The performance analysis based on indicators is an important tool when you want to check the economic and financial situation of a company. From the information provided by the ratios and their analysis, we have a better base for a decision making In this context , this study aims to analyse the financial and economic performance of a service providing company in the cleaning area, in the period between 2011 and 2012 , based on selected financial indicators, and basically calculated from the financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) , beyond effectuated the vertical and horizontal analysis of them. For the methodological procedures it was used a descriptive case of study and combined (quantitative and qualitative). The results revealed that the economic and financial situation of the company is healthy , once the results are considered satisfactory

The study aims to analyze the mechanization of the main coffee growing region in the south of Minas Gerais, in force, especially from the 1970s. But you get new content from the1990s, with the introduction of new information technologies. The use of machines in production processes appear as one of the great transformations of coffee in the period modern after globalization, requiring a labor more specialized, although resulting in unemployment in rural areas. So in the period of globalization new technologies gradually replace manual work. In the coffee farm, the old ways of the production (that handed down from father to son) aren't accepted by the global scientific agriculture (Santos, 2000:88). They are considered inefficient and low quality, but not attendant of patterns the international market. The national companies producing agricultural machines for coffee with emphasis on the company Pinhalense Agricultural Machinery SA believe that the producers of the region are its biggest customers in the country, considering the degree of mechanization more pronounced compared to other coffee growing regions. Analyze the importance of the coffee region with a contribution in the indicators of export and trade surplus in the Brazil and State of Minas Gerais

In the industrial environment the challenge is use better the productive resources: people and machine. The following work has the main goal improve the efficient losses analysis in the stator bar’s production bottleneck equipment situated in the Electric generator’s factory. The action research involved Theory of Constraints on the restriction system identification and developed the data collection framework by losses typology for indicator measurement. The research showed the data collection standardization importance to obtain reliable data and strategic efficiency indicator to optimize equipments. Besides of this, OEE and TEEP indicator demonstrated efficiency results to analyze the actual efficiency when the machine works and the increase capacity opportunity to treat the hide costs in the organization following the continuous improvement

Water is one of the main inputs in agribusiness and is traded indirectly through the sale of agricultural products such as orange (juice or fresh) and cane sugar (ethanol and refined sugar). This study aims to estimate the proportional mass of water present in the products exported in the form of agricultural commodities considering the amount of water incorporated into the product in its genesis by plant photosynthesis, reinforcing a reflection on virtual and real water export, as well to indicate subsidies to management, planning and taxing of water resources

This thesis aims to analyze the applicability of Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC to improve processes focused on agriculture. We discuss the origins of each system separately, Lean Manufacturing, the Toyota plants in Japan, and Six Sigma, by Motorola in the U.S., and then appears to merge them and can meet their complementarities and synergy between their tools. Finally, we describe a case study focused on the harvesting department, applicable to all types of manuals crops, covering the production of fruits, vegetables and greens. This study shows the ability to reduce costs, increase productivity and elimination of defects that the methodology developed with the fusion of Lean Manufacturing with Six Sigma allows

Aquatic ecosystems are suffering many impacts caused by human activities resulting from the activities occurring around them. With technological progress observed in recent years, this environment has received large amounts of chemicals from industries, agriculture and urban area that affect the aquatic biota. Among these sources of contamination, the oil industry has contributed to the pollution of aquatic environments with both effluents as produced water well as oil spills and their derivatives having toxicity to various organisms. With all the environmental issues has increased concern about water quality and has been used ecotoxicological tests with aquatic organisms to ecosystems to assess the toxicity of chemicals present in the water. In this context the microcrustacea Daphnia similis stands out as a freshwater organism very representative of the aquatic fauna of rivers and high sensitivity to environmental impacts. Thus, the present study aimed to evaluate the lethal toxicity of crude oil and produced water on this microcrustacea. The results showed that the microcrustacea presented high sensitivity to contaminants primarily crude oil. There was also the influence of environmental variables pH and temperature on the survival of organisms

A pesquisa teve como objetivo central identificar e analisar as diversas estratégias de permanência e reprodução social dos produtores familiares e os efeitos do Programa Nacional de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (PRONAF) no município de Urânia - SP. Constata-se que as atividades desenvolvidas externamente a unidade produtiva e principalmente a previdência social rural são importantes na composição da renda dos produtores familiares. Mas, as principais estratégias são de base agrícola, visto que as atividades agropecuárias constituem-se na principal fonte de renda dos produtores familiares, destacando-se a opção por culturas que proporcionam alta rentabilidade por hectare cultivado, tais como: as frutíferas (uva, laranja, caju, dentre outras) e olerícolas (berinjela, jiló, milho verde etc.). Nesse sentido, a relevância das atividades agropecuárias, principalmente a fruticultura, em especial a uva que demanda grandes investimentos em tecnologia, despesas em insumos faz com que o PRONAF desempenhe importante papel para o desenvolvimento das atividades agropecuárias através das modalidades de custeio e investimento no conjunto de produtores familiares pesquisados, apesar de suas limitações no que tange a marginalização de produtores menos capitalizados e atuação exclusivamente vinculada à concessão de crédito. Identificamos que a gestão profissionalizada é um importante elemento para o progresso econômico da unidade produtiva, proporcionando condições mais favoráveis à permanência do produtor familiar na atividade agrícola e a sucessão hereditária na agricultura familiar, que perfaz a minoria dos casos em função da resistência dos jovens em permanecer no espaço rural decorrentes da baixa rentabilidade e de outros fatores como a penosidade do trabalho...(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo)

