Automatic detection of PV systems failures from monitoring validated on 10,000 BIPV systems in Europe

The installers and owners show a growing interest in the follow-up of the performance of their photovoltaic (PV) systems. The owners are requesting reliable sources of information to ensure that their system is functioning properly, and the installers are actively looking for efficient ways of providing them the most useful possible information from the data available. Policy makers are becoming increasingly interested in the knowledge of the real performance of PV systems and the most frequent sources of problems that they suffer to be able to target the identified challenges properly. The scientific and industrial PV community is also requiring an access to massive operational data to pursue the technological improvements further.

Producción BCN200 : desarrollo del proceso de obtención de la base cartográfica nacional a escala 1:200.000 : detección, edición y resolución de conflictos cartográficos en la representación a escala.

Los objetivos propios del proyecto propuesto se centran en describir las fases necesarias del proceso de producción de la Base Cartográfica Nacional a escala 1:200.000, cuyo producto final es plasmado en un mapa cartográfico concreto; Mapa Provincial con la misma escala. Todas las tareas esenciales para su elaboración se realizan de acuerdo a la finalidad principal que persigue la creación de un mapa, que es la representación clara y concisa de los elementos geográficos que definen una extensión de territorio. Se pone de manifiesto las normas y reglas específicas que son necesarias para dicha producción, atendiendo las condiciones que presenta el modelo de la base de datos concreta, compuesto por la información válida con carácter oficial, ya que debe estar registrada por las instituciones del Estado, de forma que el conjunto de información sea la más adecuada a la realidad objetiva. Se siguen aquellas pautas referentes a la captura de los datos que componen dicho modelo, teniendo en cuenta la escala cartográfica a la que se representan y ciertas condiciones geométricas. Así como aquellas normas que guían los procesos de controles de calidad y generalización de la información geográfica. También, se establecen de forma fija la serie de estilos de representación de las geometrías componen el mapa, y la simbología utilizada para identificar las entidades definidas mediante elementos puntuales. Las reglas principales descritas son las concernientes a la edición de los conflictos cartográficos producidos a la hora de representar los datos reales. La BCN200 se crea con la finalidad principal de recopilar toda la información cartográfica que define el aspecto y el conjunto de detalles, tanto geográficos y naturales, como aquellos aportados por las construcciones realizadas por el ser humano, de la superficie terrestre que abarca el territorio nacional, con la finalidad de facilitar el desarrollo de tareas semiautomáticas para obtener una producción de diversas elaboraciones cartográficas, digitales o impresas.

Boston, Massachusetts Region 1:5,000 Color Ortho Imagery (1/2-meter Resolution), 2001

1/2-meter resolution 1:5,000 orthophoto image of the Boston region from April 2001. This datalayer is a subset (covering only the Boston region) of the Massachusetts statewide orthophoto image series available from MassGIS. It consists of 23 orthophoto quads mosaicked together (MassGIS orthophoto quad ID: 229890, 229894, 229898, 229902, 233886, 233890, 233894, 233898, 233902, 233906, 233910, 237890, 237894, 237898, 237902, 237906, 237910, 241890, 241894, 241898, 241902, 245898, 245902). These medium resolution true color images are considered the new "basemap" for the Commonwealth by MassGIS and the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA). MassGIS/EOEA and the Massachusetts Highway Department jointly funded the project. The photography for the mainland was captured in April 2001 when deciduous trees were mostly bare and the ground was generally free of snow. The geographic extent of this dataset is the same as that of the MassGIS dataset: Boston, Massachusetts Region LIDAR First Return Elevation Data, 2002 [see cross references].

AWI Bathymetric Chart of the Fram Strait (BCFS) (Scale 1:100,000)

Based on data from R/V Polarstern multibeam sonar surveys between 1984 and 1997 a high resolution bathymetry has been generated for the central Fram Strait. The area ensonified covers approx. 36,500 sqkm between 78°N - 80°N and 0°E - 7.5°E. Basic outcome of the investigation is a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) with 100 m grid spacing which was utilized for contouring and generation of a new series of bathymetric charts at a scale of 1:100,000, the AWI Bathymetric Chart of the Fram Strait (AWI BCFS).

Geological map of Heimefrontfjella, Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica (Scale 1:250,000)

The geological overview map was compiled from 15 geological maps (1 : 25,000) and is based on Jacobs et al. 1996. The topographic basemaps were adapted from unpublished 1:250,000 provisional topographic maps, Institut f. Angewandte Geodäsie, Frankfurt, 1983. Part of the contour lines are from Radarsat (Liu et al. 2001).
