Totuuden tuntomerkit : tosi-TV:tä ja "totuus"-elokuvaa

Opinnäytetyön kirjallinen osa pohtii dokumentaarisen elokuvan ja tosi-TV:n eroja ja yhtäläisyyksiä. Kysymys on rajattu koskemaan näiden kahden lajityypin keinoja autenttisen vaikutelman luomiseksi muodon ja teknisen toteutuksen tasolla. Dokumentaarisella elokuvalla ja tosi-TV:llä on osittain samanlaiset lähtökohdat, mutta niiden keinoissa on enemmän eroja kuin yhtäläisyyksiä. Keskityn tutkimuksessani erityisesti tosi-TV:n muotoon. Lähtökohtana pohdinnalle olen käyttänyt Veijo Hietalan ja Ari Honka-Hallilan esittämää teoriaa televisio-ohjelman autenttisuuden vaikutelmaa lisäävistä indekseistä eli "mittareista". Ohjelman autenttisuutta voidaan Hietalan ja Honka-Hallilan mukaan mitata visuaalisilla, temporaalisilla ja interaktiivisilla indekseillä. Käyn läpi tosi-TV:n kuvan, äänen, rakenteen, leikkauksen ja käsikirjoituksen keinoja autenttisuuden vaikutelman tehostamisessa ja vertaan niitä dokumentaarisen elokuvan vastaaviin keinoihin. Käsittelen myös joitain vain televisiolle ominaisia keinoja luoda autenttisuuden vaikutelmaa, kuten suoran lähetyksen illuusio ja vuorovaikutus katsojan kanssa. Pohdin myös "toisen sukupolven" tosi-TV:lle ominaista tapaa tuoda "tavallisen" ihmisen tunteet televisiodraaman keskiöön. Vaikka tosi-TV:llä ja dokumentaarisella elokuvalla on joitain yhtymäkohtia, ovat ne lajityyppeinä etääntyneet kauas toisistaan. Tämä ei kuitenkaan välttämättä tarkoita sitä, että niiden sisältöjen erot olisivat tarkkarajaiset. Myöskään ei ole aina yksiselitteisen selvää, onko jokin tietty ohjelma dokumentti vai tosi-TV-ohjelma. Opinnäytetyöni teososan muodostavat Laulua kauniiden lasten saarelta -nimisen teatterikappaleen videoprojisoinnit. Teatterikappaleessa tehtäväni oli ohjata tosi-TV:tä jäljittelevä kuvaustilanne koko näytelmän ajaksi. Teososan tekeminen on ollut lähtökohtana kirjallisen osan pohdinnoille.

A Comparison of the Management Models of Protected Areas between China and the Southern African Region

A Comparison of the Management Models of Protected Areas between China and the African South Region allows reading and evaluating the similarities and differences in the use of management model as a management tool for protected areas in China and South African Region. Specifically, some positive and negative features of the management approaches for the two regions. Secondary data was collected from various related literature such as policy documents, students‟ dissertations/thesis, scientific articles and magazines. Based on the method above, the study found out that China's first nature reserve was the Dingus Mountain Nature Reserve in Zhaoqing, Guangdong province established in 1956. By the end of 2005, about 2,349 nature reserves of various kinds were set up throughout the country, covering a total area of 149.95 million ha and accounting for 15 percent of the total land territory. The study further found that Southern Africa has approximately 4,390 protected areas out of 11487920 total land areas and Eastern Africa has approximately 1838144 protected areas, which is equivalent to 15.0% of the total land areas. South Africa in this region had its first declared natural park in 1926 after Paul Kruger (a war hero) had alerted the authorities of the extinguishing threat of some animal species of region.

Nd-, O-, and H-isotopic evidence for complex, closed-system fluid evolution of the peralkaline Ilimaussaq intrusion, South Greenland

Relatively homogeneous oxygen isotope compositions of amphibole, clinopyroxene, and olivine separates (+5.2 to +5.7parts per thousand relative to VSMOW) and neodymium isotope compositions (epsilon(Nd(T)) = -0.9 to -1.8 for primary magmatic minerals and epsilon(Nd(T)) = -0.1 and -0.5 for mineral separates from late-stage pegmatites and hydrothermal veins) from the alkaline to agpaitic llimaussaq intrusion, South Greenland, indicate a closed system evolution of this igneous complex and support a mantle derivation of the magma. In contrast to the homogeneous oxygen and neodymium isotopic data, deltaD values for hand-picked amphibole separates vary between -92 and -232parts per thousand and are among the most deuterium-depleted values known from igneous amphiboles. The calculated fluid phase coexisting with these amphiboles has a homogeneous oxygen isotopic composition within the normal range of magmatic waters, but extremely heterogeneous and low D/H ratios, implying a decoupling of the oxygen- and hydrogen isotope systems. Of the several possibilities that can account for such unusually low deltaD values in amphiboles (e.g., late-stage hydrothermal exchange with meteoric water, extensive magmatic degassing, contamination with organic matter, and/or effects of Fe-content and pressure on amphibole-water fractionation) the most likely explanation for the range in deltaD values is that the amphiboles have been influenced by secondary interaction and reequilibration with D-depleted fluids obtained through late-magmatic oxidation of internally generated CH(4) and/or H(2). This interpretation is consistent with the known occurrence of abundant magmatic CH(4) in the Ilimaussaq rocks and with previous studies on the isotopic compositions of the rocks and fluids. Description of Lutzomyia (Helcocyrtomyia) herreri sp. nov. (Diptera, Psychodidae, Phlebotominae) from the South Peruvian Andes

A new species of phlebotomine, Lutzomyia (Helcocyrtomyia) herreri sp. nov., belonging to the series osornoi, from the Department of Puno, Peru, is described. Identification keys for both sexes of the species of this series are presented.

South American Coccinellidae (Coleoptera): part X: A systematic revision of Thalassa Mulsant (Hyperaspidinae)

The genus Thalassa Mulsant, 1850 is revised. Its five species are redescribed: T. pentaspilota (Chevrolat, 1853), T. flaviceps Mulsant, 1850, T. similaris Mulsant, 1850, T. montezumae Mulsant, 1850, and T. glauca (Mulsant, 1850). A new species is proposed, Thalassa korschefskyi sp.nov., from Colombia. The species are illustrated and a key to species is also provided. Lectotype of Thalassa reyi Mulsant, 1850 is here designated.

New species of the South American loxandrine genus Metoncidus Bates (Coleoptera, Carabidae)

Two species are added to the previously monotypic genus Metoncidus Bates, 1871 (Carabidae, Loxandrini): M. epiphytus sp. nov. (type locality Peru: Loreto, Cocha Shinguito) and M. gracilus sp. nov. (type locality Peru: Tambopata, Madre de Dios). Information allowing identification of the genus from among other South American carabid genera and a key to adult individuals of Metoncidus species are provided.
