Este texto define e enquadra teoricamente as principais finalidades e orientações metodológicas do programa de formação dos mentores que acompanharam os professores em período probatório. O referencial de formação dos mentores construiu-se em torno das diferentes dimensões do ato de ensinar. A metodologia de formação organizou-se a partir do conceito de desenvolvimento profissional, considerando o mentor como objeto e sujeito da formação e procurando articular o processo formativo e o trabalho de supervisão desenvolvido pelos mentores, no terreno. As sessões de formação foram planeadas estrategicamente a partir de questões orientadoras às quais se procurou dar resposta através de um conjunto de atividades e materiais. Durante a implementação do período probatório foi produzido pelos intervenientes um conjunto considerável de documentos que foram trabalhados durante a formação. - Abstract This article defines and frames theoretically the main purposes and the methodological guidelines of the training program of mentors who have accompanied teachers on the probationary period. Those guidelines were constructed around the different dimensions of the act of teaching. The training methodology was organized from the concept of professional development, considering the mentor as object and subject of training and seeking to articulate the formative process and supervision work developed by mentors on the field. Training sessions have been strategically planned from guiding questions which sought to respond through a range of activities and materials. During the implementation of the probationary period, the participants delivered a considerable set of documents, which were worked on during training.- Resumen Este texto define y enfoca teóricamente las principales finalidades y orientaciones metodológicas del programa de formación de los mentores que acompañaron a los profesores en el periodo probatorio. La metodología formativa se organizó a partir del concepto de desarrollo profesional, considerando al mentor como objeto y sujeto de la formación y buscando articular el proceso formativo y el trabajo de supervisión desarrollado por los mentores, en el terreno. Las sesiones de formación se proyectaron estratégicamente a partir de planteos orientadores, a los cuales se les dio respuesta a través de un conjunto de actividades y materiales. Durante la implementación del periodo probatorio, los participantes produjeron un considerable conjunto de documentos que se elaboraron durante la formación.

Electrical activity is extremely broad and distinct, requiring by one hand, a deep knowledge on rules, regulations, materials, equipments, technical solutions and technologies and assistance in several areas, as electrical equipment, telecommunications, security and efficiency and rational use of energy, on the other hand, also requires other skills, depending on the specific projects to be implemented, being this knowledge a characteristic that belongs to the professionals with relevant experience, in terms of complexity and specific projects that were made.

The Bologna Process aimed to build a European Higher Education Area promoting student's mobility. The adoption of Bologna Declaration directives requires a self management distributed approach to deal with student's mobility, allowing frequent updates in institutions rules or legislation. This paper suggests a computational system architecture, which follows a social network design. A set of structured annotations is proposed in order to organize the user's information. For instance, when the user is a student its annotations are organized into an academic record. The academic record data is used to discover interests, namely mobility interests, among students that belongs the academic network. These ideas have been applied into a demonstrator that includes a mobility simulator to compare and show the student's academic evolution.

The Bologna Process aimed to build a European Higher Education Area with the objective of promoting students mobility. The adoption of Bologna Declaration directives requires a decentralized approach that accelerates student's mobility, based on frequently updated legislation. This paper proposes a student personal system to manage student's academic information. This system is supported by a flexible model that integrates, for instance, knowledge about the student attended courses or about a course that the student wishes to apply. Essentially, this model holds a (i) Student's Academic Record with skills acquired in academic course units, professional experience or training and an (ii) Individual Studies Plan, which places the student in a particular (iii) Course Plan setting the curricular structure that the student wishes to apply.

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to promote qualitative methodology within the scientific community of management. The specific objective is oriented to propose an empirical research process based on case study method. This is to ensure rigor in the empirical research process, that future research may follow a similar procedure to that is proposed. Design/methodology/approach: Following a qualitative methodological approach, we propose a research process that develops according to four phases, each with several stages. This study analyses the preparatory and field work phases and their stages. Findings: The paper shows the influence that case studies have on qualitative empirical research process in management. Originality/value:. Case study method assumes an important role within qualitative research by allowing for the study and analysis of certain types of phenomena that occur inside organisations, and in respect of which quantitative studies cannot provide an answer.
