Revalidation of Pterinopelma Pocock 1901 with description of a new species and the female of Pterinopelma vitiosum (Keyserling 1891) (Araneae: Theraphosidae: Theraphosinae)

We revalidate the theraphosid genus Pterinopelma Pocock 1901, describe the female of P. vitiosum for first time and Pterinopelma sazimai sp. nov. from Brazil. These two species were included in a matrix with 35 characters and 32 taxa and were analyzed both with all characters having same weight and with implied weights. Searches considering all characters non-additive or some additive were also carried out. The preferred tree, obtained with implied weights, concavity 6 and all characters non-additive shows that Pterinopelma is a monophyletic genus sister to the clade Lasiodora (Vitalius + Nhandu). The presence of denticles on the prolateral inferior male palpal bulb keel is a synapomorphy of the genus.

Att vara förmyndare : En studie om förmyndarskap i Trosa kommun 1875 - 1891

Denna studie har som syfte att undersöka förmyndarskap i Trosa stadsförsamling på slutet av 1800-talet. Det material som använts för att uppnå detta syfte består av förmyndarskapsprotokoll från Trosa rådstugerätt och magistrat mellan 1875-1891, samt förmyndarskapsförteckningar för samma period. Resultatet visar att antalet omyndiga vilka förordnats förmyndare sjönk stadigt från undersökningsperiodens början mot dess slut. Resultatet visar också på att änkor tydligt betroddes att vara förmyndare åt sina egna barn under perioden. När det gäller förmyndarna så visar undersökningsresultatet på att det var en klar social skiktning i valet av förmyndare. Detta ter sig på två sätt. När rådstugerätten utsåg förmyndare utan rekommendation så valdes till mycket stor del förmyndare från övre samhällsklasser och när det inkom rekommendation angående förmyndare till rätten så rekommenderades och utsågs till förmyndare oftast män ur samma samhällsklass eller liknande yrkesgrupp. Ett tredje noterbart resultat angående förmyndarna var att det endast i ett fåtal fall utsågs förmyndare som var släkt med myndlingen. Detta visar att det var yrkesrelationer och andra informella samband människor emellan som var viktiga i valet av förmyndare snarare än släktskap.

Fan fictions eller adaptioner? : Om Amy Heckerlings spelfilm Clueless (1996) och Debra White Smiths roman Amanda (2006) mot Jane Austens roman Emma (1815)

Det huvudsakliga syftet med min uppsats var att utifrån originalverket Emma (1815) avJane Austen kunna bedöma vad två verk som inspirerats av romanen bör klassificeras som.De två verken var romanen Amanda (2006) av författaren Debra White Smith ochspelfilmen Clueless (1995) av regissören Amy Heckerling. Till min hjälp har jag lästaktuell forskning inom de två termerna adaption och fanfiction och utifrån detta gjort enjämförande analys på verken. Resultatet blev oväntat vagt, det visade sig att begreppen lågnärmre varandra än vad jag trott från början. Båda verken kan till viss del ses som enadaption på originalverket, på samma sätt som de även kan ses som fanfiction. Slutsatsenär dock att de båda verken passar bäst in under termen profic, som är en underkategoriinom fanfiction där författaren/regissören tjänar pengar på sin modifikation och intepublicerat verket i exempelvis ett obetalt nätforum som hobbyaktivitet.

L’infidélité dans le couple : Charles et Emma Bovary dans Madame Bovary de Flaubert et Dinah et Loulou dans Traversée de la Mangrove de Maryse Condé

Ce travail sur l’infidélité dans le couple traite les différentes sources de l’ennui ainsi que leurs conséquences dans la vie du couple. Les différentes opinions de différents auteurs sur la cause de l’infidélité dans le couple sont vues en long et en large. L’éducation féminine du XIXème siècle éclaire sur le handicap qui a entrainé certaines filles dans le malheur car l’éducation de l’époque ne les avait pas bien préparées pour devenir de bonnes épouses. Ce mémoire montre l’image de la religion dans ces deux oeuvres : Madame Bovary et Traversée de la mangrove. La question est de voir comment ces auteurs peignent la religion dans ces oeuvres et pourquoi ils adoptent l’infidélité pour sauver la femme de son ennui. Enfin, la comparaison de ces ennuis est faite afin de voir que dans ces couples, malgré le fait qu’ils appartiennent à des époques différentes, l’ennui dans le couple est le même. Ces auteurs ont procédé aux mêmes stratégies pour sauver le couple de son ennui. La morale critique et religieuse a été utilisée pour aborder ce thème, lorsque nous avons fait une lecture biblique de ces deux oeuvres.

