[spa]Desde la década de 1970 el feminismo ha significado una de las profundizaciones críticas m.s productivas del legado del pensamiento político de la modernidad. El presente artículo atiende al cuestionamiento de las modernas nociones de libertad y comunidad políticas que Linda Zerilli ha llevado a cabo en su lectura de Hannah Arendt y de Ludwig Wittgenstein. A partir de ah. y de la reciente querella en torno al diformismo sexual, se muestra la necesidad de repensar la relación entre teoría y praxis más allá de la concepción moderna, presente en buena parte de la teoría feminista contemporánea. [eng]Since the 1970s feminism has signified one of the most productive critical reconsiderations of modern political thought legacy. This article examines the questioning ofmodern notions of political freedom and political community that Linda Zerilli has undertaken in her reading of Hannah Arendt and Ludwig Wittgenstein. On this basis and on criticism of sexual dimorphism, the article shows the need to rethink the relationship between theory and praxis beyond itsmodern conception, a feature present in much of contemporary feminist theory.

The Application of 3D Reconstruction Techniques in the Analysis of Ancient Tarraco’s Urban Topography

The widespread implementation of GIS-based 3D topographical models has been a great aid in the development and testing of archaeological hypotheses. In this paper, a topographical reconstruction of the ancient city of Tarraco, the Roman capital of the Tarraconensis province, is presented. This model is based on topographical data obtained through archaeological excavations, old photographic documentation, georeferenced archive maps depicting the pre-modern city topography, modern detailed topographical maps and differential GPS measurements. The addition of the Roman urban architectural features to the model offers the possibility to test hypotheses concerning the ideological background manifested in the city shape. This is accomplished mainly through the use of 3D views from the main city accesses. These techniques ultimately demonstrate the ‘theatre-shaped’ layout of the city (to quote Vitrubius) as well as its southwest oriented architecture, whose monumental character was conceived to present a striking aspect to visitors, particularly those arriving from the sea.

El Segle de Pierre Vilar

Tot i que els interessos de Pierre Vilar, en el curs de la seva llarga vida professional, van ser molt més amplis, em penso que no és cap exageració afirmar que el segle XVIII fou el seu segle. En tot cas, el que segur que no és exagerat és dir que els investigadors catalans sobre el segle XVIII han estat aquells sobre qui la influència de l’obra de Vilar més s’ha fet sentir. Aquest fet és fàcil d’explicar. En primer lloc, perquè va ser la documentació del segle XVIII la que Pierre Vilar va explorar i treballar de primera mà en els arxius i la que va alimentar el miler de pàgines dels volums tercer i quart –segon i tercer si pensem en l’edició francesa original– de la seva voluminosa tesi doctoral. En segon lloc, perquè en aquest segle Vilar va cercar-hi els fonaments de les societats contemporànies. De fet, i no podia ser d’altra manera tenint en compte el mètode d’anàlisi històrica de Pierre Vilar, la recerca empírica sobre el segle XVIII català va fer-li plantejar el “problema” històric dels “fonaments econòmics de les estructures nacionals”

La Rabassa morta i els discursos historiogràfics. Una relectura d'Emili Giralt

El 1965, Emili Giralt va escriure el treball titulat "El conflicto rabasaire y la cuestión agraria en Cataluña hasta 1936" . En els prop de quaranta anys transcorreguts, les investigacions d'història agrària i econòmica han corroborat el paper central de la vinya en el desenvolupament català i les d'història social i política han insistit en la importància de les lluites rabassaires en el primer terç del segle XX. Només per aquestes circumstancies el treball d'Emili Giralt mereixeria ser avui reconegut. Però l'article de Giralt va ser innovador i pioner en un altre aspecte que voldria remarcar aquí. Em refereixo a la seva manera d'analitzar les relacions socials agràries, concretades en aquest cas en la figura contractual de la rabassa morta. Parlant-nos d'un procés de "desnaturalització del contracte, posant en evidencia les contradiccions d'algunes sentencies, Giralt aconsegueix donar una vida especial a les escriptures notarials. Potser han calgut quaranta anys de nous estudis per adonar-nos de la frescor i la validesa de la proposta analítica de Giralt. Una manera de reivindicar-la avui és fer un salt qualitatiu important: es tracta d'integrar la recerca i el discurs d'Emili Giralt i altres autors sobre la rabassa morta en el debat historiogràfic sobre el desenvolupament econòmic espanyol

