Examines the limitations of the dynamic theory of classification in accommodating the changes and rapid growth of new topics in the universe of knowledge. Change in an analytico-synthetic scheme for classification is much more a web of connections and mapping these changes is a complex process. Suggests that there is need for exploration of this complexity for both improving systems, and revisiting our theory.

In an organisation any optimization process of its issues faces increasing challenges and requires new approaches to the organizational phenomenon. Indeed, in this work it is addressed the problematic of efficiency dynamics through intangible variables that may support a different view of the corporations. It focuses on the challenges that information management and the incorporation of context brings to competitiveness. Thus, in this work it is presented the analysis and development of an intelligent decision support system in terms of a formal agenda built on a Logic Programming based methodology to problem solving, complemented with an attitude to computing grounded on Artificial Neural Networks. The proposed model is in itself fairly precise, with an overall accuracy, sensitivity and specificity with values higher than 90 %. The proposed solution is indeed unique, catering for the explicit treatment of incomplete, unknown, or even self-contradictory information, either in a quantitative or qualitative arrangement.

Bangla OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a long deserving software for Bengali community all over the world. Numerous e efforts suggest that due to the inherent complex nature of Bangla alphabet and its word formation process development of high fidelity OCR producing a reasonably acceptable output still remains a challenge. One possible way of improvement is by using post processing of OCRs output; algorithms such as Edit Distance and the use of n-grams statistical information have been used to rectify misspelled words in language processing. This work presents the first known approach to use these algorithms to replace misrecognized words produced by Bangla OCR. The assessment is made on a set of fifty documents written in Bangla script and uses a dictionary of 541,167 words. The proposed correction model can correct several words lowering the recognition error rate by 2.87% and 3.18% for the character based n- gram and edit distance algorithms respectively. The developed system suggests a list of 5 (five) alternatives for a misspelled word. It is found that in 33.82% cases, the correct word is the topmost suggestion of 5 words list for n-gram algorithm while using Edit distance algorithm the first word in the suggestion properly matches 36.31% of the cases. This work will ignite rooms of thoughts for possible improvements in character recognition endeavour.

The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the best set of features that automatically enables the identification of argumentative sentences from unstructured text. As corpus, we use case laws from the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). Three kinds of experiments are conducted: Basic Experiments, Multi Feature Experiments and Tree Kernel Experiments. These experiments are basically categorized according to the type of features available in the corpus. The features are extracted from the corpus and Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest are the used as Machine learning algorithms. We achieved F1 score of 0.705 for identifying the argumentative sentences which is quite promising result and can be used as the basis for a general argument-mining framework.

A photovoltaic cell is a component which converts light energy into electrical energy. Different environmental parameters and internal parameters have a great impact on the output of the photovoltaic cell. To identify its characteristics and estimate the output, the well known Shockley diode equation is used. This equation contains all the parameters, as one environmental and different internal. The properties of these parameters were studied and their sensitivity have been analyzed through the use of an error function; this error function allows the study of the behaviour of the parameters and their characteristics against the output of the photovoltaic cell through the analysis of its curves giving the sensitivity of the different parameters to the output of the photovoltaic cell. Using these results the impact of the parameters of the photovoltaic cell has been clearly identified. White noise is included both with the ideal values and the simulation and the ideal value is imposed to get the real time environment flavor. This work analyses both systems with and without white noise.

This paper provides a complete description of the Commercial Education Professional Competency Profile that resulted from the curricular diagnosis of the Licenciatura en Educacin Comercial , at the Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica. The methodological strategy used relies on the principles of research on education. Upon expert validation, written questionnaires were applied to first-year students, students of the licenciatura, practicing professionals and employers. The objective was to describe a particular education situation. Data was analyzed according to two categories: intentions/principles and scope/development. The findings resulted in the characteristics of the Commercial Education professionals, i.e. characteristics related to the discipline, characteristics related to the administrative management of teaching, specific and general characteristics of education and pedagogy, and characteristics associated to human development. Based on those criteria, on the curricular requirements of the information sources and on the curricular perspectives of the Academic Unit, ideas were put into practice to build the competency profile. The ideas proposed comprise the curricular fundamentals of the educational project on which the profile is set out, which include the subject of the study program, the global competency or training goal, the generic competencies as cross-cutting approaches, as well as the pedagogical and disciplinary specific competencies. The specific competencies of the discipline are focused on four competency areas: document production, organizational support, technological resources and information management.(1) Translators Note: One-year post-Bachelor study program in Commercial Education.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has been designed to help promote a view in favor of the interests of individuals instead of large corporations. However, there is the need of more dedicated technologies that can help companies comply with GDPR while enabling people to exercise their rights. We argue that such a dedicated solution must address two main issues: the need for more transparency towards individuals regarding the management of their personal information and their often hindered ability to access and make interoperable personal data in a way that the exercise of one's rights would result in straightforward. We aim to provide a system that helps to push personal data management towards the individual's control, i.e., a personal information management system (PIMS). By using distributed storage and decentralized computing networks to control online services, users' personal information could be shifted towards those directly concerned, i.e., the data subjects. The use of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) and Decentralized File Storage (DFS) as an implementation of decentralized systems is of paramount importance in this case. The structure of this dissertation follows an incremental approach to describing a set of decentralized systems and models that revolves around personal data and their subjects. Each chapter of this dissertation builds up the previous one and discusses the technical implementation of a system and its relation with the corresponding regulations. We refer to the EU regulatory framework, including GDPR, eIDAS, and Data Governance Act, to build our final system architecture's functional and non-functional drivers. In our PIMS design, personal data is kept in a Personal Data Space (PDS) consisting of encrypted personal data referring to the subject stored in a DFS. On top of that, a network of authorization servers acts as a data intermediary to provide access to potential data recipients through smart contracts.
