Cartography is one of the languages that express the knowledge of the geographic space and, therefore, the official curriculum proposals have highlighted the importance of the geography teaching which articulates its contents with this language in primary education. So, we present an analysis of the content selected to the curriculum mapping specifications of the São Paulo faz escola material, specifically for the 6th year of Elementary School II, version 2009. From the perspective of qualitative research, with instruments and techniques of quantitative and qualitative research, we analyzed documents and observed little concern with the proposition works that present the physical and social characteristics of the state of São Paulo. Also, we noticed the lack of concern with representations in local and regional scales. The research brings many examples on the global scale. It explores few activities using graphics and charts. Despite bringing thematic maps in their entirety, it does not show an example of conical projection as well as cartograms and anamorphosis. The use of the Global Positioning System technology has brought a real revolution in the surveying and georeferencing techniques, which are the basis for many others relevant studies to the many fields of Geography. In this sense, it was seen a massive growth of the use of GNSS receivers in Brazil from the early 2000s, due the duty of Georreferencing Rural Properties to comply with the 10.267/2001 law. For Georreferencing, it is needed high accuracy receivers, and most of time, it is used two receivers: one static base and one rover. To do the adjustment of the base (in order to correct errors), two ways are utilized: post-processing via the brazilian GNSS network - Rede Brasileira de Monitoramento Contínuo dos Sistemas GNSS (RBMC) or via Precise Point Positioning - Posicionamento por Ponto Preciso, both managed by IBGE. Given the wide range of applications as well as discussions on the accuracy of both methods, this monograph aims to conduct a comparative analysis and prove the effectiveness of both methods considering the INCRA’s Standard for Rural Properties Georreferencing. From the processing of GNSS data collected in Piracicaba, Ituverava, Iperó and São Pedro, it could be seen that the research reached the objectives and shows that both methods are accurate and feasible

O estudo das analises microclimáticas foi desenvolvido no Laboratório de Biodiversidade e Restauração de Ecossistemas da Universidade Estadual de Londrina, Paraná, e foramselecionados cinco talhões de reflorestamento de diferentes idades ao longo do Reservatório de Capivara, Paraná. Em cada talhãoforam registrados dados de temperatura, umidade do ar e cobertura de dossel,nos meses de março e agosto, período de chuva (verão) e de seca (inverno), respectivamente.Os dados foram comparados em busca de uma relação entre cobertura de dossel e microclima nos talhões de diferentes idades e nas diferentes estações. As amostragens demonstram que há uma diferença significativa entre as estações considerando as variáveis estudadas e que as variações estruturais do reflorestamento e a arquitetura das diferentes espécies que a compõem resultam em variações na cobertura do dossel, que por sua vez implicam em variações microclimáticas importantes para o processo de regeneração

This research aims to show how children can learn the meaning of forgiveness in order to build their autonomy and moral . Research is essential to support teachers to work morale within the classroom with their students , so that conflicts a re minimized or even eliminated . Through Piagetian clinical method was observed and interviewed students from the first year of elementary school , trying to identify those who can take a perspective other than you r own . All this in order to inve stigate the possibility of these becoming autonomous and can measure th e consequences of their actions . To develop the moral and intellectual autonomy of the students , Piaget (1994 ) shows the importance of children to act properly by choice , not by pres sure punishments or rewards , and that they have the correct answers , not because someone showed you , but because found . Through research , we found that students are able to forgive, but often requiring that the colleague is also punished in some way. Fo r in fact the children act autonomously it is necessary that the school provides situations where they can experience the cooperation , reciprocity, mutual respect , and thus gradually build their autonomy

