A significação da experiência de uso em um Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem: estudo de caso sobre a plataforma Moodle no CEDERJ

Essa pesquisa é um estudo de caso sobre a interação do aluno com a interface da plataforma Moodle. Para tal, foram utilizadas técnicas consolidadas de avaliação da usabilidade de interfaces digitais. Assim, com respaldo na Semiótica do americano Charles Sanders Peirce, verificou-se e discutiu-se questões subjetivas dos processos comunicativos envolvidos nos problemas interacionais identificados. Uma vez analisado o impacto desses problemas, desenhou-se um quadro geral, denominado experiência do usuário, no qual as interfaces avaliadas são arenas das frustrações e ações que esta proposta de inspeção foi capaz de descrever. A partir desse quadro, foram fundadas as bases para compreensão do modelo mental do usuário para propor soluções. Essas soluções são baseadas, principalmente, em prescrições de usabilidade de Jakob Nielsen, Donald Norman e Steve Krug Nesse cenário, é demonstrado como o design contribui para a elaboração de uma interface que convida à ação e reflexão, de forma a proporcionar um ambiente de interação satisfatório e consonante com as novas tendências educacionais e da cibercultura. Deste modo, também demonstra-se de que forma a Semiótica pode instrumentalizar o profissional de design a resolver situações de projeto. Por meio da documentação de metodologias e resultados, esta pesquisa apoia a boa comunicação entre projetistas, ressalta a importância da subjetividade no estudo interacional, além de propor soluções para os problemas encontrados. Em virtude dos fatos supracitados, essa pesquisa tem como produto final um acervo de informações relevantes para o histórico de projetos em design. Contemplados os requisitos de usabilidade propostos por essa pesquisa, espera-se que, no futuro, tais requisitos sejam validados, para que o impacto produzido pelas mudanças implementadas possam ser avaliados. Assim, poderá ser verificado como essas mudanças impactarão no processo comunicativo da nova proposta interacional e se elas se converteram realmente em satisfação na experiência do usuário. Com isso, pretende-se que o foco da interface passe a ser a associação da satisfação do uso ao processo de aprendizagem.

Fish communities in rivers to be affected by Roadford Reservoir

This is the Fish communities in rivers to be affected by Roadford Reservoir report produced by South West Water Authority in 1978. Surveys were carried, out on the Rivers Wolf, Thrushel, Lew and Lumburn, which are likely to be affected directly and indirectly by the construction and use of Roadford Reservoir. Of the upper reaches of three rivers to be affected directly by water releases, two were found to support abundant stocks of salmon and trout, and the third was found to contain abundant stocks of trout and eels. The River Thrushel will be affected indirectly and in this river salmon and trout stocks were present in slightly lower abundance than in others. Population estimates, densities, mean lengths and approximate biomass values were calculated. Other species were present in all rivers, usually in great abundance.

Climate change and fisheries: perspectives from small-scale fishing communities in India on measures to protect life and livelihood

Through consultations with key fisheries-based stakeholders in four States of India, this study attempts to assess perceptions of fishing communities about the impact of climate change on their lives and livelihoods. It also evaluates the traditional knowledge, institutions and practices of fishing communities that are relevant to climate-change preparedness. The study identifies adaptation and mitigation measures that may need to be adopted by fishing communities and the State in relation to climate change. Based on this overall analysis, the study proposes measures to protect the lives and livelihoods of small-scale fishing communities in the context of climate-change policies and programmes at different levels. This study will be useful for researchers, policymakers, students and anyone interested in climate change and its potential effects on the lives and livelihoods of small-scale fishing communities.