Rullaavaan budjetointiin siirtymisen ongelmat ja mahdollisuudet

Perinteinen budjetointi on saanut osakseen runsaasti kritiikkiä yritysjohdolta ja taloushallinnon ammattilaisilta. Sen ei enää koeta toimivan yrityksen talouden tehokkaana ohjaajana, vaan se koetaan hankalana ja kalliina prosessina ja vanhentuneena tietona jo valmistuessaan. Yritykset ovatkin viime vuosina pyrkineet löytämään vaihtoehtoisia tapoja viestittää yrityksen taloudellisia tavoitteita organisaatiolle ja luoda hyvä perusta motivoinnille ja palkitsemiselle. Vaihtoehdoksi on esitettyrullaavaa budjettia. Tämän tutkimuksen tavoitteena on vertailla rullaavaa budjettia perinteiselle vuosibudjetoinnille vaihtoehtoisena budjetointimenetelmänä. Tutkimus on toteutettu kvalitatiivisena tutkimuksena perehtyen alan tutkimukseen ja kirjallisuuteen, sekä tutkimalla teollista toimintaa harjoittavan suomalaisenyhtiön kokemuksia näistä molemmista budjetointimenetelmistä. Tutkimuksen tuloksia voidaan käyttää esitutkimuksena silloin, kun yritys haluaa harkita vaihtoehtoja vuosibudjetoinnille. Johtopäätöksenä voidaan todeta, että rullaava budjetointi voi korvata vuosibudjetin. Rullaavan budjetin lisäksi yritys tarvitsee sekä laadullisia että määrällisiä mittareita varmistaakseen liiketoiminnan oikean suunnan. Näitä mittaristoja voidaan käyttää myös henkilöstön palkitsemisen perustana.Perinteisen budjetin valvontafunktion korvaaminen on haasteellista. Tavoitteenasetanta ja motivointi ovat myös perinteisen budjetin funktioita. Vaihtoehdoksi on esitetty selkeiden toimintaperiaatteiden ja - rajoitteiden määrittäminen ja alemman johdon ja henkilöstön valtaistaminen.

Yrittäjämäisen markkinoinnin käsitteelliset elementit

Tällä hetkellä markkinoinnin yksi tuoreimmista tutkimusalueista on yrittäjämäinen markkinointi. Yrittäjämäinen markkinointi on suomennos englanninkielisistä sanoista entrepreneurial marketing. Yrittäjämäinen markkinointi yhdistää markkinoinnin ja yrittäjyyden. Yrittäjämäisellä markkinoinnilla tarkoitetaan yksilön tai organisaation käyttäytymistä tavalla, joka haastaa markkinoiden tavanomaiset toimintamallit. Se on proaktiivinen, innovatiivinen ja riskejä ottava markkinointimalli, joka tunnistaa ja hyödyntää mahdollisuuksia markkinoilla houkutellakseen asiakkaita ja luodakseen kannattavia asiakassuhteita. Vaikka tai ehkä juuri siksi, että yrittäjämäinen markkinointi eroaa markkinoinnin oppikirjoissa esitetyistä perinteisistä teorioista, tutkimukset ovat osoittaneet, että yritykset ovat onnistuneet luomaan menestyvää liiketoimintaa toimimalla yrittäjämäisesti. Tämän pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena on tarkastella yrittäjämäisen markkinoinnin käsitettä. Tutkielma on teoreettinen, käsiteanalyyttinen työ. Tutkielmassa lähdetään liikkeelle tarkastelemalla markkinoinnin ja yrittäjyyden käsitteitä sekä näiden käsitteiden muodostamaa rajapintaa. Markkinoinnin uudelleen käsitteellistäminen, jossa yrittäjämäisessä markkinoinnissakin on kysymys, vaatii kuitenkin myös markkinoinnin ymmärtämistä kolmella tasolla ¿ kulttuurina,strategiana ja taktiikkana. Yrittäjämäinen markkinointi tarjoaa viitekehyksen markkinoinnin uusille vaatimuksille tulevaisuudessa vastauksena perinteiseen markkinointiin kohdistuneeseen kritiikkiin.