A Agricultura exerce papel fundamental na economia de um país, seja ela para emprego de mão de obra e geração de renda, seja para produção de alimentos destinados para a exportação e consumo interno. No Brasil a Agricultura familiar é responsável por produzir uma parcela importante de alimentos consumidos pela população nacional. Durante a década de 1990, políticas públicas foram sendo implantadas para auxiliar o desenvolvimento rural, tendo como público alvo a agricultura familiar e incidindo sobre entraves para o seu desenvolvimento, como a questão da comercialização dos produtos advindos desse segmento. Em 2003, O Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA), foi instituído pelo artigo 19 da lei federal 10.696, que tinha como objetivo promover a inclusão social e econômica no campo por meio do fortalecimento da agricultura familiar, através da aquisição de alimentos desses produtores. Tais alimentos adquiridos são destinados a ações de alimentação empreendidas por entidades das redes sócioassistenciais, Bancos de Alimentos e para famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade social. O presente trabalho consistiu em um estudo de caso, que teve como objetivo diagnosticar a influência do PAA no município de Rio Claro (SP), quantificando o número de agricultores que participavam do programa no município, e, identificando a diversidade e quantidade de alimentos produzidos destinados ao PAA. Foram também analisados os valores destinados ao programa desde sua implantação. Além disso, foram mapeadas as entidades sócio-assistenciais que receberam os alimentos destinados ao programa. Com base na leis de nº 10.696/2003 e nº 11.326/2006, e os Decretos de nº 6.447/2008 e nº 6.959/2009, que dão providências ao PAA, foram realizadas coletas de dados e informações junto às Secretarias de Ação Social e ao Banco de Alimentos do município de Rio Claro... The purpose of this work is to study the incorporation of hydrogen production (Case A) and the process of gasification of sugarcane bagasse associated with combined cycle gas turbine and steam turbine (Case B) for Distillery Pioneers process. These technologies can be used to improve the energy supply in the sugarcane mill. Initially the processes for obtaining sugar and ethanol from sugarcane is discussed, with a theoretical introduction to hydrogen, the process of steam reforming and gasification of biomass (bagasse) by inserting a turbine associated with the recovery boiler gas. Subsequently makes up the energy and exergy analysis of the incorporation of the above technologies. In end stage makes it an ecological analysis considering or not the carbon cycle (photosynthesis), to determine the levels of emissions of pollutants, carbon dioxide equivalent, indicators of pollution and ecological efficiencies associated with technological developments proposed. It is concluded that hydrogen production by steam reforming of ethanol and gasification of bagasse are viable alternatives from the point of view of technical and environmental applications in the biofuels industry, contributing to the development of the sector in the country

This work is quantified according to the ABEPRO areas, the number of works the Course Conclusion (TCCs) and Hours (CH) Course of Production Engineering, UNESP Guaratinguetá. Based on this quantification were found to be significant discrepancies between the TCCs and CH. Quality and Logistics observed for the larger discrepancies, with 26% and 17% of the number of TCCs, respectively. Both areas have only 6% of the time. They are also used data from researchers at the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) in the areas of Production Engineering. In the area of Quality and Logistics, the researchers account for 8% and 5%, respectively, but are most prominent researchers in the field of Operations Research, with 37%. However, this view can help the department to organize the curriculum, with the development of teaching projects, methods and means of education, and visibility to help future hiring for the department

In industrial plants, there is a department responsible for planning the use of productive resources to find the best possible way to set out plans in strategic, tactical and operational levels. This department is known as PCP or PPCP, which means Planning and Production Control and Planning, Programming and Production Control, respectively. This work presents the use of some of the tools from this department, in particular the Aggregate Production Planning, to propose a new layout of electronic nutrunners for an auto parts industry output line. Through some process indicators analyzes, was identified some productivity losses. The higher loss rate occurred by the electronic nutrunners breaking, and so this work was focused in these devices. Some premises were adopted for the use of electronic nut runners, setting an ideal cycle time for the operation of the production line and making calculations to define the minimum amount of electronic nutrunners to find the production demand without damaging the equipment. With this work we observed that a relevant factor for the constant breaks of electronic nutrunners is because these are working with overload, in other words, the amount of installed equipment is not enough to supply the demand without failures
