O significado do trabalho entre os jovens na transição de estudante universitário a profissional

The present study analyses the variability of the meaning of the work among young people on the transition from university to professional life, divided according to: university levels, knowledge area and graduation course. A hundred seventeen young people answered the questionaries structured on the components of the meaning of work. Semi-structured interviews were also made with parts of the sample about the themes related to the meaning of work on this way the information of the questionaries became complete. The answers of the interviews were studied through the analysis of the thematic contents. The results of such analysis and the answers of the questionaries were registered on the data base SPSS for Windows. The results of the statistic analysis made indicated that: (1) the centrality of work and the articulations among stronger spheres do not present variability according to level, area or course; (2) the course makes more difference values factors and descriptives factors than area and level; (3) the hierarchy of values presents variability according to area and the descriptive hierarchy presents variability according to course; (4) the level makes more difference specific attributes of the meaning of the work than area and course; (5) the standards of the meaning of work do not present variability according to level, area and course, but present variability according to type of the work market evaluation and planning the future work. In summary, the meaning of work present variability according to level, area and course of the young people, when studied in facets, except for the work centrality

Trabalhadores por conta própria: O trabalho dos vendedores ambulantes da passarela do Natal shopping e do Via Direta

This study aid to understand the work conditions of street vendors located on the sidewalks of two malls in Brazil Northeast Natal / RN - Both malls Natal Shopping and Via Direta, to analyze their inclusion in the informal economy and to study the supposed autonomy provided by work as self-employment in its both aspects economic and social analyzing the importance on the condition of "masters of their own business" has for the street vendors, as an alternative to not submission to the figure of the boss, that represents the exploitation of one class over another. The theoretical and methodological aspects that support this study was aimed in discussion on the restructuring of production, considering its effects on the world of work, pointing to unemployment as one of the potencies element of excluded processes that exciting workers to engage in the informal market. Informality is presented as a survival strategy and as integrating part of the reproduction of capital. This research was conducted under a critical perspective, whish has been utilized quantitative and qualitative analyses. The results of this study format questions that provided during the research process the socio-economic characterization of workers, main cause of this study, and how street vendors expres their status of workers as self-employed for their work, and the perception that they have on their form of inclusion in the informal market.

A violência nossa de cada família: notas sobre a violência intrafamiliar contra a criança

This study, done in a master program, evaluated the thematic regarding the domestic physical violence against children. The data was obtained through the SOS children program from Natal municipality. The used methodology involved either recorded date as well as an interview done with a professional who had been working on the SOS program for more than ten years. The study emphasizes violent situations where children were involved, in particular, beaten by their parents. Our goal was to understand the domestic violence phenomena against children, using as parameter the social context where the families were inserted

As Mulheres e as Muralhas do Patriarcado e do Capitalismo: Terceirização e Precarização do Trabalho no Sistema do Capital

Our dissertation deals with the material living conditions of women workers and the relations of the wage who undergo in the hospital scope, taking as the locus of empirical research the Hospital Dr. João Machado, located in Natal / RN. Its purpose is to analyze the main implications of precarious work contracts in the economic and social dimensions from life of workers, explaining the main conditionings. The majority presence of women in wage relations not only in the hospital service, as well as in the service sector in general has motivated us to appreciation of the form of participation of women in health services and, in particular, at the hospital space. From the critical dialectical method, through processes of successive approximations to the reality, we analyze the patriarchal system of social relations and their repercussions for the Social and Sexual Division of Labor in the context of contemporary capitalist society, explaining the determinants of inequality, founded in social relations of sex, to the predominance of women in the hospital service and unveiling these participation trends in the labor market. The analyzes are based on bibliographic research - theoretical and methodological basis of research - combined with reflections that emerged from the field. The systematized and analyzed information reveal the uniqueness of the current social and economic situation of workers women with ties outsourced, paradoxically expresses on the expansion of the insertion in universe of labor, in overexploitation, in the precariousness of work and living conditions and persistent inequality in and in the social relations and in relations between the sexes

Notas sobre o problema da explicação e da experiência no ensino da Filosofia

Apesar do esforço dos defensores do ensino da Filosofia para que essa disciplina volte a fazer parte do Ensino Médio, observamos, atualmente, seu abandono nos cursos universitários. Notamos que hoje, na sociedade normalizada e no espaço educacional, não é mais valorizado o desenvolvimento integral do pensamento, mas a transmissão de uma série de conteúdos que, supostamente, dão condições para a integração do estudante no quadro do progresso tecnológico e proporcionam sua entrada no mercado de trabalho. Circunscrevendo-se nesse contexto, neste texto pretende-se investigar o espaço em que o ensino da Filosofia se desenvolve na atualidade. Delineando os contornos de um problema que emerge nos espaços institucionais universitários onde o ensino da Filosofia ainda persiste, procurou-se evidenciar em que bases a Filosofia é ensinada. Procurou-se, ainda, compreender quais consequências os modos de compreender o ensino da Filosofia trazem para o aprendizado do filosofar. Uma consideração a que se pode chegar, a partir deste estudo, é a de que o ensino da Filosofia além de não privilegiar, e muitas vezes negar, a experiência de pensamento que o aluno pode fazer e ter com o texto filosófico, contribui para o empobrecimento dessa mesma experiência do e com o filosofar.

