Coarse grained sediment with fine grained domains, clay material, rotation structures and lineations. Clasts range from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Mainly brown sediment with darker patches of brown throughout. Major amounts of grain crushing can be seen in the coarse grained material.

Dark brown sediment with sub-angular to sub-rounded clasts. Rotation structures and lineations are common. Clasts ranging from small to large in size. Many large grains are fractured. Minor amounts of grain stacking and crushing can be seen. A few clay and organic rich domains can be seen.

Dark brown sediment with mainly small clasts. The clasts range from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are abundant throughout the sample. Comet structures are also present throughout the sample. Minor amounts of grain crushing and stacking can also be seen.

Brown sediment with organic matter and clasts ranging from small to large. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Lineations and grain stacking are the most abundant in this sample. Minor amounts of grain crushing can also be seen.

Brown and coarse grained sample with grains ranging from small to large in size. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are abundant throughout the sample. Minor amounts of grain crushing/stacking can also be seen. A few rotation structures are also present throughout the sample.

Brown sediment with multiple domains. Grains range from small to large in size, and angular to sub-rounded in shape. Large amounts of grain crushing can be seen in the coarser domains. The sample is mainly dominated with grain crushing. The finer grained domains contain some clay rich material. Some lineations and rotation structures can also be seen throughout the different domains.

Brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Comet structures, rotation structures, and lineations can be seen throughout the sample. Minor amounts of grain stacking can also be seen.

Dark brown sediment, almost appears black. This may be due to organic material. Clasts are very well dispersed and range from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Lineations can be seen in this sample. There are also a few examples of grain crushing that can be seen.

HOEK UNIT C (Z) B3

Light brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to rounded. Lineations and edge-to-edge grain crushing can mainly be seen in this sample. There are also a few examples of grain stacking and crushed grains.

SUNNY BROOK RANGE

Light brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to medium in size. The clast shape ranges from sub-angular to sub-rounded. Lineations are abundant throughout the sample. Light folding structures can also be seen in this sample. There are minor amounts of grain crushing/stacking also present.

Brown sediment with clasts ranging from small to large in size. The clast shape ranges from angular to sub-rounded. Water escape structures can be seen in this sample among the more clay rich areas. Lineations and a few rotation structures can also be seen in this sample. There were minor amounts of grain stacking/crushing present.

Rotation structures are abundant in this sample and mainly occur around medium sized and large aggregates. Comet structures can also be seen throughout the sample. There are also minor amounts of grain crushing present within this sample.
