A Sancta Sapientia Medieval: enigma e mistério no teatro cristão de Rosvita de Ganderseheim

Within the scope of Literary Studies, theory, criticism, and historiography about the literature produced in the Middle Ages developed considerably from 1940 on, with the works of Ernst Curtius, Mikhail Bakhtin, and Erich Auerbach. In spite of the progress made, some specific aspects remain in the shadow, with incursions which were punctual though meaningful: that is the case of the critic fortunes about women‟s literary production in that period. Rosvita was a canoness and lived in the Benedictine convent of Gandersheim (Germany), in the 10th century A.D. Coming under Terence‟s influence, she wrote theater plays in Latin in which she figuratively presented theological issues in order to spread the Christian doctrine. The martyrdom issue deserved to be put in relief and was the focal point of the play Wisdom, which took place at the time of the Roman emperor Adrian. This paper analyzes that dramatic text discussing, at the end, how the categories of symbol, enigma, allegory, and mystery are organized by the author as expressive resources and structural elements.

Tendo como alegoria de análise das temporalidades da infância uma edição atual da clássica história Os três porquinhos, articulada com os dados coletados em minha pesquisa de doutorado sobre as relações etárias entre crianças pequenas em uma instituição de educação infantil pública, proponho a reflexão sobre a construção social das idades da infância no capitalismo em contraponto com as capacidades de sociabilidade e de produção das culturas infantis pelas meninas e meninos, menores e maiores no coletivo educativo.

A Caverna, o epicentro da sociedade consumista do séc. XX

A Caverna apresenta-se ao público como uma obra da literatura contemporânea de inspiração na alegoria platónica com o mesmo nome, em que Saramago esboça o mundo moderno, no qual o Homem é prisioneiro da sua ignorância. O autor tece uma dura crítica à sociedade contemporânea, através da escrita de um romance engajado, de reação contra o apocalipse cultural, o capitalismo desenfreado e a fragmentação racional da humanidade. Um romance recheado de personagens fictícias, no qual Saramago tenta, através de uma ótica popular, restituir à literatura, a sua tarefa de crítica do presente e das suas contradições. Através desta obra, o autor serve-se da luta pela sobrevivência, de uma tradicional e humilde família de oleiros, que se depara com uma situação de impotência perante uma sociedade de consumo que metaforiza a sociedade portuguesa atual.

O emprego do imalt como solução interpretativo-composicional em 3 obras autorais para violão

The task of expression undertaken by the performer falls largely on the right hand of guitarist. Aware of this fact, past and present masters have left their contributions to the development of right hand technique. It is clear, with rare exceptions, that educational and interpretative proposals, so far, have addressed the attack on the strings from the flexion of the fingers. This work, however, presents a technical resource called imalt, including in the attack action, the extension movement. Some techniques used in specific circumstances, such as the dedillo, the alzapúa, the tremulo and the rasgueado also use extension movements in the attack. They are put in perspective with the imalt providing a panoramic view of their individual characteristics. The use of imalt in the traditional guitar repertoire is exemplified in Villa Lobos, Ponce and Brouwer. Three pieces were composed for this work: Shravana, Alegoria and Vandana. Compositional techniques such as melodic contour applying and ostinato have been reviewed and used in the preparation of these compositions. A detailed record of compositional trajectory is presented. Therefore, the Model for the Compositional Process Accompaniment according Silva (2007) is used. Some events that have left the imalt in evidence are reported, as the launch and distribution of the Compact Disc (CD) Imalt, publishing scores and interviews. Finally is presented concluding comments, pointing possibilities opened up by this work.
