Os perfis enformados a frio estão em crescente uso na indústria da construção, utilizados como estruturas secundárias e primárias, por apresentar resistência em relação ao baixo peso, facilidade de utilização em obra e sustentabilidade. A norma europeia EN1993-1-3, também adotada em Portugal, que apresenta as especificações normativas sobre o uso estrutural de perfis enformados a frio é de difícil aplicação para os projetistas devido à quantidade e complexidade de cálculos para que sejam efetuadas as verificações de segurança necessárias, pelas limitações dos programas informáticos e complexidade de compreensão dos fenómenos da instabilidade local e distorcional que condicionam o comportamento deste tipo de secções, classificadas como de classe 4. O presente trabalho procura explicar os procedimentos do eurocódigo e os seus aspetos mais controversos, como, por exemplo, o processo de cálculo da distribuição de tensões numa secção arbitrária constituída por segmentos retos, o cálculo de larguras efetivas e espessuras reduzidas e as verificações de segurança em termos de resistência e estabilidade global requeridos pela norma. O principal objetivo deste trabalho é o desenvolvimento um programa de cálculo para verificar barras com secções de classe 4 que tenha a abrangência das especificações do Eurocódigo (EC3-1-3), que possa auxiliar engenheiros no processo de projeto, dimensionamento e verificação regulamentar de estruturas metálicas que utilizem este tipo de secções. Para isso foi criada uma aplicação informática, em ambiente Windows®, que está ligada ao programa Autodesk® Robot Structural Analisys® para obtenção de dados de cálculo e executar os cálculos de secções efetivas e verificações de segurança de acordo com a norma europeia. São apresentados diagramas de blocos com a sequência do procedimento de cálculo das várias fases de cálculo de secções efetivas e de verificação de barras, com vista a mostrar a lógica de funcionamento interno da aplicação criada no âmbito deste trabalho. Por fim desenvolve-se um manual de utilização da aplicação e um exemplo comparativo, de cálculo das propriedades efetivas de uma secção, entre os resultados do programa e documentos de referência com cálculos manuais

Projects, as an organizing principle, can provide exciting contexts for innovative work. Thus far, project management discourse has tended to privilege the vital need to deliver projects ‘on time, on budget, and to specification’. In common with the call for papers for this workshop we suggest that perhaps the “instrumental rationality” underpinning this language of characterising project activity may create more problems than it solves. In this paper we suggest that such questions (and language) frame project contexts in a partial way. We argue that such concerns stem from a particular worldview or ontology, which we identify as a ‘being’ ontology. Here we contrast being and becoming project ontologies, to explore the questions, methods and interventions that each foregrounds. In an attempt to move this dialogue further than simply another contrast of modern and postmodernist accounts of project organising, we go on to consider some possible ethical concomitants of valuing being and becoming ontologies in project contexts.

En este trabajo presentamos algunos avances de una investigación orientada a comprender cómo inciden las perspectivas de actores en el moldeamiento de políticas y programas de abordaje de la heterogeneidad estudiantil implementados en el tramo inicial de la Facultad de Informática de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, en la que se dicta una carrera de Ingeniería en Computación1. El relevamiento permitió reconocer quiénes tienen papeles protagónicos en la definición y desarrollo de estrategias de atención a la diversidad estudiantil. Nuestro trabajo pretende dar cuenta de las conceptualizaciones que los actores indagados construyen acerca de la heterogeneidad y la diferencia en el marco de la implementación de políticas institucionales. Presentaremos análisis basados en el relevamiento efectuado y en debates del campo educativo. Esbozaremos algunas conclusiones provisorias referidas a las perspectivas de la heterogeneidad y la diferencia prevalecientes entre los informantes clave y el contraste entre éstas y las culturas y tradiciones que orientan el trabajo en las aulas

Judith Tsouvalis mounts a lively and interesting critique of the post-foundational Left’s theorisations through the marshalling of Latourian insights into the possibilities for a more grounded, pragmatic and concrete approach to political action. Tsouvalis takes Latour’s appropriation of John Dewey’s philosophical pragmatism (classically stated in the 1927 [1954] work, The Public and Its Problems) to argue that problems enable Dingpolitik – object or problem-orientated politics – through assembling concrete plural publics around matters of shared concern and contestation. She counter positions this pragmatic politics of concern, through which new communities of understanding are formed, to the abstract and ‘anthropomorphic’ critiques of the ‘post-political condition’ which offer little in the way of a constructive engagement in the collective making of a better world.