Impact of the 1980 election on ideological liberal organizations

Throughout this section, I sought to establish a nexus between interest group theory and empirical observations. This in turn, would provide the framework from which I would set forth a series of hypotheses concerning the impact of the deviating 1980 elections on ideological liberal organizations. What I found in fact, was not just a link but a near perfect correlation between theory and practice, each reinforcing the other and pointing to the same ineluctable conclusion: The upshot of the Reagan/New Right landslide of 1980 was a dramatic renaissance of American liberalism. A renaissance so pervasive that ideological liberal organizations stand to benefit tremendously in terms of sustaining membership and raising funds. Moreover, it promises to facilitate the formation of liberal lobbying coalitions and enhance their capacity to cultivate grass roots support.

Greek shipping and the crisis of the 1980's

In 1982, Greek shipping plunged into a severe crisis: the size of the fleet declined dramatically and over 30% of the fleet was laid-up. catapulting many shipping companies into bankruptcy. The causes of the crisis were: The world recession, leading to regulation, protectionism, subsidization. and the growth of new competition in the tramp shipping market. The erosion of the cost differential between Greek shipping and other maritime nations of the world. The specialization and containerization of the world fleet. The old age and other characteristics of the Greek fleet, which exacerbated the crisis. Greek shipping, with its long history and the expertise, diligence, and supreme opportunism of its dynamic shipowners, will survive the crisis.

Interview with Louise "Lou" Trucks

In her December 2014 interview with Michelle Dubert-Bellrichard, Louise “Lou” Trucks detailed her thoughts and memories of her time at Winthrop. Trucks spoke of the time period from 1960-1964 as a music and music education double major. Trucks shared the benefits of being a music major, her involvement in campus traditions and organizations, and the rigor of her studies. Trucks concludes her interview detailing her life after Winthrop in Bloomington, IN and Rochester, NY. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections Oral History Program.

Tendo como inspiração o comix underground norte-americano, os quadrinhos alternativos brasileiros revelaram vários artistas de talento, muitos deles reconhecidos inclusive no exterior, e abordaram criticamente temas relevantes da realidade brasileira. O mercado editorial de Histórias em Quadrinhos no Brasil sempre esteve sujeito às intempéries políticas e econômicas, mas, ao longo das décadas de 1980 e 1990, com o processo de redemocratização e apesar da crise inflacionária, a produção alternativa de histórias em quadrinhos conquistou o público-leitor. Uma das editoras mais expressivas nesse contexto foi a Circo Editorial.

Avaliação do progresso técnico da suinocultura do oeste-catarinense : seus reflexos sobre os resultados econômicos 1980/1999

O presente trabalho apresenta uma discussão sobre a incorporação de tecnologia pela suinocultura do Oeste Catarinense, demonstrada através de funções de produção. Relacionouse o avanço tecnológico com a rentabilidade e com os custos de produção, dos produtores de suíno tipo ciclo completo, no período de 1980 a 1999. Também, simulou-se como evoluíram os custos de produção após a internalização do custo de armazenar os dejetos em bioesterqueiras. As principais conclusões a que se chegou foi que houve avanço e incorporação do progresso tecnológico pela suinocultura, contudo, os ganhos reais deste avanço não foram apropriados pelos produtores. Pode-se constatar, analisando a rentabilidade do setor que, em apenas dois anos, obteve-se resultado positivo, os demais anos os produtores tiveram prejuízo com a atividade suinocultura. Com relação à internalização dos custos de armazenagem dos dejetos, verificou-se que é viável economicamente este investimento. Entretanto, levando-se em conta a capacidade de investimentos dos produtores, conclui-se que haverá dificuldades em por em prática a Lei Ambiental.
