In this paper we propose to analyze the relationship established by Fernando Novais with Caio Prado regarding the studies about the colonization. Putting himself as his disciple, Novais exposes his conception of colonization as a deepening means and a way to overcome the way by which the author of Formação do Brasil contemporâneo understood the colonial phenomenon. This way of putting this relationship has been accepted by both the critics and supporters of Novais, thus acquiring certainty of truth. We show in this paper that by rooting his conception of colonization in Prado’s conception, Novais conceived him in a particular way: as an historian of the ‘sense of colonization’. The analysis of Prado’s concept of colonization shows, however, that this is part of his interpretation of the history of Brazil, as a whole. It follows that we can’t isolate one from the other without disturbing the comprehension of Prado’s conception. The result of our text is thus retaking the Prado’s conception in its historicity.

The current context is unique in relation to the teaching of evolution in Brazil and the population's perception of evolution. On the one hand, it is said often about Darwinism in various media, especially due to the relatively recent commemoration of the two hundred years of the birth of Charles Darwin and one hundred and fifty years of the launch of the book The Origin of Species. On the other hand, it is clear, in recent years, a timid movement, more worryingly, in favor of equitable approach of creationist and evolutionist theories in the classroom. This article is a part of a research whose goal is to raise the design that Brazilian respondents have about the Darwinian view (which disregards the divine influence in the evolution of the species). The instrument used for data collection is a questionnaire, type Likert scale, which consists of a series of statements in which respondents must express their degree of agreement or disagreement with each statement. In this study, we present the results of the statement. "The thought of Darwin, which does not consider God as a participant in the process of evolution, is...". Analysis correlated with data on religion and education of the respondents are also held. The results point to a tendency of respondents not to accept the Darwinian view that disregards God's interference in the evolutionary process. The data also show that respondents' choices are influenced by religion and education. The frequency of responses that tend to accept the Darwinian view (which disregards the divine participation in the evolution of the species) is higher among respondents with higher levels of education. Adherents to religions "evangelical" tend to deny this view more often than followers of other religions. Given the potential risks of inserting creationist approaches in school education, it is necessary a discussion of the possible impacts of this rejection of Darwin's thinking (which does not consider God as a participant in the evolutionary process), indicated here, in the teaching of evolution. This study aims to contribute to understanding the complexity related to the definition and practice of "Didactics of Physics" in initial physics teachers training. We intend to make evident how is understood the Didactics of Physics in curricular organizations, since an "observation" from a perspective based on an analysis of theoretical frameworks of Science Teaching, according to which "Didactics of Physics" is an articulating axis between different disciplines and constitutes the knowledge body to be taught in order to teachers learn to teach physics. For that, we used techniques of documentary analysis, constituting a text from a systematic search of information about Physics teachers’ initial education programs, looking for criteria justifying their organizations and contents of disciplines that aim to contribute to the training for teaching, in a study carried out during 2011. We found on these curricular organizations the presence of disciplines in fields such as: Exact Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Teaching Practice, which indicates a consideration of interdisciplinary training which must receive the future teacher. However, without being consistent with Science Education' epistemology, requesting the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge to solve problems related to teach physics in high school, with some exceptions in the preparation for the subject "traineeship" or training for "Didactic transposition", but since different interpretations.

If readers of Great Plains Research are seeking a window on rock art research in North America, this book provides a few clear panes, a few that are hazy, and a few muddy ones. Like many edited volumes, the weaker contributions and lack of a consistent style limit the book's usefulness. Some authors target a general readership; others clearly are addressing colleagues. The book has two stated themes: the history of rock art research in North America and recent approaches to rock art analysis. Articles by Julie Francis and (jointly) David Whitley and Jean Clottes explore why rock art research has long been marginalized in North America. Unfortunately, both of these otherwise observant essays slip into advocacy of shamanism as a unifying or primary explanation for rock art, an interpretive model by no means universally accepted by today's rock art specialists.
