus, the aim of this work was to evaluate the aggregate stability and organic matter content spatial distribution on a Haplic Cambisol under sugar cane cultivation in the Southern Amazonas State, Brazil. A 70 x 70 m square mesh, with regular 10 meters intervals, was designed over the cultivation area, resulting in 64 sample points. Soil blocks with preserved structure were collected at 0.0-0.2 m depth in order to analyze the aggregate stability and organic matter content. The data were submitted to the descriptive and geostatistical analysis. The soil attributes presented a spatial dependence structure and the greater range was observed for the mean weighted diameter and aggregate class <1.00 mm. Also, there is a spatial relation among the mean geometric diameter, mean weighted diameter and aggregate classes (>2.00 and 2.00-1.00 mm).

In Brazil, the proliferation phenomenon of gated communities and land lots had its origins in big cities, such as Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, since 1970. The implementation of these types of intramural housing are done in expanding are as of the city, based on the availability of bigger lots, lower land prices, and the search for are as closer to nature. The gated communities and land lots that, initially, had their architecture only accessible to the higher social classes, as a second home alternative away from urban problems, nowadays they can be reached by other social classes as well. Gated communities and land lots find their way to the center of larger cities, sustained mostly by the speech of real state entrepreneurs, and by its social “status”, a new emerging characteristic of this time period. The expansion of gated communities and land lots also change the cities lands cape and social spatial configuration. This work, therefore, attends the localization of gated communities and land lots spread out in the city of Rio Claro. It analyzes the scale in which the dynamics of the city’s urban expansion influenced the current distribution of these types of housing

In contrast to what happened in the past where it was possible to select which species had a lower degree of variation, it is now necessary to use fast-growing species with efficient processing. For that we use the wood of Eucalyptus sp and studies related to the machining processes and their parameters such as wear of cutting tools and roughness. The present work aims to analyze the influence of geometry of cutting tools of high speed steel and the influence of the diameter of the final pieces in the process of turning wood of Eucalyptus sp in relation to power consumption, roughness, temperature machining, chip formed and wear of cutting tools. It was observed that the smaller the diameter of the end parts and greater wear of the tools, the worse quality of the machined surfaces and the greater the power consumed in the process of machining

The aim of this research project is to analyze the spatial productive circuit and circles of cooperation of Fairtrade coffee, taking as a case of study the Associação dos Agricultores Familiares do Córrego D'antas (ASSODANTAS), Poços de Caldas - MG. The main purpose is to analyze material flows (grains, supplies, etc.) established between geographically separated stages of production (production, exchange, distribution and consumption) and the relationships between the agents in order to analyze the organization and regulation of production of Fairtrade coffee. It is understood as the insertion of the Fairtrade ASSODANTAS to permit the creation of new production lines, adding value and providing greater identity and autonomy to their small farms, when compared with traditional coffee trade commodity

The Conservation in countrysides landscapes only it will be understood in the context of the habitat fragmentation that have been affected the species richness, abundance and distribution. We carried out a mammal survey in platation forest at São Paulo State and 8 we discussed the species richness comparing with others sites surveyed elsewhere. We investigate the landscape influence in the mammal species distribution through spatial analysis. The absence of primate species in plantation forests appear to be a pattern for this environments. The species richness was similar among areas and it was higher when there have contiguous native forest remnants. Moreover the landscape interference don’t appeared affect the mammal species distribution. In overview the landscape connectivity is ameliorate with forest plantation. However, those species more susceptible to extinction in fragmented landscape only can persist when there are contiguous forest fragments from the plantation forests. The management of plantation forests can improves the conservation value for medium and large size mammals species at countryside landscapes.