Cost information in engineering design -Potentials and limitations of activity-based costing

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse activity-based costing (ABC) and possible modified versions ofit in engineering design context. The design engineers need cost information attheir decision-making level and the cost information should also have a strong future orientation. These demands are high because traditional management accounting has concentrated on the direct actual costs of the products. However, cost accounting has progressed as ABC was introduced late 1980s and adopted widely bycompanies in the 1990s. The ABC has been a success, but it has gained also criticism. In some cases the ambitious ABC systems have become too complex to build,use and update. This study can be called an action-oriented case study with some normative features. In this thesis theoretical concepts are assessed and allowed to unfold gradually through interaction with data from three cases. The theoretical starting points are ABC and theory of engineering design process (chapter2). Concepts and research results from these theoretical approaches are summarized in two hypotheses (chapter 2.3). The hypotheses are analysed with two cases (chapter 3). After the two case analyses, the ABC part is extended to cover alsoother modern cost accounting methods, e.g. process costing and feature costing (chapter 4.1). The ideas from this second theoretical part are operationalized with the third case (chapter 4.2). The knowledge from the theory and three cases is summarized in the created framework (chapter 4.3). With the created frameworkit is possible to analyse ABC and its modifications in the engineering design context. The framework collects the factors that guide the choice of the costing method to be used in engineering design. It also illuminates the contents of various ABC-related costing methods. However, the framework needs to be further tested. On the basis of the three cases it can be said that ABC should be used cautiously when formulating cost information for engineering design. It is suitable when the manufacturing can be considered simple, or when the design engineers are not cost conscious, and in the beginning of the design process when doing adaptive or variant design. If the design engineers need cost information for the embodiment or detailed design, or if manufacturing can be considered complex, or when design engineers are cost conscious, the ABC has to be always evaluated critically.

'Making Science Understandable'. Divulgació científica i mediació editorial: el cas de The Wisdom of the Body de Walter B. Cannon (1871-1945)

The present paper aims at an historical reconstruction, in the framework of the publishing industry in the years between the two World Wars, of the role played by the publisher William W. Norton in the genesis, published in 1932, and new edition in 1938, of Walter B. Cannon"s book The Wisdom of the Body. With the analysis of this case study, we aimed at contributing to the current criticism of the «dominant view», which tries, in an uncritical manner, that scientific popularization follows an ineluctable, continuous and linear evolution.

Il canone del Novecento letterario italiano in Spagna

The essay offers a thorough analysis on the issue of the reception of XXth Century Italian Literature in Spain. The age af the avant-garde and the late Fifties are signalled as the decisive moments in the affirmation of such influence, whereas the Sixties mark the beginning of a declining phase, which had different outcomes in poetry and in narrative. In defining this complex trajectory, a wide range of cultural indicators have been used (such as: translations; anthologies; militant criticism; the influence upon individual writers or rather upon relevant reading communities etc.), and the limitations imposed by the specific cultural and epistemological expectations, considered in their well determined historical context, have also been observed.

Belleza y elocuencia, o la rendición por los sentidos (Lucianus, Scyth. 11)

In Lucian Scythian (§11), all previous editors have corrected the word ¢p£xetai as it appears in the manuscripts to p£xetai. We aim to justify the restoration of the original text because, obviously, it is possible in terms of form, and, besides, it seems more appropriate to the context. The verb ¢p£gomai implies the notion of being moved from one place to another, while p£gomai expresses only the notion of simple attraction which does not involve actual movement. This notion of true surrendering through the senses seems to match the idea developed here by Lucian; loci paralleli in Lucian himself and other Attic authors help us to confirm this interpretation.

La primera publicación se trata de un libro de interés para investigadores vinculados a los procesos de evaluación de impacto ambiental. El libro, cuyo texto está en tres idiomas (catalán, inglés y castellano en el mismo volumen), ofrece una revisión de las metodologias para detectar los impactos causados en el ambiente social y humano como resultado de la construcción de proyectos, dificios o instalaciones sujetas a un proceso de evaluación de impacto ambiental.

