The zygomatic-maxillary complex due to its projection framed as one of the areas hardest hit by injuries, as well as the nasal bones. Anaeróbios do complexo vermelho de Socransky e infecções bucais em pacientes com imunocomprometimento: características clínicas e prognóstico do tratamento

Os anaeróbios obrigatórios que compõem o complexo vermelho de Socransky são reconhecidos pelo seu envolvimento nas doenças periodontais humanas, mas em pacientes imunocomprometidos os mesmos parecem estar associados a quadros sépticos mais graves e de tratamento mais complexo. Esse estudo objetivou avaliar a ocorrência de Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg), Tannerella forsythia (Tf) e Treponema denticola (Td) no biofilme, mucosas e saliva de 160 pacientes HIV+, 5 pacientes leucêmicos, 50 pacientes submetidos à radioterapia para tratamento de câncer de cabeça e pescoço e sua correlação com sintomatologia clínica. Amostras de biofilme sub e supragengival, saliva e mucosas foram coletadas após a realização do exame clínico intrabucal. Após a extração do DNA, a detecção desses microrganismos era realizada por PCR. Esses patógenos foram detectados de todos os espécimes clínicos de pacientes com necrose de tecidos moles bucais. Nos pacientes HIV+, a frequência de detecção de Pg e Tf entre pacientes com periodontite foi 2,8 e 2,1 vezes mais elevada do que a observada nos indivíduos periodontalmente saudáveis. T. denticola foi detectado apenas nos sítios com necrose, supuração e perda óssea pronunciada. Pg e Tf se mostraram associados com perda óssea e sangramento gengival. A presença desses microrganismos esteve associada a odor fétido e dor, o que pode auxiliar o clínico na escolha de antimicrobianos como auxiliares do tratamento, devendo-se evitar o emprego de β-lactâmicos, podendo-se associar essas drogas ao metronidazol.

The question related to recyclable material has been pointed by environmental researchers as one of the most serious urban problems today. Therefore, the importance of disclosure and clarification related to recycling techniques is highlighted, as well as a critical and extensive reflection related to the cultural values of society about current economic rationality that prioritizes a unlimited consumerism. We conducted a survey in the city of Bauru and asked how often people separated recyclable materials for selective collection. We found that 18% of these people have never performed this type of activity. Thus we emphasize the importance of art in creating alternative ways of dealing with the recyclable material, that involves social, economic and cultural needs of a population; contributing to preserve the environment such as the creation of a new rationality.

Os conceitos de ambiente, meio ambiente e natureza no contexto da temática ambiental: definindo significados

We present some clarifications that enable us to identify differences between the expressions nature, the environment and environment. This is not an epistemological approach, but rather reflections on these expressions refer and the implications for environmental issues and hence to Science Teaching. The nature was understood as a complex of real entities, which are capable to be thinking through perception. This same entity when is represented by a mind, become what we call the environment. This expression, in turn, is characterized not only by adding the environments species that are known, but to be a human abstraction. When we consider the uniqueness of each species and organism, which in this environment is inserted, we call environment, this is, the elements that can be seen and on which the organism can act. Thus, we seek to develop a concept broader of environment, which is not restricted to the human species.

Em seguida, levando em consideração todo o apanhado realizado, e pautado em referências teórico-projetuais, se desenvolve um projeto de intervenção visando a recuperação de parte desse conjunto arquitetônico industrial de forma a garantir sua preservação, sua utilização e sua história pra toda comunidade

This is the landscape rehabilitation of a quarry off in the city of Laranjal Paulista, the state of São Paulo, which poses environmental and underutilization problems as the area abandonment of consequences. Based on regional diagnostics, urban and landscape study, the project in question is divided into three main areas: environmental recovery, offering public facilities and leisure proposition to adventure tourism. A continuidade contemporânea do pensamento de Georg Simmel: a compreensão da dinâmica conflitiva e dos fluxos nos processos de individualização na primeira modernidade e suas consequências sócio-culturais na modernidade reflexiva de Ulrich Beck

This thesis attempts to comprehend, through the work of Georg Simmel and Ulrich Beck, two distinct phases of modernity through the concept of individualism and individualization processes arising therefrom. A substantial formulation of the concept that remits to the conceptual transposition unscathed from one reality to another is not the main focus of this study. This is about, in advance, two distinct realities, conceptual and comparative examination that aims to weave the points pertaining to echoes - internalized and modified according to the complexity of the historical premises - the thought of Simmel in theoretical perspective of Beck. The forms can be characterized as individualism according to the socio-philosophical mores of Simmel in the intention to understand the forms assumed by individualism in modern history, as well as the derived individualization processes sustained by individual law. Therewith, is intended to transpose the optical analysis of contemporary Ulrich Beck and reap, through conceptual analysis, the points that refer to the influence and continuity of thought of Georg Simmel
