Department of Education should continue data collection regarding quality educational services for ASD students in Iowa. The council requires adequate data to continue to make sound recommendations on system improvements for Iowa students.

State of Iowa Outcomes Monitoring System Year 16 Annual Evaluation Report, September 2014

The Outcomes Monitoring System (OMS) was established to systematically gather data on substance abuse treatment outcomes in Iowa. Randomly selected clients from 22 Iowa Department of Public Health-funded treatment agencies were contacted for follow-up interviews that occurred approximately six months after discharge from treatment. This report examines outcomes for clients admitted in calendar year 2013. Outcomes are presented for 334 of the clients who completed the follow-up interview.

Transportation Policy Strategies for Iowa to Advance the Quality of Life, 2004

Building on the policy directions advanced in the publication "Policy Strategies for Iowa in Making Major Road Investments", this report defines each policy issue and discusses how transportation can play a role in addressing it. Perspectives from several focus group meetings conducted in nine communities in Iowa are discussed. The report also examines available data pertaining to the issues. Finally, the report presents several specific recommendations dealing with issues on economic development, safety, choice of transportation modes, and financing transportation in the future. The recommendations are directed at proving the Iowa Transportation Commission with the best possible insights to be used in making investment decisions that will impact the quality of life in Iowa in future years.

Project Evaluation: Iowa Motor Vehicle Fuel Reduction Program, 1989

The results of a study which evaluates the Iowa Motor Vehicle Fuel Reduction Program have been summarized and described in this report. The Iowa Motor Vehicle Fuel Reduction Program was designed to demonstrate fuel savings through traffic signal modernization projects and provide direct benefits to motorists in Iowa.

Iowa's "Great River Road" Scenic Byway Evaluation, 1995

In 1993 the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) received funds to pursue designating additional scenic byways in their on-going Scenic Byways Program. The purpose of this project was twofold. First, scenic quality evaluations were to be performed on approximately 1000 miles across Iowa. Second, a scenic quality evaluation was to be conducted on the Great River Road along the Mississippi River in Iowa. This report is an evaluation of the Great River Road segment of the project.

Evolution of Design Practice at the Iowa State Highway Commission for the Determination of Peak Discharges at Bridges and Culverts, 1971

This paper carries the rather weighty title of "Evolution of Design Practice at the Iowa State Highway Commission for the Determination of Peak Discharges at .Bridges and Culverts." Hopefully, this evolving process will lead to a more precise definition of a peak rate of runoff for a selected recurrence interval at a particular site. In this paper the author will relate where the Highway Commission has been, is now, and will be going in this art of hydrology. He will then offer some examples at a few sites in Iowa to illustrate the use of the various methods. Finally, he will look ahead to some of the pitfalls still lying in wait for us.

The Keokuk & Hamilton Bridge : Keokuk, Iowa - Hamilton, Illinois, 1982

The Keokuk & Hamilton Bridge is one of three remaining in Iowa that were designed by Ralph Modjeski, one of this country's premier early 20th century bridge engineers. The eleven-span, double-deck steel superstructure was built in 1915-1916 on piers retained from an earlier (1869-1871) structure, to meet greater loading requirements from railroads that operated across the Mississippi at this point.

Draft Project Management Update to the Iowa DOT Project Development Manual, 2016

This work supported drafting project management guidance for the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT). The goal is to incorporate a greater focus on project management in their project development process. A technical advisory committee (TAC) was assembled to accomplish this effort. The TAC took into consideration the current status of project management with the Iowa DOT, their experience during the demonstration workshop held in Iowa as part of the implementation assistance they received, the project management peer exchange hosted by the Iowa DOT, and additional examples of project management that were presented. With this basis, the TAC participated in a number of discussions to develop draft guidance for the foundation of a Project Management Office (PMO) within the Iowa DOT. The final report describes the process that was used in establishing this guidance. The report details the decisions and decision process that the TAC employed in this endeavor and provides additional thoughts and insight into the draft guidance. Appendix A includes the draft guidance in the form of PMO function details and detailed lists of project management roles and responsibilities. Appendix B includes a starter list of project management resources for the PMO.

A study of drivers in major accidents, September, 1935-April, 1936, by Harold L. Gaunt [and] Laurence W. Murray, 1936

This preliminary study of the drivers involved in major accidents in Iowa and their subsequent examination was undertaken by the State Planning Board. All personal injury and fatal accidents, and those property damage accidents of such serious nature as to indicate the suspension or revocation of the drivers license, occurring in the state from 1935 to April 1036 are included.

This report contains information about Iowa's public drinking water program for the calendar year 2015. Included in the report are descriptions of Iowa's systems, monitoring and reporting requirements of the systems, and violations incurred during the year. This report meets the federal Safe Drinking Water Act's requirement of an annual report on violations of national primary drinking water regulations by public water supply systems in Iowa.
