O setor sucroalcooleiro no Pontal do Paranapanema: uma análise a partir do licenciamento ambiental

The development of the sugar and alcohol sector and its sugar cane cultivation has been given in an accelerated way in Pontal do Paranapanema, mainly from the last decade, and with this has taken quick changes in the dynamic socio-economic and environmental of the region, further accentuating some conflicts and dilemmas social and environmental legacy. This work was done in order that these issues are further explored, that of moving towards a greater theoretical-scientific maturity, and even has a better apparatus to support measures (corrective or preventive) that show required anti such conflicts. For this purpose, we used the environmental licensing as a means of doing this analysis, since it is one of the main instruments of control/ regulation of the State against the development of activities of the sugar and alcohol sector. We also used a little of the vast potential of information that is contained in the environmental agencies. In this case, we used six Environmental Impact Study / Environmental Impact Report (EIS /EIR), six Preliminary Environmental Reports(PER), five Characterization of Enterprise Memorials (CEM), among other documents /studies present there. Some of the information, organized and made available in this work, has even greater potential to be exploited. It was also made an essential literature survey and of the laws related to licensing and alcohol and sugar sector

Cultura em excesso?: uma investigação dos dispêndios com cultura nos municípios fluminenses

A monografia apresenta um breve panorama dos aspectos econômicos do Estado do Rio de Janeiro com o intuito de destacar o papel da indústria do petróleo na economia do mesmo, assim como as rendas provenientes dos pagamentos de royalties e participações especiais aos municípios produtores. O fato é que enormes recursos são entregues a esses municípios, o que torna extremamente importante a investigação da qualidade da alocação destes. Ambiciona-se por meio deste trabalho a análise das despesas culturais dos municípios fluminenses com o propósito de identificar se as cidades que mais recebem royalties gastam relativamente mais nesta área comparado a outras. Este exame é relevante, principalmente pela dificuldade de definição do conceito de cultura e por as contas culturais municipais não serem auditadas pelos Tribunais de Contas, o que favoreceria um possível canal de desvio de verbas públicas

Desenvolvimento de um plataforma analítica para análise qualitativa e quantitativa de peptídeos de cérebros de abelhas Apis mellifera

As abelhas da espécie Apis mellifera são conhecidas por sua organização social, comportamento devotado e aparente complexidade comportamental, sendo também consideradas excelentes sistemas-modelo para estudos de comunicação, aprendizado e formação de memória. Uma vez que o comportamento social dos insetos é resultante de interações complexas em diferentes níveis de organização biológica, torna-se importante estudar os peptídeos envolvidos nesse processo, já que estes são indispensáveis em muitos processos fisiológicos, funcionando como neurotransmissores, hormônios, toxinas, antibióticos, defensinas, neuromoduladores e neurohormônios. Desta forma, o objetivo do presente trabalho foi padronizar uma metodologia analítica visando à determinação do perfil peptídico do cérebro de abelhas da espécie Apis mellifera utilizando como ferramentas a espectrometria de massas e a cromatografia líquida. Foram coletadas operárias de Apis mellifera com 20 dias de idade, cujos cérebros foram dissecados e devidamente processados visando a posterior separação e identificação dos peptídeos. Foram testadas duas estratégias distintas para a separação e identificação dos peptídeos, denominadas on-line e off-line. Ambas baseavam-se na utilização de um sistema de cromatografia líquida sob fase reversa e um espectrômetro de massas do tipo electrospray/Ion Trap-Time of Flight, mas na primeira essas ferramentas estavam acopladas, enquanto na segunda os dois processos foram realizados separadamente. Tais procedimentos permitiram identificar 19 peptídeos pertencentes às principais famílias de neuropeptídeos de cérebros de abelhas já descritos na literatura, entre elas as Alatostatina, Apidaecina, Corazonina e Taquicininas. Imagem e comportamento do vampiro contemporâneo: uma análise semiótica

