La finalitat d’aquest Projecte Fi de Grau és descobrir els clarinetistes que hi havia a Barcelona des de la segona meitat del segle XIX fins a la Guerra Civil, tant a nivell d’intèrprets com a nivell de professors. A més, ens hem proposat conèixer en quines institucions educatives aquests professors impartien les seves classes, com l’Escola Municipal de Música de Barcelona o el Conservatori del Liceu. Això ens ha portat, també, a identificar en quines agrupacions musicals desenvolupaven la seva carrera —com l’Orquestra Pau Casals, la Banda Municipal de Barcelona, l’Orquestra del Liceu o diferents orquestres de ball en les quals oferien concerts populars al llarg del territori. La metodologia utilitzada ha estat l'extracció i l’anàlisi de ressenyes hemerogràfiques i la recerca específica sobre la carrera artística del clarinetista que possiblement va realitzar a nivell estatal els primers enregistraments per a aquest instrument: en Josep Nori.

Aquest projecte final explica algunes tècniques de producció relacionades amb la música electrònica, que també són aplicables a la música pop en general. Es descriuen els processos realitzats en dues parts, que parteixen de la producció de dos singles, Stars i Never mind. En la descripció del primer single s'hi expliquen tots els processos relacionats amb la coproducció i mescla d'una cançó de música electrònica, explorant-ne les possibilitats tant a nivell tècnic com artístic. El segon single, de composició pròpia i dut a terme majoritàriament a l'estudi de gravació, comprèn processos compositius a partir d'instruments virtuals i la seva posterior re-interpretació amb instruments acústics en diferents sessions de gravació, així com les tècniques utilitzades per la seva postproducció. L'objectiu principal ha estat aprendre a definir un so propi com a productor a partir de la combinació d'elements acústics i electrònics, i també repassar algunes tècniques de producció apreses durant la meva estada a l'ESMUC. La feina com a sonòleg i compositor queda documentada amb la descripció de tots aquests processos, deixant-ne constància per a futurs treballs.

El objetivo general de este trabajo es intentar conseguir la particular visión del mundo del violín en la última etapa de la Rusia zarista, sometida a importantes cambios históricos que repercuten en la vida de la sociedad rusa y consecuentemente en su arte; descubriré las figuras de sus intérpretes y su relación con su época y su música. La metodología que he utilizado en el trabajo se trata de un tipo de investigación cualitativa, basada en las figuras de la época y una documentación bibliográfica seleccionada, un estilo historiográfico que nos acerque al sentimiento y el entendimiento de este periodo histórico. La parte final de mi trabajo se compondrá de una serie de conclusiones que avalen mi experiencia y trayectoria en la investigación del proyecto.

Four aporphine alkaloids from the wood of Ocotea macrophylla (Lauraceae) were isolated and characterized as (S)-3-methoxy-nordomesticine (1), (S)-N-ethoxycarbonyl-3-methoxy-nordomesticine (2), (S)-N-formyl-3-methoxy-nordomesticine (3) and (S)-N-methoxycarbonyl-3-methoxy-nordomesticine (4); alkaloids 2-4 are being report for the first time. The structure the isolated compounds were determined based on their spectral data and by comparison of their spectral data with values described in literature. The alkaloid fraction and compound 1 showed antifungal activity against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici and also compound 1 showed antimicrobial activity towards Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis as well.

In this work a new method (SPME-GC/FID) was developed to analyze the activity of binary liquid mixtures. The purpose is to demonstrate that SPME is capable to be used to determinate activity coefficients at infinite dilution knowing the fiber properties, with a lower cost than the conventional methods encountered in literature such as GLC. The activity coefficients at infinite dilution in furfural for n-hexane, n-heptane and cyclohexane at 298.15 K was determined using SPME and deviations of literature data was about 7%.

This work describes the phytochemical exploration of the ethanol extract from leaves and wood of Esenbeckia alata, leading to the isolation and identification of quinoline alkaloids 4-methoxy-3-(3'-methyl-but-2'-enyl)-N-methyl-quinolin-2(1 H)-one, N-methylflindersine, dictamine, kokusaginine, Γ-fagarine, flindersiamine, as well as the fridelane-type triterpenes, frideline, fridelanol and its acetate derivative. Identification of these compounds was based on full analyses of spectroscopic data (¹H, 13C, 1D, 2D, IR, MS) and comparison with data reported in literature. Compound 4-methoxy-3-(3'-methyl-but-2'-enyl)-N-methyl-quinolin-2(1 H)-one is reported for the first time for the genus Esenbeckia.

Soil fluxes of N2O were determined over one year in montane tropical rainforest of southeastern Brazil with average annual rainfall of 2.8 m. Annual mean (± standard deviation) and median N2O fluxes were 3.0 ± 1.4 and 2.7 µg N m-2 h-1, respectively, is 5-10 times lower than mean values reported in literature for tropical rainforest soils in the Amazon basin. N2O fluxes varied spatially and seasonally, were about twice as high during summer as in winter, and significantly influenced by both monthly precipitation and soil temperature.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) by fermentation of Crude Glycerin, a byproduct of the biodiesel industry, by Cupriavidus necator IPT 026, 027 and 028. The influence of fermentation time and temperature in shake flasks were evaluated. The highest PHA production (2.82 g L-1) occurred at 35 ºC for 72 h of fermentation. The melting and initial thermal degradation temperatures of this PHA were 177.9 ºC and 306.33 ºC, respectively, with 55% crystallinity. FTIR spectrum was similar to those reported in literature. The polymer obtained presented three different methyl esters of hydroxyalkanoates in its composition, with molecular weight of 630 kDa. Bacteria can use Crude Glycerin as an inexpensive substrate to produce value-added biodegradable products, such as PHA.

AbstractMany well-established methods for determining the antioxidant capacities in several samples have been described in literature. However, DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid)) are the main two methods that utilize radicals as spectrophotometric probes for analysis. Nevertheless, these methods have certain limitations because of their slower kinetics, solvent polarity effects, the hydrophilicity and lipophilicity of the compounds, chemical costs, etc. In this study, a spectrophotometric method for determining the antioxidant capacity in beverages was developed based on an exploration of the cation radical derived from DEPD. This method was based on the oxidation of aromatic amines with Fe(III) ions at pH 4.0, which leads to their corresponding purple cation radicals (DEPD•+) with λmax values at 500 and 540 nm. The addition of an antioxidant after the formation of the radical leads to a reduction in color intensity that is proportional to the antioxidant concentration in the medium. Results obtained using this method were compared with the Folin-Ciocalteau, ABTS and DPPH methods in terms of applications in wines, teas, and infusions samples. Linear correlation analysis at a 95% confidence level was employed to compare the results, which were in good agreement with a correlation coefficient of r > 0.9000. Thus, the developed method was simple, accurate, and consistent with other assays for the determination of the total amount of phenolic compounds and antioxidant capacity.
