Observation of manganese deposits in the Blake Plateau, Florida and Caribbean sea areas

Designed by the Westinghouse Corporation in collaboration with Jacques Cousteau, DEEPSTAR-4000 is a deep diving research vehicle based on Captain Cousteau's DIVING SAUCER. An evaluation of DEEPSTAR's operational performance at sea is presented in this report through a description of typical dive procedures and the actual NAVOCEANO dive results.

Annotated record of the detailed examination of Mn deposits from NASKA cruise stations

The cores and dredges described at this site were taken on the NASKA cruise from 21 February until 26 March 1986 by the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle from the R/V Marion Dufresne. A total of 25 cores and dredges were recovered and are available at MNHN for sampling and study.