Tempo e Espírito: ensaio sobre o paradigma virtual em psicologia

Tentamos responder a uma única questão, que se coloca duplamente, problema a nosso ver central para a Psicologia: qual o estatuto ontológico do pensamento? Assim, igualmente: qual o estatuto ontológico do psiquismo? Se a subjetividade ou o espírito, seja como psiquismo (afetos, devires, alma) ou pensamento (ideias, representações, mente) é algo, e sabemos não se confundir com o corpo presente ou o cérebro (imagens atuais), o que é ela então? Construindo um recorte perceptivo onde possa emergir a intuição que nos permita responder a essa colocação de problema, buscamos na primeira dissertação da tese, tendo por eixo uma análise de fato, desenhar a gênese da subjetivação coletiva em nosso presente. O psiquismo no capitalismo globalizado deslizaria rumo à esquizofrenização, que nada mais é que o crescente despertar intuitivo da subjetividade em virtude de um aumento de potência dos coletivos humanos (virtualização) que tende a uma mudança de forma, a encarnação de uma nova visão de si e do mundo: a superação da transcendência (divisão entre os modos de ser ou indivíduos por representações fixas, simétrica à sensação de separação entre o indivíduo e seu meio), ou seja, um mergulho na imanência ou reconexão com o Todo coletivo e comum, Virtual. Na segunda dissertação, avançaremos a problematização em direção a uma análise de direito, partindo da ontologia spinozista (ser da Natureza) e da metafísica bergsoniana (colocar os problemas em termos temporais, processuais, e não espaciais, fixos), ao interrogar-se sobre a natureza desse comum, o Virtual ou atributo Pensamento, no qual o atributo Extensão ou Atual seria apenas um recorte para uma consciência qualquer dessa duração indivisível comum (seleção que constitui seu interesse ou resolução do problema da vida). Nesta relação que constrói ao mesmo tempo a subjetividade (visão de mundo, Espírito) e a objetividade (Mundo ou a visão de uma subjetividade), demonstra-se que o que tomamos como matéria é apenas uma abstração de forma espacial-geométrica, quantitativa, desse fluxo vital que, no Tempo (Acontecimento, Ato Puro, Verbo), é um todo, um bloco de forma temporal-afetiva, qualitativa. Assim, nossa tese ou hipótese: (1) toda psicologia é de direito (gênese, virtualidade) e de fato (prática, atualidade) uma psicologia social, seu tecido comum é o Pensamento, construído concretamente e permanentemente em redes vivas de comunicação diferencial, criativas, pois tendem por sua própria natureza temporal ao aumento de potência (alegria) segundo sua duração singular imanente − interdito à Moral como forma transcendente, que pela sua assimetria é sempre um problema mal colocado; e (2) que a visão do Virtual não apenas evidencia um novo ponto de vista da psicologia, mas coloca em questão o paradigma científico-político-noético hegemônico, voltado para o presente e o corpo, a vida como signo ou representação (análise e julgamentos, crítica), para dar visibilidade a um saber do sentido da vida, voltado para o Espírito, a imanência presente do passado (Memória) e do futuro (Criação); um saber que não nega ou negligencia o corpo, mas, ao contrário, o eleva à enésima potência de vida como pensamento e ação, reconectando todo corpo individual e presente ao corpo comum coletivo e histórico do qual jamais pode ser separado

Reserved parking : marine reserves and small-scale fishing communities: a collection of articles from SAMUDRA report

As the earth’s resources continue to face increasing pressure from a variety of human and natural causes, protection of the environment and biodiversity is a matter of contemporary concern, The conservation of coastal and marine resources, in particular, has become a priority for countries around the world. In this context, marine protected areas (MPAs) are being widely promoted as one of the most effective tools for the conservation of coastal and marine resources. Most MPAs are located in coastal areas of great biodiversity, and hence their development has direct impacts on the lives and livelihoods of coastal communities, especially small-scale and traditional fishing communities. Typically, they are the ones who have to bear the costs of conservation practices–lost livelihood options, expulsion from traditional fishing grounds and living spaces, and violation of human/community rights, to name a few. The articles in this dossier, drawn chronologically from the pages of Samudra Report, the triannual publication of ICSF, draw attention to these issues. They show that conservation and livelihoods are closely intertwined, and that top-down, non-participatory models of conservation can be counter-productive. Despite being poor and powerless, fishing and coastal communities can be powerful allies in conservation efforts, given their longstanding dependence on natural resources and their traditional ecological knowledge systems. As the examples in this dossier reveal, it is possible for fishing communities to protect and conserve the environment, while continuing with sustainable fishing operations. Clearly, only an integrated approach to fisheries management and conservation will prove successful.