The freshwater phytoplankton, responsible for a significant part of primary production in rivers and lakes, is of great importance for matter and energy available to other trophic levels of structuring aquatic food chains. In recent decades, the construction of dams, especially for the generation of electricity, produced changes not only in physical and chemical characteristics of rivers, but also in biocoenosis of these ecosystems. Thus, research is needed to expand the basic knowledge about these environments and subsidize actions appropriate conservation and management. Considering that lotic environments are relatively little studied, and the river-reservoir interaction, the work aims to analyze the limnological conditions and assemblies phytoplankton along the gradient established by the Itaipu reservoir and downstream stretch of the Paraná River. During two periods of the year, winter and summer, we analyzed nine sampling stations: one in lentic environment (the dam), six on the Parana River (each 5 km), at the mouth of a river Monday and another at the mouth of the Iguazu river. The phytoplankton community was composed of 315 taxa, with the class Bacillariophyceae most specious. At every point the richness was higher in summer and with a longitudinal trend in the increasing points after falling after the dam and the contribution of the tributaries. The number of taxa common to the three rivers was low in both study periods. The higher taxa can be explained by the variety of environments sampled, different residence times of water and nutrient concentrations, whereas the rivers Iguazu and Monday suffer high human influence. The greater abundance of organisms in the dam, in both periods, it should be the class Cryptophyceae contributing over 75% of total phytoplankton in point. Researches show high rates of school failure on the part of students who are unable to learn, referring to them as the idea of an incapable individual and intended not to achieve the goals proposed during the school year. Among the most varied problems posed by teachers and that are instilled in students in order to justify the poor performance of the same, we find Disorder Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Faced with this problem the objective was to investigate teachers‟ conception of the second year of primary education on ADHD, knowing well the mechanisms of identification, confirmation and referral of these cases, as well as the appropriate treatment and teaching practices suggested. To achieve the proposed objective a literature search was performed supplemented by an empirical study in which we used two instruments to collect data: interviews and observation. The study included empirical two teachers from a state school and two teachers from a private school, all of a midsize city in São Paulo. The interviews showed that teachers of second grade of elementary school consider ADHD a neurological problem in order to be addressed, however, chose not to speak about the treatment carried out by drugs. The observations revealed that the discourse of these teachers are away from their practices, it is worth noting that the differences in these two situations studied - state and private network - are so disparate and interfere in this important teaching practice

Several aspects interfere when it comes to choose a career. Some of which are family and cultural influence; and even lack of opportunities. Such aspects were greatly taken into consideration for defining the subject of this research which is to analyze the reasoning Pedagogy students from UNESP (Universidade Estadual Paulista – University of São Paulo State) used when choosing their academic career, and to assess the students’ profile who were taking this course in 2011 as well as the influence of students’ socioeconomic conditions. An empiric approach with a qualitative survey was chosen to develop this research which was conducted with a questionnaire appliance and with a semi-structured interview with randomly selected students. A theoretical study about the specifics of the academic career and a fully comprehension of the legal / regulatory aspects of this profession in Brazil were also conducted. The survey results showed that most students were women, supporting the fact that this career has become a female profession. Characteristics such as vocation and mission, presented on literatures as the specifics of this profession were clearly seen in the survey results. Several students went to public schools and are labeled into the classes C and D in social economical status; furthermore almost 50% had not chosen Pedagogy as a first choice for a major. However, most of the students do not think that their social economical status had influence in their choice. Nevertheless some students claimed that their options were not their first wish and their choice was made by the easier possibility of entering and concluding the course besides the prompt need of these professionals after graduating in the job market. Este trabalho tem como objetivo levantar o número de casos encaminhados ao Conselho Tutelar de Rio Claro no ano de 2007, caracterizar os motivos e as queixas que originaram esses encaminhamentos, verificar as orientações dadas pelos Conselheiros e mapear os bairros da cidade que foram atendidos pelo Conselho. O trabalho está baseado em pesquisa bibliográfica, análise das planilhas que são preenchidas mensalmente e dados coletados em entrevistas realizadas com duas Conselheiras Tutelares. Foi constatado que o Conselho Tutelar de Rio Claro registrou, naquele ano, 227 casos, sendo 441 novos, 597 retornos e 189 acompanhamentos de casos. As queixas registradas são as mais diversas, indo de violência sexual até requisição de certidão de nascimento. Predominam queixas de evasão escolar e reiteração de faltas, seguida pelas de maus tratos e comportamental. Com relação às medidas aplicadas pelos Conselheiros à criança ou adolescente, predomina aquela relativa à matrícula e freqüência obrigatória em estabelecimento oficial de ensino fundamental. Já no que diz respeito às medidas aplicadas aos pais ou responsáveis, a medida de maior registro foi a de orientação, seguida pela de obrigação em matricular filho e acompanhar sua freqüência e aproveitamento. Verificou-se também que não somente os bairros periféricos da cidade são atendidos pelo Conselho Tutelar, mas também bairros considerados de classe média e alta.