Setor informal da economia e a dinâmica dos territórios nas praias da cidade do Natal/RN

La recherche sur secteur non-formel de l économie et la dynamique des territoires dans les plages de la ville de Natal/RN, a le but de la compréhension des espaces de ces territoires ainsi que leurs caractéristiques; le rapport des acteurs sociaux et l existence de politiques dirigées direct ou indirectement vers ce secteur de l économie et ses territoires. Pour celà, on donne emphase au scénario économique moulé par le système de production et reproduction dans la mondialisation, ce qui, parmis d autres actions aq l inetrférence sur le marché du travail, lequel subit constamment des transformations importantes cherchant à suivre les changements en niveau global, en devenant, pour ainsi dire, un marché chaque fois plus exigeant et, conséquemment, sélectif. Moyennant la réalité économique et politique vécue, il augmente le nombre de chômeurs dans le pays suscitant, à tort et à travers, la croissance du secteur non-formel de l économie avec ses inombrables travailleurs qui occupent les plus différents segments parmi lesquels les travaux autonomes, ici représentés par les camelots, les propriétaires de baraques, les propriétaires de kiosques ; etc. Pour atteindre ce but, on a cherché les reférenciels théorico-scientifiques ayant pour base la connaissance empirique à travers les inombrables cas d études matérialisés au moyen de donnés primaires et sécondaires. Finalement, on est sûr de ce que les travailleurs du secteur non-formel complèmentent la chaîne repoductive, ils créent et recréent des territoires avec des contenus variés qui sont indispensables pour la croissance et le développement social

O atletismo nos cursos de graduação em Educação Física

This study has the purpose to investigate the characteristics and the role of the athletics-related sports disciplines in four Physical Education undergraduate courses. In order to reach the goal, it was conducted as a qualitative-type research. Data was collected through documental analysis on disciplines briefings and programs, and also from classes observations and interviews with professors and students from the institutions (two State-boarded and two private) responsible for the courses. Through these analyses it was perceived that those disciplines have surpassed some characteristics of the traditional undergraduate program, which is based on sports. Regarding the role of the disciplines, it was noted that professors consider them as responsible for providing students with basic conditions, so they could benefit from sports as instrumental subjects for their professional intervention.

A atuação profissional dos egressos como importante dimensão no processo de avaliação de programas de pós-graduação

A análise do quadro geral da inserção profissional dos egressos é uma forma inequívoca para avaliação de Programas de Pós-Graduação no que tange à qualidade de sua formação e preparo de profissionais gabaritados para o mercado de trabalho. Este artigo relata a experiência pioneira do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia- UNESP/ Rio Claro (SP) na construção de instrumentos de avaliação a partir da procedência, formação acadêmica e destino profissional dos egressos, nos níveis de Mestrado e Doutorado, no período de 1980-2008. Os resultados foram resumidos em gráficos e mapas e são elementos importantes para mostrar o desenvolvimento e a disseminação da ciência geográfica no Brasil e no exterior. A metodologia utilizada revelou-se extremamente eficaz, podendo ser utilizada por qualquer Programa, com as devidas adaptações, para avaliar tanto sua realidade quando sua extensão.

Percepção do egresso de enfermagem sobre a contribuição do curso para o exercício do cuidado

O estudo avaliou a formação em enfermagem ancorada na problematização e na aprendizagem baseada em problemas a partir da percepção dos egressos. Trata-se de estudo transversal de natureza ex-post-facto. Os resultados foram analisados na triangulação das abordagens quantitativa e qualitativa e na perspectiva hermenêutica dialética. Na abordagem quantitativa 180 egressos responderam um questionário. Na qualitativa, 14 participaram das entrevistas, que buscaram sentidos relacionados ao cuidado ideal, para construção dos indicadores que revelassem a lógica da avaliação. Esses indicadores nortearam a escolha das questões para triangulação. Os resultados apontaram que 85,1% dos egressos estão inseridos no mercado de trabalho, 92,1% cursaram pós-graduação e 99,1% acreditam apresentar formação necessária ao cuidado ético, humanizado e fundamentado. A análise dos dados aponta para formação comprometida com a construção da autonomia e do conhecimento, bem como articulada aos princípios do Sistema Único de Saúde e do mundo do trabalho em enfermagem.

Utilização de auxiliares odontológicos em Ortodontia: implicações éticas e legais

INTRODUÇÃO: o mercado de trabalho tem se mostrado saturado de profissionais atuando nos grandes centros urbanos e, por este motivo, as estratégias de produtividade são imprescindíveis. A delegação de funções aos auxiliares odontológicos tem se tornado vital e corriqueira para aqueles que exercem a Ortodontia. OBJETIVO: conhecer o perfil do cirurgião-dentista especialista nesta área e as funções delegadas por ele à equipe auxiliar. METODOLOGIA: foi aplicado um questionário a todos os especialistas em Ortodontia e Ortopedia Facial inscritos no Conselho Regional de Odontologia de Goiás, com atividade em Goiânia e Aparecida de Goiânia. RESULTADOS E CONCLUSÃO: os resultados demonstraram que os ortodontistas, de um modo geral, aproveitam bem a mão-de-obra auxiliar chegando até a ultrapassar os limites ético-legais.
