La automatización de la programación diaria de tareas en el C.A.I. Fernando de Dios Buñuel (Cuba)

Desenvolupar una eina de software que pugui automatitzar i resoldre un model matemàtic, amb l'objectiu de minimitzar les despeses de transport des del camp a una central del sucre, i a la vegada garantir l'abastament diàri d'aquesta, per tal de minimitzar les despeses i situar adequadament els recursos disponibles.

Avaluació de la xarxa de comunicacions de la Universitat de Lleida mitjançant tecnologia Honeypot

Anàlisi de la seguretat de la xarxa de la Universitat de Lleida. El treball fa una introducció teòrica del concepte honeypot, així com dels aspectes més importants que el composen. Seguidament, es fa un repàs al funcionament d'aquestes eines utilitzant implementacions reals com a exemples. En la part pràctica es fa un anàlisi a la xarxa de la UdL per a la posterior implementació de les eines necessàries. El treball conclou amb l'anàlisi de les dades obtingudes i les corresponents conclusions.

ScheUDLe generador d'horaris

La idea d'aquest projecte, neix de la complexitat per a la confecció d'horaris i distribució de professors en centres docents amb una gran quantitat de cursos, professors i assignatures. Amb scheUDLe es pretén simplificar aquesta tasca al màxim i reduir el gran treball que suposa quadrar hores i assignatures.

MoniTo 4.0, una herramienta de monitorización de clusters

La herramienta de monitorización de clusters MoniTo debe estar preparada ante los constantes cambios en el kernel de Linux que la pudieran dejar inutilizable. Para evitarlo se ha modificado su implementación utilizando librerías Libgtop. También se ha modificado su interfaz web para adaptarla a los nuevos tiempos, optimizar su funcionamiento y dotarla de nuevas posibilidades.

CompP2P-GUI : interfície gràfica del Sistema de Computació Distribuïda Peer to Peer (CompP2P)

CompP2P és una interfície gràfica implementada amb Java Swing 1.5 del Sistema de Còmput Distribuït P2P CompP2P. És una interfície gràfica polivalent, és a dir, pot ésser usada en diferents sistemes operatius (Linux, Mac0sX, Windows) i per tant ha d'ésser una aplicació multiplataforma. S'ha aconseguit millorar la gestió de tots els recursos de CompP2P mitjançant una interfície gràfica molt usable i també amb modificacions efectuades en el sistema base CompP2P on s'han afegit i/o millorat aspectes com la comunciació remota, les comandes de gestió del sistema, etc.

Disseny i implementació d'un algorisme predictiu de coscheduling dins l'espai d'usuari en un cluster Linux

Dissenyar i implementar un planificador en l'espai d'usuari basant-se en la tècnica de coscheduling, en concret s'utilitzarà coscheduling predictive. L'objectiu és intentar obtenir un rendiment similar al que es va assolir en implementacions de la mateixa tècnica realitzada en l'espai de kernel.

Implementació paral·lela en MPI de l'algorisme de Shanks

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte es implementar la versió en paral·lel de l'algorisme de Shanks en l'entorn MPI. L'algorisme de Shanks resol el problema del logaritme discret, problema en el qual basa la seva seguretat la xifra de clau pública ElGamal.

Implementació de l'algorisme de Wiener i Oorschot en un entorn MPI

Aquest projecte presenta una breu introducció a la criptografia. S'expliquen principis fonamentals, com què és la criptografia i el criptoanàlisi els mètodes més rellevants de cada cas. Això servirà com a base teòrica per estudiar el funcionament del criptosistema de ElGamal, la seguretat del qual es basa en la dificultat de resoldre el problema del logaritme discret. Un cop tenim clar el problema del logaritme discret, s'implementarà una aplicació que el resolgui, mitjançant l'algorisme Rho de Pollard. Aquesta aplicació contarà amb el suport de la llibreria NTL, llibreria de nombres gegants, per poder implementar-la. Per acabarl, i com a principal objectiu, el que es pretén és implementar una aplicació paral·lela que resolgui el problema del logaritme discret en un entorn multicomputador utilitzant la proposta de Wiener i Oorschot.

Despliegue desatendido de GNU/Linux

Instal·lació i configuració de Fully Automatic Installation per automatitzar instal·lacions repetitives en els nodes d'un clúster. S'explica com modificar els paquets oficials d'Ubuntu 8.10 per a què els paquets de Fully Automatic Installation puguin servir als nodes del clúster la distribució Ubuntu 8.10 sense problemes.

