After years of stagnation, the naval construction industry in Brazil has been experiencing a period of recovery caused by investments in the oil and gas sector and the implementation of governmental programs that aimed to regenerate it. However, efforts in learning and innovations are needed in order to reinsert the country in this activity and achieve international levels of competitiveness. Based on literature about learning processes and continuous improvement practices and their impact in the innovative and productive processes, this paper aims to identify the main tendencies, mechanisms and procedures to improve the construction and management processes in the Brazilian naval construction industry. The methodology used for the data analysis classifies obtained information from magazines and annals of congresses of the sector, according to the established analysis categories (phenomena). Such categories study information related to the productive and technological processes of the industry, the main internal and external relations of the industrial park, the management of resources and processes, policies, investments, etc. The data was collected in the period 2004-2010, and more than 500 registers that show a dominance of the investment phenomenon, especially in the increase of productive capacity, were catalogued. In addition to this, there is evidence of modernization in the manufacturing plan and the equipment, diverse forms of cooperation, implementation of human resources management practices and engineering or processes and products. Hence, a process of catching up governs and is guided by modernization and increase training in this industry.

The purpose of this research was to present the principles for the implementation of a future water body classification program at the UGRHI-1 (Management Unit of Water Resources-1/São Paulo, Brazil) using qualitative and quantitative water modeling. Our study area was in Campos do Jordão, a city in the state of São Paulo, specifically in the Perdizes river watershed, which is included in the UGRHI-1. The water quality assessment used a modeling mehtodology that can support a future study for the classification of water bodies in the region. The behavior of DO and BOD parameters was assessed in the water quality scenarios, considering the variations of flows, loads, reductions in withdrawals and different efficiencies in sewage treatment. The model used was QUAL2E developed by USEPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) that received a new graphic interface named QUAL2R model. The reference flows Q7,10, Q95% and Qm used were obtained through the DAEE (Department of Water and Electric Energy) hydrologic regionalization method. It was noted that of the 9 proposed scenarios, only scenario 6 that was predicted in the flow regime Qm with the existence of a treatment system capable of removing 93% of the BOD, in the Perdizes River remained 67.5% of the time in class 2. Scenario 8 predicted a 50% reduction in In scenario 8 a reduction of 50% in the flow captured in CA-04, associated with the efficiency of 93% of BOD removal keeping the river in class 2. In scenario 9 the minimum required efficiency in sewage treatment in the flow regime Q95% for keeping the river in class 2 was also calculated and the value of 94.7% was obtained.

The morphometric study in watersheds is a key part to managing watersheds, because from the morphometric indices can determine the risks and potential of each watershed and assess environmental impacts on them generated mainly by human activities. This study aimed to characterize the watershed of the river Verissimo, located in the municipality of Verissimo - MG, analyze morphometric indices and propose how best to use the soil to minimize erosion impacts to resources hídricos.Foi used digital charts 1:100,000 scale and AutoCAD software for the quantification of vector data. The watershed has an area of 146.055 km2 , 55.902 km perimeter. According to the morphometric indices is considered 5th order, highly branched, slightly elongated format of little risk to floods occur, its main channel corresponds to 28.541 kilometers and has undulated, with an average slope of 8.59%. Through the results of morphometric indices and roughness coefficient, shows the potential of watershed land use on pastures for livestock, and soil conservation practices and water to minimize the impacts of erosion and contamination of water resources.

Water is an economic, strategic and social valuable resource of the utmost importance to society. This renewable natural resource is increasingly scarce with the growing of populations, industries and agriculture, in addition to the pollution surface and underground water and the waste have aggravated this situation. Investments in the sector of water resources so that this resource meets in quantity and quality the demand from its multiple uses, represent a significant portion of national and regional budgets. Therefore, the use of alternative sources of water capture can reduce the pressure on conventional public water supply systems. In this work was designed and executed a rain water collection system to a residence in the city of Barueri (SP), which can be applied to other residences. In this system, the rooftop of the residence was used as the waterproof and capture area. The gutter and the PVC conductors were used for driving the water to two connected reservoirs. The stored water was designed to address activities that are not potable, such as washing clothes and external areas and garden irrigation. The system showed economic viability, with 34-month return of investment time, wherein after that period, in addition to environmental and social benefits derived from the implementation of the project, the economy made with the payment of public supply rates should be considered. This rainwater capture system is inexpensive and uses materials available in the market. Therefore, its application to a greater number of households should be encouraged as a measure of sustainable water management

This work aimed to carry out a study of the environmental conditions of the Permanent Preservation Areas (PPAs) in the sub-basin of Marimbondo Stream in the city of Jales (SP), through remote sensing techniques and taking as the basis Brazilian environmental legislation, the Forest Code Federal Law Nº 12,651/2012. Permanent Preservation Areas are inserted intrinsically improved conditions in the quantity and quality of water in the areas of springs and along water bodies in rural properties. Therefore, we also carried out studies on the new Forest Code compared to the old Federal Law Order no. 4771/1965 and the observation of its application in the area of sub-basin as well as carrying out the simulation. The results of this research allowed toverify the need for direct implementation of the monitoring measures with the Forest Code, and this water management tool in Brazil, which will ensure sustainable management practices of land use and land cover, with direct benefits to water production, mainly for public supply. Also there was a greater need for involvement by the public actors, the Basin Committee of the São José dos Dourados and the municipal government of Jales, in order to truly act aimed at the protection and maintenance of the water body Stream Wasp

Se presentan aquí los resultados alcanzados hasta ahora en un proyecto de investigación que se lleva adelante en el Centro de Investigaciones Geográficas de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación de la UNLP, Argentina. El problema de la emergencia hídrica (por inundaciones o por sequías) se ha considerado a menudo, de manera fragmentaria, dando un tratamiento desigual a cada una de las dimensiones componentes del riesgo. Se intenta identificar indicadores de peligrosidad, exposición, vulnerabilidad e incertidumbre que permitan evaluar el riesgo hídrico a la vez que explorar procedimientos de detección no convencionales dado la falta de información actualizada y confiable sobre esta problemática. Asimismo, la evaluación de la incidencia de los instrumentos normativos en materia de uso y ocupación del suelo (regulación y control) respecto de las modificaciones operadas en las dinámicas naturales del agua y de los recursos hídricos superficiales es fundamental, en la medida que las limitaciones en el estado del conocimiento y las indeterminaciones jurisdiccionales y administrativas, así como normativa. (Incertidumbre técnico-científica e Incertidumbre político-administrativa) inciden negativamente en la capacidad de la sociedad implicada para resolver conflictos ambientales y territoriales

Este trabalho investiga o alinhamento das práticas de gestão de recursos humanos em relação à cultura organizacional, assim como a importância desse alinhamento no alcance das metas e objetivos da organização representada neste estudo pela Fundação Centro de Educação do Trabalhador Florestan Fernandes , localizada no Município de Diadema, no Grande ABCD paulista. Do mesmo modo, compreende estas práticas e pressupostos em um contexto mais amplo e em permanente interação com as demandas apresentadas pelo ambiente externo à organização. A metodologia utilizada no trabalho é de caráter qualitativo devido à possibilidade que apresenta em dar tratamento a um forte conteúdo comportamental e subjetivo, no qual interferem fatores diversificados e pouco controláveis que permitem através da descrição, decodificação e tradução chegar a uma conclusão, não quanto à freqüência, mas quanto ao significado de certos fenômenos do mundo social.(AU)
