Neurorééducation précoce au Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois: du rêve à la réalité [Early neurorehabilitation in an acute university hospital: from dream to reality].

The need for an early neurorehabilitation pathway was identified in an acute university hospital. A team was formed to draw up and implement it. A neuro-sensorial, interdisciplinary and coordinated therapy program was developed, focused on tracheostomised patients as soon as they were admitted to the intermediate care in neurology and neurosurgery. The impact of this care plan was evaluated by comparing the results obtained with that pertaining to patients treated previously in the same services. The comparison showed a reduction of 48% of the mean duration of tracheostomy, of 39% in the time to inscription in a neurorehabilitation centre and of 20% in the length of stay in the intermediate care. An early neurorehabilitation care program, with an interdisciplinary and coordinated team, reduces complications and lengths of stay.

The effect of university culture and stakeholders' perceptions on university-business linking activities

The present work discusses the effects of university culture and structure on university-business relations, focusing on knowledge transfer activities. It puts forward the thesis that when links between university and business are introduced into the university system as a turn-key proposition rather than as developmental process, the prevailing university culture and structure will exert resistance against change and will oppose the creation of appropriate structures to promote them, with deleterious effects for the university.

This Plan is intended to be a qualified plan within the meaning of Code Section 401(a), a plan within the meaning of Code Section 401(a), and a governmental plan within the meaning of Code Section 414(d). This Plan may be referred to as “The State of Iowa’s 401(a) Employer Match Plan”, which is one of two plans that comprise the Retirement Investors’ Club (RIC).

This Plan is intended to satisfy the requirements for an “eligible deferred compensation plan” under Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended from time to time, and all other applicable provisions of law and the regulations issued thereunder. This Plan may be referred to as “The State of Iowa’s 457 Employee Contribution Plan”, which is one of two plans that comprise the Retirement Investors’ Club (RIC).