AMMAF : Agent Mòbil Monitor d'Alteració de Fitxers

Aquest projecte pretén realitzar un sistema en xarxa que monitoritzi periòdicament l'estat de fitxers clau de cadascun dels computadors de la xarxa emprant el paradigma dels agents mòbils. Es tracta de crear una eina enfocada a la protecció de la xarxa que solucioni problemes típicament associats a les aproximacions existents a les tècniques de la monitorització de fitxers.

An electronic voting platform with elliptic curve cryptography

The future of elections seems to be electronic voting systems du to its advantatges over the traditional voting. Nowadays, there are some different paradigms to ensure the security and reliability of e-voting. This document is part of a wider project which presents an e-Voting platform based on elliptic curve cryptography. It uses an hybrid combination of two of the main e-Voting paradigms to guarantee privacy and security in the counting phase, these are precisely, the mixnets and the homomorphic protocols. This document is focused in the description of the system and the maths and programming needed to solve the homomorphic part of it. In later chapters, there is a comparison between a simple mixing system and our system proposal.

Disseny d'una plataforma de votació electrònica: mòdul criptogràfic

S'ha implementat una plataforma de votació electrònica. En aquest projecte s'explica el mòdul criptogràfic. Per xifrar el vot s'empren corbes el·líptiques i a continuació el criptosistema ElGamal. Abans d'enviar el vot cosigna amb el DNI electrònic emprant la signatura RSA.

The suitability of steam exploded vitis vinifera and alkaline lignin for the manufacture of fiberboard

The main objective of this study was to explore the suitability of Vitis vinifera as a raw material and alkaline lignin as a natural binder for fiberboard manufacturing. In the first step, Vitis vinifera was steam- exploded through a thermo-mechanical vapor process in a batch reactor, and the obtained pulp was dried, ground, and pressed to produce the boards. The effects of pretreatment factors and pressing conditions on the chemical composition of the fibers and the physico-mechanical properties of binderless fiberboards were evaluated, and the conditions that optimize these properties were found. A response surface method based on a central composite design and multiple-response optimization was used. The variables studied and their respective variation ranges were: pretreatment temperature (Tr: 190-210ºC), pretreatment time (tr: 5-10 min), pressing temperature (Tp: 190-210ºC), pressing pressure (Pp: 8-16MPa), and pressing time (tp: 3-7min). The results of the optimization step show that binderless fiberboards have good water resistance and weaker mechanical properties. In the second step, fiberboards based on alkaline lignin and Vitis vinifera pulp produced at the optimal conditions determined for binderless fiberboards were prepared and their physico-mechanical properties were tested. Our results show that the addition of about 15% alkaline lignin leads to the production of fiberboards that fully meet the requirements of the relevant standard specifications

Disseny i implementació de la base de dades d'un sistema de descàrrega d'aplicacions per a mòbils intel·ligents

En aquest projecte es recullen totes les fases necessàries per dissenyar i implementar una base de dades relacional que asseguri la persistència de les dades relatives a les entitats implicades.

Thy-1-mediated cell-cell contact induces astrocyte migration through the engagement of αVβ3 integrin and syndecan-4.

Cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix proteins occurs through interactions with integrins that bind to Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) tripeptides, and syndecan-4, which recognizes the heparin-binding domain of other proteins. Both receptors trigger signaling pathways, including those that activate RhoGTPases such as RhoA and Rac1. This sequence of events modulates cell adhesion to the ECM and cell migration. Using a neuron-astrocyte model, we have reported that the neuronal protein Thy-1 engages αVβ3 integrin and syndecan-4 to induce RhoA activation and strong astrocyte adhesion to their underlying substrate. Thus, because cell-cell interactions and strong cell attachment to the matrix are considered antagonistic to cell migration, we hypothesized that Thy-1 stimulation of astrocytes should preclude cell migration. Here, we studied the effect of Thy-1 expressing neurons on astrocyte polarization and migration using a wound-healing assay and immunofluorescence analysis. Signaling molecules involved were studied by affinity precipitation, western blotting and the usage of specific antibodies. Intriguingly, Thy-1 interaction with its two receptors was found to increase astrocyte polarization and migration. The latter events required interactions of these receptors with both the RGD-like sequence and the heparin-binding domain of Thy-1. Additionally, prolonged Thy-1-receptor interactions inhibited RhoA activation while activating FAK, PI3K and Rac1. Therefore, sustained engagement of integrin and syndecan-4 with the neuronal surface protein Thy-1 induces astrocyte migration. Interestingly we identify here, a cell-cell interaction that despite initially inducing strong cell attachment, favors cell migration upon persistent stimulation by engaging the same signaling receptors and molecules as those utilized by the extracellular matrix proteins to stimulate cell movement.
