Idoneidad didáctica de un protocolo sociocultural de enseñanza y aprendizaje de las matemáticas

En este estudio se evalúa la adecuación de un protocolo para la enseñanza del concepto de poliedro regular, destinado a alumnos de 14 y 15 años. Este protocolo se ha diseñado desde una perspectiva sociocultural y su evaluación se basa en la aplicación de los criterios de idoneidad didáctica que ofrece el enfoque ontosemiótico. La idoneidad se estudia con la revisión de sus diferentes dimensiones: matemática, cognitiva, interaccional, mediacional, emocional y ecológica. El análisis ha permitido detectar algunos factores que favorecen la validez del protocolo y la adecuación para su empleo en el aula, como el tipo de discurso, el uso de material manipulable o el trabajo cooperativo

Aplicació d'un treball cooperatiu en una experiència de laboratori del grau de química

El projecte que es presenta ha modificat els continguts, procediments, competències i avaluació de l'assignatura Experimentació Química II. Es tracta d'una assignatura de tipus sintètic que es cursa l'últim any de la llicenciatura de química i és, per tant, una de les darreres assignatures pràctiques que els alumnes realitzen abans d'incorporar-se al món professional. El Método de simulación por redes (MESIR) aplicado a la resolución de problemas en ingeniería, aúna todo el potencial existente en la analogía termo-eléctrica con la potencia de los ordenadores. El registro del programa PROCCA-09 basado en el MESIR es resultado del trabajo de dos grupos de investigación de la UMU y la UPCT. Entre las ventajas de esta herramienta, en contraposición con las prácticas de laboratorio, podemos citar: es generalmente más económica, no tiene riesgos, portátil, fomenta el aprendizaje significativo, etc. En la comunicación se presentan algunas experiencias y resultados de la mejora del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje con esta herramienta

El Portafolios como estrategia de evaluación y aprendizaje en las asignaturas de química analítica de la Universidad de Jaén

En este trabajo se ha estudiado la aceptación por parte de los alumnos del uso del Portafolios como una estrategia para la evaluación y el aprendizaje de diferentes asignaturas que imparte el Área de Química Analítica en la Universidad de Jaén en tres titulaciones: Licenciaturas en Ciencias Químicas y en Ciencias Ambientales, e Ingeniería Técnica Industrial (Química Industrial). En estas asignaturas se han llevado a cabo diferentes Actividades Académicamente Dirigidas que han sido incorporadas en un Portafolios. Las encuestas de satisfación realizadas a los alumnos indican que éstos están bastantes satisfechos con el uso de estas herramientas de aprendizaje

‘Ciutat, territori i paisatge’ consta d’uns materials didàctics, formats per unes làmines de paisatges, un conjunt d’activitats didàctiques i un web interactiu, elaborats pel Departament de Política Territorial i Obres Públiques conjuntament amb el Departament d’ Educació i l’ Observatori del Paisatge i adreçat a estudiants d’educació secundària. A aplicação de tópicos de História da Química no processo de ensino e aprendizagem: dificuldades dos alunos

This research project aims to determine the main way that the inclusion of topics of history and philosophy of science education activities aimed at high school, influence the process of teaching and learning of chemistry. The subject of research will be a teacher, undergraduate student in chemistry and public school students that the teaching units developed will be applied. The literature presents a large of research indicating the need to include these topics in education and present the results of large withdrawals of original sources of the development of scientific knowledge. Despite of the large number of these works are not very common reports of application of the results of these studies on activities of the classroom, which reinforces the importance of this study

Considerações sobre a presença e características do tema água nas Propostas Curriculares para o ensino de Química/2009, do Estado de São Paulo

This study sought to raise the water issue is addressed in the teaching of chemistry in public schools through the notebooks Curricular Proposal of the State of Sao Paulo. First we tried to do a survey of knowledge related to construction of the concept of historical perspective, the physical and chemical properties, their importance to man and the particulars of the national curriculum for this subject. The methodology used was qualitative, descriptive and documentary. We analyzed the books for the first, second and third marking periods and the three series (the 4th book had not yet been distributed). As expected the first scenario, the proposed curriculum addresses the topic in greater depth in only one of the notebooks of the second year of high school. The approaches are no longer linked to health issues and the environment, cross-cutting issues considered by the NCP and important for students to make associations between the chemical content and their daily lives. We conclude that the contract should be evaluated by teachers and that their use should be involved in drawing up a plan that takes into account the aspects that seem incomplete. We also emphasize that although the proposal is interesting from the standpoint of teaching, teachers need training to its full use in the classroom

Student notes of Elijah Dunbar, 1792-1793

Three unlined pages with notes written by Harvard undergraduate Elijah Dunbar. The documents consist of two pages of chemistry notes compiled in September 1792 when Dunbar was a junior and an undated, untitled list of theological themes. The chemistry notes include a summary of the discipline and a set of laws regarding the "affinity of composition." The verso of the second page was later annotated: "Borrow- He that discerneth Youth & Beau[ty] Elij. Dunar 2'd 1793. Rec'd David Tappan, Professor of Divinity in the University--Elijah Dunbar, jun." followed by a list of students identified as "Alchemists" in the "Ridiculous Society": Joseph Perkins, Isaac Braman, William Biglow, and Elijah Dunbar. The second document is an untitled list of 27 theological themes beginning "1. Doctrine of the Trinity," and ending "27. Family worship," and may refer to sermon or lecture topics.

An evaluation of a curriculum response to the State of Florida mandate for computer literacy at a large comprehensive high school in Dade County, Florida

Minimum Student Performance Standards in Computer Literacy and Science were passed by the Florida Legislature through the Educational Reform Act of 1983. This act mandated that all Florida high school graduates receive training in computer literacy. Schools and school systems were charged with the task of determining the best methods to deliver this instruction to their students. The scope of this study is to evaluate one school's response to the state of Florida's computer literacy mandate. The study was conducted at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, located in Dade County, Florida. The administration of Miami Palmetto Senior High School chose to develop and implement a new program to comply with the state mandate - integrating computer literacy into the existing biology curriculum. The study evaluated the curriculum to determine if computer literacy could be integrated successfully and meet both the biology and computer literacy objectives. The findings in this study showed that there were no significant differences between biology scores of the students taking the integrated curriculum and those taking a traditional curriculum of biology. Student in the integrated curriculum not only met the biology objectives as well as those in the traditional curriculum, they also successfully completed the intended objectives for computer literacy. Two sets of objectives were successfully completed in the integrated classes in the same amount of time used to complete one set of objectives in the traditional biology classes. Therefore, integrated curriculum was the more efficient means of meeting the intended objectives of both biology and computer literacy.