Les traduccions al català de Marguerite Yourcenar: edicions i recepció crítica

Dins el marc d’un projecte més ampli que vol abastar l’anàlisi de les traduccions d’obres literàries escrites per dones, l'objectiu d’aquest article és establir l’estat de la qüestió de les traduccions al català de l’obra de Marguerite Yourcenar i oferir una primera aproximació a la recepció crítica que aquestes traduccions han tingut a la premsa catalana. Per això hem ordenat l’estudi en tres apartats: a) cronologia de les traduccions de Yourcenar al català; b) referències bibliogràfiques de les obres de Marguerite Yourcenar traduïdes al català i/o al castellà; c) recepció de les traduccions catalanes de Yourcenar a la premsa de Catalunya.

Fuusiovalvonta ja merkityksellisten markkinoiden määrittäminen Euroopan unionissa

Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan yrityskeskittymien valvontaa Euroopan unionissa. Kiinnostuksen kohteena on erityisesti, syrjivätkö yrityskauppasäännökset pienten maiden yrityksiä estämällä niiden kasvun kansainvälisesti kilpailukykyisiksi. Komission Komission markkinamäärittelyä on arvosteltu erityisesti maantieteellisten markkinoiden osalta. Komissio kielsi ruotsalaisten kuorma- ja linja-autoja valmistavien Volvon ja Scanian fuusion maaliskuussa 2000 tarkasteltuaan asiaa kansallisten markkinoiden kannalta. Arvostelijoiden mukaan markkina-alue olisi ollut koko EU:n laajuinen. Aihetta tutkitaan merkittävimpiin päätöksiin tutustumalla, kirjallisuuteen ja aiheesta kirjoitettuihin artikkeleihin perehtymällä sekä haastattelemalla asiantuntijoita. Komission käytännön ei voida osoittaa syrjivän esim. Pohjoismaita markkinoiden määrittämisessä. Viime vuosien fuusioissa markkinat on määritelty kansallisiksi yhtä usein Pohjoismaissa kuin muuallakin EU-alueella. Pohjoismaiden asemaa vaikeuttavat syrjäinen sijainti ja muut olosuhteet, jotka lisäävät alalletulon esteitä. Koska markkinat ovat pienet, ulkomaisille potentiaalisille kilpailijoille ei ole tarjolla suuria voittoja esim. Suomesta. Sisämarkkinoiden kehittyminen tulee parantamaan yritysten mahdollisuuksia laajentua yrityskaupoilla. Pohjoismaiden tilanteeseen sisämarkkinoiden kehittymisellä ei kuitenkaan kaikilla aloilla ole suurta vaikutusta, johtuen erilaisista olosuhteista muuhun Eurooppaan verrattuna.

Los espectaculos de la tradición romano-pagana en la obra de Paulino de Nola

In this paper we study the presence of elements related to Roman games in the work of the bishop Paulinus of Nola (355-431 AD). References to shows in his work are not as abundant as they occurs among his contemporaries. Nevertheless, many of these references possess a great importance for us. Certainly, they are similar to other allusions made by his contemporaries; however they express the opinion of one of the most famous and prestigious bishops of the Late Antiquity about these popular exhibitions. In his writings we can see his criticism of the waste of wealth in the organization of the Roman games, and also the use of a metaphorical language with ludical reminiscences whose origins go back to Paul of Tarsu

Budjetoinnin ongelmat nykypäivän yrityksessä

Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena on koota yhteen budjetoinnin kohtaamia ongelmia ja kritiikkiä nykypäivän alati muuttuvassa ympäristössä. Tämän pohjalta selvitetään, onko budjetointi edelleen käyttökelpoinen työkalu yrityksen talouden ohjaamisessa. Tutkielmassa sovelletaan käsiteanalyyttistä tutkimusotetta, tutkimus on tiedonhankintatavaltaan teoreettinen. Budjetointia on moitittu muun muassa menetelmän raskaudesta ja kustannuksista, budjetointiin perustuvasta palkitsemisesta, sen strategiayhteydestä, budjettiharhasta ja – pelaamisesta, sekä sen inkrementaalisuudesta ja keskittymisestä vain taloudellisiin tekijöihin. Ongelmia näyttää ilmenevän sitä enemmän, mitä dynaamisempi ja monimuotoisempi yrityksen toimintaympäristö on. Vaikka yritysjohto yhtyy kritiikkiin ja löydetyt esimerkkitapaukset budjetoinnista luopumisesta ovat olleet rohkaisevia, on budjetoinnista luopumisen esteenä usein muutosvastarinta ja se, että uutta yleisesti hyväksyttyä käytäntö ei vielä ole.
