The Urucuia Aquifer System represents a strategic water source in western Bahia. Its baseflow is responsible for the flow rate of the main tributaries of São Francisco river left bank in the dry season, including the Rio Grande, its main tributary in Bahia state. This river has a hydrological regime heavily affected by groundwater and is located in a region with conflicts about water resources. The aquifers geology is constituted by neocretacious sandstones of Urucuia Group subdivided in Posse Formation and Serra das Araras Formation. The embasement is formed by neoproterozoic rocks of Bambuí Group. This work focuses on an important tool application, the mathematical model, whose function is represent approximately and suitably the reality so that can assist in different scenarios simulations and make predictions. Many studies developed in this basin provided the conceptual model basis including a full free aquifer, lithological and hydraulical homogeneity in entire basin, null flux at plateau borders and aquifer base. The finite element method is the numerical method used and FEFLOW the computational algorithm. The simulated area was discretized in a single layer with 27.357,6 km² (314.432 elements and 320.452 nodes) totaling a 4.249,89 km³ volume. Were utilized 21 observation wells from CERB to calibrate the model. The terrain topography was obtained by SRTM data and the impermeable base was generated by interpolation of descriptive profiles from wells and electric vertical drilling from previous studies. Works in this area obtained mean recharge rates varying approximately from 20% to 25% of average precipitation, thus the values of model recharge zones varying in this range. Were distributed 4 hydraulic conductivity zones: (K1) west zone with K=6x10-5 m/s; (K2) center-east zone with K=3x10-4 m/s; (K3) far east zone with K=5x10-4 m/s; e (K4) east-north zone with K=1x10-5 m/s. The present work refers to graduation media with specialization in Public Relations and intends to observe the potential for social transformation present in the work of the Community public relations and critical development of the profession in a community, from the perspective of economics concepts creative. Specifically highlights this practice in the community and region of Bauru from observation and evaluation of the work done by the author for two and a half years in project Taquara extension, along with Project Bamboo, which has bamboo as a focus of study and its extension actions. Encompasses the perceptions of the author on existing work in the third sector challenges and observes the realization of a participatory planning process and creating a communication plan as a contribution to the growth of the project

Introduction: Bamboos belong to the family Graminae, Bambusoidae subfamily, represented by about 1,250 species worldwide. Originally employed in construction and power, are currently the subject of investigations related to its therapeutic properties in neoplasms. The main species used for therapeutic purposes based on popular knowledge are: Phyllostachys nigra; Bambusa breiflora; tuldoides Bambusa textilis and Bambusa. The literature on the therapeutic action of bamboo species is scarce, but recent studies report a promising effect in the treatment of cancer and other chronic diseases. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate qualitatively the phytochemical composition of plant extract obtained from the leaves of the bamboo species Bambusa textilis, comparing this composition from vegetable leaves with 18 and 24 months of age. Methodology: After collecting plant leaves with 18 or 24 months, they were identified and submitted to drying and milling. For qualitative analysis of its components were employed methods of macroscopic evaluation (mucilage), method of benzoin (resin), reaction Shinoda (flavonoids), reaction with gelatin solution (tannins), boiling and foaming (saponins) and jobs of reactive Wagner, Bertrand, Dragendorff, Mayer, picric acid and tannic acid (alkaloids) (Biavatti; MILK, 2007). Results: in the youngest leaves were found positive for alkaloids, flavonoids, resins and saponins. In the leaves of the plant with 24 months were found only alkaloids flavonoids and resins. Conclusion: the composition of vegetable substances were found associated with a significant therapeutic potential difference and the phytochemical composition in comparison with plant leaves 18 or 24 months. Additional studies are needed to quantify these components, as well as the clarification of its action in the fight against cancer and chronic diseases.

A produção de produtos derivados de madeira e bambu vem crescendo nos últimos anos na busca de um aproveitamento mais racional dessas matériasprimas. Este trabalho tem por finalidade, o estudo da aplicação de resíduos do processamento do café em um painel MDP. Os painéis MDP foram produzidos com partículas de bambu da espécie Dendrocalamus giganteus e adição de partículas de casca de café na camada intermediária do painel, unidas por resina poliuretana à base de mamona. A caracterização físico-mecânica foi realizada baseando-se nas especificações da NBR 14810-3 (2006). Os resultados obtidos foram comparados com a norma brasileira NBR 14810-2 (2006), resultando em valores próximos aos comercialmente encontrados.

O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar dois sistemas de tutoramento e condução de plantas na produtividade e seus componentes em híbridos de tomateiro dos segmentos Salada Longa Vida e Santa Cruz de crescimento indeterminado, visando ao consumo in natura. Adotou-se o delineamento em blocos ao acaso com os tratamentos em esquema fatorial 5x2, quatro repetições, sendo avaliados cinco híbridos comerciais, três pertencentes ao grupo Salada Longa Vida ('Alambra', 'Paron' e 'Forty') e dois do grupo Santa Cruz ('Débora Pto' e 'Ellus'), em dois sistemas de condução de plantas (bambu e fitilho). O experimento foi conduzido em condições de campo, em Itatiba (SP), de julho de 2007 a janeiro de 2008. Foram consideradas todas as plantas de cada parcela e avaliaram-se a produtividade total, produtividade comercial, produção por planta, massa média de frutos, número total de frutos, número de frutos comercializáveis, número de frutos das classes '3A', '2A' e '1A', número de frutos manchado e com lóculo aberto. Não houve interação entre cultivar e sistema de condução de planta para maioria das características avaliadas, exceto número total de frutos, número de frutos comercializáveis e número de frutos da classe '2A'. O sistema de condução de plantas com uma haste tutorada com fitilho proporcionou incremento na massa média de frutos e número de frutos da classe '3A', e decréscimo do número de frutos da classe '1A', sem reduzir a produtividade total e comercial quando comparado ao método de condução tradicional no bambu com duas hastes por planta.