O presente trabalho propõe discutir as produções literárias contemporâneas sobre a temática do vampirismo. Este estudo se fundamenta em análises de textos por meio da observação das práticas discursivas que os constituem. Tomando como corpus os romances Crepúsculo e Lua Nova de Stephenie Meyer, as observações partem dos pressupostos teóricos da Semiótica Discursiva e da Análise do Discurso, aos quais são incorporados estudos sobre cultura, sociologia e identidade. Parte-se do princípio de que o discurso é produto da cultura e, desse modo, incorporam-se a ele fatores históricos e sociais. Por essa razão, torna-se importante examinar os elementos dialógicos e intertextuais dos textos anteriormente apontados em relação às outras produções que tratam do mesmo tema e de outros possíveis, encontrados no corpus. This work consisted in analysing five materials which mean respect to subjects related to Particle Physics, aiming to explore their potentialities for the use in the High School levels, particularly by physics teachers. On this perspective, we sought to describe the contents of each material and point out their potentialities as material of didactic support. They are: 1. The purpose of Secretaria da Educação do Estado de São Paulo, presented in the Teacher's Guide of the Program São Paulo faz escola; 2. The Game Sprace Game, elaborated by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN); 3. The book O discreto charme das partículas elementares, written by the professor Maria Cristina Abdalla; 4. The video O discreto charme das partículas elementares, based on the book of Professor Maria Cristina Abdalla which was produced by TV Cultura in association with the Ministério da Educação e Cultura” (MEC). The book Partículas elementares no ensino médio: uma abordagem a partir do LHC written by Wagner Franklin Balthazar and Alexandre Lopes de Oliveira, from the collection CBPF - Tópicos de Física. The work was constructed on a qualitative perspective, that is, it did not attempt to quantify the help that each material could offer to Physics teaching. One sought to describe and analyse, from different theoretical frames, their potentialities for the use in the High School level. The results indicate that all the materials analysed can contribute to the Physics teaching, and beyond, as they own format and approches distinct from the subject, they can be used as a whole or in parts, together or separately, depending on the objectives to be reached and on the profile of the target public

This study examined the practices of crowdfunding, collective vehicle of fundraising for the production of works of culture, education, social programs etc over the internet. Through the analysis of registered projects and finalized in Brazilian site funding col-laborative Catarse, we were able to list interesting points to be considered to deter-mine what lead people to cooperate or not with this kind of practice. It was noticed that the internet materialized in front of individuals as an important vehicle for social participation, enabling the concern to collaborate on projects, people and causes that have common characteristics or interests bring benefits to society

Análise de marcadores culturais no par de obras Relato de um certo oriente e The tree of the seventh heaven

This paper presents some results of a study on culturally marked terms in a corpus composed by the Brazilian novel Relato de um certo oriente (1989), by Milton Hatoum, and its translation into English The tree of the seventh heaven, by Ellen Watson. For the analysis of culturally marked terms, we followed the interdisciplinary approach proposed by Camargo (2005, 2007) involving corpus-based translation studies (BAKER, 1993, 1995, 1996, 2000), and the investigations of cultural domains (NIDA, 1945; AUBERT, 1981, 2006). The methodology adopted in the present research required the software WordSmith Tools (SCOTT, 2007), which provides the necessary resources for the collection of data in a corpus of translated texts. The software tool called WordList was used for the selection of the most frequent words in the texts and also for the identification of the culturally marked terms. For the analysis of the culturally marked terms in both texts we used the software tool Concord. The results revealed that most of the culturally marked terms are inserted in the ecological domain, and the other terms are distributed in the domains of material, social and ideological culture, which reflects the theme of the book.

Poética e Figuratividade: uma análise de Io (Ovídio, Metamorfoses, I, 583-747)

This paper presents the development of a scientific investigation that addresses the Latin text using theoretical concepts of Linguistic, Literary Poetic and Semiotic in order to focus mainly on aspects of the figurative expression. Therefore, the meaning effects raised by the perception through the reading of text were taken as baseline data to investigate the particular arrangement of language, responsible for expression of these effects. As a result of this investigation, a metalinguistic discourse was produced about the basic features of the poetic figurativity of the text. This analysis and description had a focus mainly on the first step of the procedures of figurativization, i.e., the figuration of the discourse, when a theme is coated by semiotic figures. In addition, reference notes were drafted to accompany the selected translation of support, with general comments about the culture (mythology, history, geography, philosophy, etc.), necessary data to an more comprehensive understanding of the text (these notes shall provide basic subsidies for reading the original Latin)
