Influence of soy oil source and supplementation of the diet with vitamin E and vi tamin C on performance and egg quality of Single Comb White Leghourn lyaing hens from forty four to fity six weeks of age

Two experiments (Exp.) were conducted to determine the AME content of refined soybean oil (SO), recycled soybean oil (RSO), and acidulated soybean oil soapstocks (ASO) and the effects of inclusion of vitamin E and vitamin C in diets containing 3.5% of these soy oils on performance and egg quality of Hy-line hens from 44 to 56 wks of age.

Effect of crude protein and fat content of diets with similar indispensable amino acid profile on productive performance and egg quality of brown egg laying hens differing in initial body weight

In total of 504 Lohmann Brown hens were used to study the influence of the initial BW of the birds and the crude protein (CP) and fat content of the diet on performance and egg quality traits from 22 to 49 weeks of age. The experiment was completely randomized with 8 treatments arranged factorially with 2 initial BW (1,726 vs. 1,987g) and 4 diets with similar AMEn (2,750 kcal AMEn/ kg) and indispensable (lys, Met+Cys, Thr, and Trp) amino acid contents.

An Evening with Richard Claxton “Dick” Gregory, Civil Rights Activist, Nutritionist, Comedian, and Author

Gregory, Richard Claxton “Dick” (Born, October 12, 1932, St. Louis, Mo.), African American comedian and civil rights activist whose social satire changed the way white Americans perceived African American comedians since he first performed in public. Gregory’s autobiography, Nigger, was published in 1963 prior to The assassination of President Kennedy, and became the number one best-selling book in America. Over the decades it has sold in excess of seven million copies. His choice for the title was explained in the forward, where Dick Gregory wrote a note to his mother. “Whenever you hear the word ‘Nigger’,” he said, “you’ll know their advertising my book.” In 1984 he founded Health Enterprises, Inc., a company that distributed weight loss products. In 1987 Gregory introduced the Slim-Safe Bahamian Diet, a powdered diet mix, which was immensely profitable. Economic losses caused in part by conflicts with his business partners led to his eviction from his home in 1992. Gregory remained active, however, and in 1996 returned to the stage in his critically acclaimed one-man show, Dick Gregory Live! The reviews of Gregory’s show compared him to the greatest stand-ups in the history of Broadway.

1.6 Lloyd Gaines, Valedictorian, Vashon Class of 1931

Lloyd Gaines also helped to support his family by selling magazine subscriptions. He graduated in 1931 after only three years and served as the Valedictorian of his class. As a senior, Gaines finished first in a local essay contest, winning a prize of $250 (equivalent to $3000 in modern currency) that he used to enroll as a student at Stowe Teachers College in St. Louis for the 1931-32 school year

During this time Lloyd Gaines took meals at the home of Eddie Mae Page; a friend from St. Louis. Running low on funds, he stayed at the Alpha Phi Alpha house where members took up a collection for him. On a rainy night, March 19, 1939, Lloyd Gaines told friends that he was going to buy stamps and would be right back. To this day, Lloyd L. Gaines has never been located.

ANALISANDO A RELAÇÃO DOS VOLUMES DE EXPORTAÇÃO E DE IMPORTAÇÃO, PIB, TAXAS DE CÂMBIO E INFLAÇÃO NO PERÍODO DE 2004 A 2014.

Esta dissertação visa deslumbrar uma análise macroeconômica do Brasil, especialmente no que se refere à relação dos índices mensais dos volumes das exportações e das importações com os volumes mensais do PIB, da Taxa SELIC e as Taxas de Câmbio, conforme dados coletados no período de janeiro de 2004 a dezembro de 2014, através de pesquisa literária referente aos hist��ricos sobre cada conceito envolvido no âmbito da macroeconomia das varáveis estudadas. Foi realizado um estudo de caso embasado em dados de sites governamentais, no período delimitado, empregando-se o método de regressão linear, com base na Teoria da correlação de Pearson, demonstrando os resultados obtidos no período do estudo para as varáveis estudadas. Desta maneira, conseguiu-se estudar e analisar como as variáveis dependentes (resposta): volume das exportações e volume das importações est��o relacionadas com as varáveis independentes (explicativas): PIB, Taxa Selic e taxa de Câmbio. Os resultados apurados no presente estudo permitem identificar que existe correlação moderada e negativa, quando analisadas a Taxa Selic e a Taxa de Câmbio com os volumes das exportações e das importações, enquanto o PIB apresenta correlação forte e positiva na análise com os volumes das exportações e das importações

Alignment of a 1.2-Mb chromosomal region from three strains of Rhodobacter capsulatus reveals a significantly mosaic structure.

High-resolution physical maps of the genomes of three Rhodobacter capsulatus strains, derived from ordered cosmid libraries, were aligned. The 1.2-Mb segment of the SB1003 genome studied here is adjacent to a 1-Mb region analyzed previously [Fonstein, M., Nikolskaya, T. & Haselkorn, H. (1995) J. Bacteriol. 177, 2368-2372]. Probes derived from the ordered cosmid set of R. capsulatus SB1003 were used to link cosmids from the St. Louis and 2.3.1 strain libraries. Cosmids selected this way did not merge into a single contig but formed several unlinked groups. EcoRV restriction maps of the ordered cosmids were then constructed using lambda terminase and fused to derive fragments of the chromosomal map. In order to link these fragments, their ends were transcribed to produce secondary probes for hybridization to gridded cosmid libraries of the same strains. This linking reduced the number of subcontigs to three for the St. Louis strain and one for the 2.3.1 strain. Hybridization of the same probes back to the ordered cosmid set of SB1003 positioned the subcontigs on the high-resolution physical map of SB1003. The final alignment of the restriction maps shows numerous large and small translocations in this 1.2-Mb chromosomal region of the three Rhodobacter strains. In addition, the chromosomes of the three strains, whose fine-structure maps can now be compared over 2.2 Mb, are seen to contain regions of 15-80 kb in which restriction sites are highly polymorphic, interspersed among regions in which the positions of restriction sites are highly conserved.