The knowledge of the dynamics of soil seed bank and seed rain is fundamental to understand the forest succession process, as well as for its conservation and restoration. This paper aimed at studying the role of the soil seed bank and seed rain in the dynamics of a riparian tropical seasonal forest fragment located on the hinterland of São Paulo State. The seed rain was studied by 30 litter traps installed at 50 cm from the floor, with an area of 50 cm x 50 cm. Between November of 2008 and October of 2009, 11364 seeds of 82 species belonging to 33 different families were collected. The deposition density of seeds was 126.27 individuals.m². With the data obtained from this research, the two seasons couldn’t be differed from each other hence 2009 was an atypical year considering the precipitation, which was constantly elevated. For the soil seed bank, fifty superficial soil samples will be taken at the end of both the rainy and dry seasons. The germination method was applied for the data analysis. It was observed a predominance of herbaceous habit species, with an average of 71% of the germinations in both seasons. The Sφrensen similarity index between the seasons was low (0,27). The density and species diversity were higher after the rainy season, unlike other published researches

As a result of the 20th-century industrial development, and particularly after World War II, cars have become an important consumer good, and this has led to a large number of circulating vehicles. To this day, the number of cars has increased exponentially worldwide, which results in a high number of traffic accidents (TAs) every day. TAs are responsible for 1.2 million deaths worldwide each year, and in Brazil, they are considered to be a public health problem, considering that its traffic is regarded as one of the worst and most dangerous in the world. In addition to temporary or permanent physical disabilities that bring great harm to individuals, accidents also cause psychological disorders, such as the post-traumatic stress disorder. Hence, considering the importance of TAs in the country and their outcomes, this study aimed at investigating the epidemiological aspects of car accidents occurring in 2010 who were assisted in the emergency room of a university hospital in São Paulo state. By means of records made by the nursing team and medical records analysis, it was possible to extract a stratified sample of 88 cases involving adults and eight cases involving children. The sample was analyzed by the SAS software for Windows, version 9.2. As regards the accidents involving adults, there was a predominance of males (67%), with an approximate 2:1 ratio in relation to females. The victims’ most frequent age range was 20-29 years (39%), and they were mostly single (56%). The month showing the largest number of occurrences was July, with 17%, and the weekday was Sunday, with 25%. Showing 32%, the time period when most accidents occurred was from 06:00 o’clock p.m. to 11:59 p.m. As regards vehicles types involved, motorcycles were in first place, with 47% of cases, and the most common accident type was crashing between vehicles, with 43%... Esta pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa busca informações em diferentes tipos de materiais que não receberam, ainda, nenhum trato científico (OLIVEIRA, 2007), como é o caso específico dos ditados dos alunos. Originou-se no Projeto Bolsa Escola Pública e Universidade na Alfabetização, criado pela Secretária da Educação do Estado de São Paulo, do qual participei como aluna-pesquisadora no ano de 2009. O objetivo principal foi o de averiguar se houve evolução da escrita, em ditados de 23 crianças de um segundo ano do ensino fundamental e, quando houve, se ela foi diferente entre os grupos de palavras constituídas de sílabas simples e complexas. Os ditados analisados constituíam-se de palavras e, em algumas ocasiões, também de frases e foram aplicados pela professora da sala em cinco períodos diferentes do ano letivo: março, abril e junho – primeiro semestre; setembro e novembro – segundo semestre. Os alunos apresentaram diferentes níveis de construção de aprendizagem da escrita entre si e, para caracterizá-los, durante a sua evolução, utilizei os níveis de evolução da escrita de Ferreiro e Teberosky (1999). A pesquisa apresenta relevância, não só ao questionar o uso, ainda hoje, do ditado em sala de aula, como uma prática para avaliar a evolução da escrita da criança, no início do processo de alfabetização, ou como uma prática mecânica, utilizada pelos educadores por ser um tanto cômodo, mas também, ao estabelecer, pelo trabalho do aluno-pesquisador, a relação entre a teoria e a prática, resultando em uma visão mais abrangente da sala de aula, do cotidiano escolar e do processo de alfabetização. Overall, in Brazilian schools, the concept of reading does not take into account its possibilities and its meaning for life. But read is assigning meaning to something , make sense, interact with the text read. Thus, the present study addresses the mechanical reading, that without contextualization, performed on a technique by joining letters and syllables loose and also reading social use, consisting of statements, dialogism , polyphony and heteroglossy. It is known that the mechanical reading brings undesirable consequences, including learning problems, such as lack of attention, concentration, memory, imagination. When the reading is taught in a systematic way, with only the goal of the code decoding of written language, destroys social perspectives and intellectual development. It is common, when you offer the children a book, there the difficult disinterest of textual interpretation, because there is no attribute meaning to the content, and even the ability to interact with the text. With the interest in studying the dialogic reading this and the statements and genres, the present study was based on several authors: Bakhtin (1988, 2000), Schneuwly and Dolz (2000), Faraco (2009) and Ponzio (2009) Jolibert (1994), Bajard (2002; 2007) Foucambert (1997) Martins ( 1985) and Smith ( 1999). Aim for this study the following research question: what are the contributions of Mikhail Bakhtin's theory to the teaching of reading from kindergarten through the first grade of elementary school? Our hypothesis is that if they are guaranteed to pre -school and elementary school beginners diversified materials and new approaches in teaching reading and encouragement to her, will be developed in children a taste for the act of reading, so that they can assign meaning and significance, making reading part of their lives...