The subject Responsibility Enterprise Social (RSE) is relatively recent in the half national academic and the world of the management businesses as practical. For the lack of socialization of experiences and clarity of concepts, shunting lines in the agreement of the subject and the conduction of the interventions occur. It was looked to inquire, in this research, the development of the project of Social Responsibility Enterprise ―School of Computer science and Citizenship‖ of a situated company in the State of Pará, objectifying to evaluate it and later to understand it. For this, one searched to describe the characteristics and structure of the School, to identify to the lines and lines of direction adopted for this Project and to identify to the influence and results of the same in the life of pupils, professors and egresses of the School. It is characterized for a study of case with qualitative boarding of descriptive character, carried through interviews structuralized in a sample of 21 divided members of the School between professors, pupils and egresses. It was used of the analysis of categorical content, having as axle for the interpretation of the data the Social Responsibility, the Digital Inclusion and the Education. The gotten results inform that the infrastructure has challenges to face, point disparities between the conception and practical of the categories characterized in the Politician-Pedagogical Project of the EIC and the influence that, exactly under limits, the life of the professors, pupils reaches and egress. One evidenced that Social action for damages of this company when come back toward this project, they had not been evidenced. For this prism, these actions had only remained in the assistencialist speech and not structural, being thus, the company is not fulfilling its paper of transforming element of the reality of its clientele and the population that lives in it s around

In this paper, five ontologies are described, which include the event concepts. The paper provides an overview and comparison of existing event models. The main criteria for comparison are that there should be possibilities to model events with stretch in the time and location and participation of objects; however, there are other factors that should be taken into account as well. The paper also shows an example of using ontologies in complex event processing.

This work supports the formalist education s improvement of the Brazilian architect and urban designer through a better application and systematization of the computer science s teaching potentialities. The research analyzes the discipline introduction in the Brazilian courses: Computer Science Applied to Architecture and Urbanism (InfoAU) in the Architecture and Urbanism Courses of Brazil (CAUs). It goes since the discipline was obligated by the MEC s Regulation nr. 1.770 from 1994 until the CNE/CES Resolution nr. 6 from 2006; it comprehends the discipline implantation, development and current context, in order to get more detailed, the research analyses three federal universities from the Northeast of the country: UFRN, UFPB and UFPE. Once identified the historical educational needs in the CAUs, the study focus on the computer science s increasing potential as an agent of integration, communication, development and knowledge/data management. It points out new social perspectives for a better use of this tool/mechanism, which adequately structuralized and integrated, creates propitious educational and professional performance/recycling conditions and a propeller instrument of research and extension activities. Among this work, it is suggested the aggregation of elements, which are complementary to the InfoAU discipline s reorganization, throughout a computerization s plan for the CAUs, extensive to the professional formation, generating a virtuous cycle in several activities of the academic, administrative and, research and extension s departments. Therefore, the InfoAU in the Brazilian CAUs context was analyzed; the main solutions and problems found were systemized; the possibilities of computer science s uses inside AU ware structuralized, InfoAU discipline s improvement plan was also defined, as well as strategies for the implementation of the computerization s plan for the CAUs, which would guarantee its maintenance in a continuity perspective

Habla sobre el beneficio que dio la informática en el área perinatal del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso de Cuenca, al facilitar el levantamiento, procesamiento y el análisis inmediato de los datos del área perinatal, pacientes que acuden a terminar su embarazo en el área de obstetricia, período abril de 1989 y marzo de 1990. Cumpliéndose los objetivos de: 1. Levantar los datos perinatales mediante la informática; 2. Procesar de manera diligente los datos levantados; 3. Analizar las variables de estudio relacionadas con la madre y el niño; 4. Establecer la frecuencia de patologías prevalentes en las madres y en los niños; 5. Determinar las características obstétricas de la madre; 6. Señalar las principales características del recién nacido
