Destaca que pela nova carta, o comando do país fica nas mãos do Presidente da República. O Governo tem autonomia, para escolher seus ministros, sem interferências do congresso. O Legislativo será um poder forte. Foi criado um Conselho da República, um órgão que participará das grandes decisões nacionais, o qual terá oito representantes do congresso. O Sistema de Governo do Brasil poderá mudar em um prazo de cinco anos. Em plebiscito popular, o povo que decidirá se quer o Presidencialismo ou o Parlamentarismo, a população também vai optar pela, República ou Monarquia como forma de governo. A comissão de redação final analisa as 833 propostas dos constituintes, e as quase 300 sugestões do filólogo, Celso Cunha. As propostas visam melhorar a redação da nova carta, muita delas para acrescentar ou tirar vírgulas.

This translation includes selected passages of a longer paper on Mastigophora and Rhizopoda found in saline lakes Weissovo and Repnoie. The translation focuses on describing taxonomy and morphology of Ochromonas species and Pedinella. Plates and figures of the original paper are not included in the translation.

Systematic investigations of the distribution of pollen in stationary water bodies until now have hardly been conducted. For clarification of the problem of how the pollen of different plants which falls into a lake is deposited in relation to its physical properties, the character of the lake, wind currents and other factors, pollen analyses were carried out of surface samples of the bottom sediments of 13 Lithuanian lakes. Lakes were selected of different sizes (areas from 2333 ha. to 8 ha.) and different depths, not uniformly overgrown, situated in different physico-geographic regions of Lithuania. As a result of the investigation, it was established that in the surface layer of the sediments of the lakes of Lithuania pollen of woody species predominates.

Subsurface damage of Nd-doped phosphate glasses in optical fabrication

We present a destructive method for detecting and measuring subsurface damage of Nd-doped phosphate glasses. An instrument based on the dimple method - a destructive method - was developed. Subsurface damage depth produced in each fabrication procedure was obtained. We extend the surface roughness-subsurface damage relation to Nd-doped phosphate glasses. The constant ratio of subsurface damage and surface roughness was obtained as well. We also analyse the relation of abrasive size and subsurface damage experimentally. From a measurement of the surface roughness or abrasive size, one can obtain an accurate estimate of the damage layer thickness that must be eliminated by polishing or subsequent grinding operations. Contribution à l’étude du nannoplacton du leg 12, «sites» 118-119 (Ocean Atlantique)

This paper reports a Scanning Electron Microscopy study of some samples from the leg 12, Deep Sea Drilling Project, sites 118 and 119. The chronostratigraphic distribution, the frequency of the species identified and the datation of the samples studied are presented. In accordance with the calcareous nannofossil zonation proposed by E. MARTINI (1971) the samples from site 118 are ascribed to the Upper Miocene while the samples from site 119 are located between the Lower (NN1) and the Upper Miocene (NN10).