As formigas da tribo Attini são especializadas na produção de fungos com os quais possuem uma relação de mutualismo, e para tanto, possuem várias estratégias de forrageamento de substrato de acordo com o gênero. Sabe-se que a atividade de forrageio é um comportamento social que varia sob influência de diversos fatores ambientais, tais como a estação do ano, temperatura, umidade relativa, estágio de desenvolvimento do ninho e período de reprodução. Neste contexto, ainda se conhece muito pouco sobre as técnicas utilizadas pelas formigas do gênero Trachymyrmex para busca de alimento. Por esta razão, o objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a atividade de forrageio e coleta de substrato por colônias de Trachymyrmex tucumanus em áreas antropizadas, verificando o período do ano e do dia em que a atividade ocorre com maior intensidade, e quais as categorias de alimentos coletados por esse grupo de formigas. Durante o estudo, que transcorreu de dezembro de 2009 à setembro de 2010, foram acompanhados 10 ninhos, quatro por estação, sendo que alguns se repetiram em diferentes estações. No total foram feitos quatro dias de observações, um a cada três meses. Foi feita a contagem de operárias que entram no ninho a cada 2h por 20 minutos consecutivos com auxílio de um contador. Ao longo das observações foi possível identificar um padrão de atividade que se intensifica no final da tarde, quando a temperatura do solo é mais amena e a umidade do ar aumenta. Quando comparada a atividade de busca das operárias ao decorrer do ano constatou-se uma queda na atividade conforme se aproxima o período de seca. A maior atividade de forrageio se deu durante a primavera e o verão, que são estações mais chuvosas. Através da observação do material coletado pelas operárias foi possível identificar materiais vegetais, tais como, folhas secas, sementes, casca de frutas e algumas folhas verdes de gramíneas

In 2002, the Ministry of Education (MEC) published the Curriculum Guidelines for Engineering courses in the country. The Guidelines contain subjects like the profile of graduates, the course structure, curriculum, internships and skills and abilities, all geared to guide the training of engineers in Brazil. The objective of this study is to evaluate together with teachers of the Production Department of this University and students of the fifth year of Production Engineering is how student learning of Production Engineering for the development and importance of skills within the course and skills for engineers who are present in the Curriculum Guidelines for engineering courses developed by MEC

The topic in this work involving the resolution of problems with structure multiplicativa emerged from discussions carried out on the difficulties encountered by students of the first cycle of the Fundamental School in Mathematics, mainly in respect of the arithmetic. The research had as objective to investigate the main difficulties presented by these students when they are faced with a task for a resolution of problems with multiplicativa structure. Were participants, in the first stage of the study, 20 students of the fifth year of the Fundamental School of a state school of public education of the State of Sao Paulo. These students have an assessment containing ten problems with structure multiplicativa answered a questionnaire regarding of mathematics. In the second stage, were selected two students to participate in the think aloud. The data analysis showed that the difficulties presented by the participants were: 1- difficulty to read and interpret the set of problems; 2- select the operation correct; 3- to operate correctly; 4 – Trouble writing
