Geografia e consumo: dinâmicas sociais e a produção do espaço urbano

As reflexões elaboradas nesta pesquisa se preocuparam em abordar o consumo como categoria de análise geográfica e, por meio de seu entendimento, compreender os principais impactos na produção do espaço urbano, na atualidade. Observadas as metrópoles de São Paulo, Lisboa, Seoul e Dubai, construiu-se um pensamento que considera a metrópole como espaço-sedutor. Nesta investigação, elaborou-se uma leitura das paisagens do consumo nas referidas metrópoles e várias foram as contradições encontradas nas relações de consumo e na produção do espaço urbano, e para debatê-las foi essencial o uso do método dialético. O reconhecimento das articulações entre a produção, a circulação, o comércio e o consumo, dentro do processo de generalização da mercadoria, também ganhou importância neste estudo. Ao final da pesquisa procurou-se abordar o consumo como dimensão social da questão ambiental, e assim outros conflitos foram apontados, entre eles a existência de uma geografia da felicidade paradoxal e a emergente necessidade de se minimizarem os impactos ambientais do consumo

A pesquisa em educação ambiental nos EPEAs (2001- 2007): natureza dos trabalhos, contextos educacionais e focos temáticos

O emergente campo da pesquisa em educação ambiental (EA) no Brasil traz anecessidade de uma sistematização dessa produção a fim de identificar econfigurar aspectos desse novo campo do conhecimento. O presente trabalhovisa contribuir nessa direção a partir da análise dos trabalhos apresentados nosEncontros de Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEAs). Os resultadosapontam a predominância de trabalhos de natureza empírica em relação aos denatureza teórica e reflexiva e de trabalhos relacionados a contextos educacionaisescolares em relação a contextos não escolares, sendo os níveis escolaresfundamental e médio os mais presentes. Em relação aos trabalhos de naturezateórica e reflexiva, há predominância dos fundamentos teóricos e metodológicosda EA como foco temático. Já entre os trabalhos de natureza empírica, oprincipal foco temático é o desenvolvimento de projetos, programas e práticas emcontextos escolares ou não escolares. Há ainda um número bastante significativode trabalhos com contextos educacionais não específicos, nos quais predominamcomo focos temáticos os processos formativos e as concepções de professores eeducadores. Aspectos referentes à avaliação dos trabalhos submetidos aos EPEAstambém são destacados neste artigo.

Testes tonais de padrão de frequência e duração no Brasil: revisão de literatura

Este estudo tem como tema o teste de padrão de frequência e de duração no Brasil e como objetivo revisar e explanar sobre a avaliação do processamento auditivo temporal no Brasil, mais especificamente sobre os testes tonais de ordenação temporal (teste de padrão de frequência e duração). Para atingir tal objetivo foi realizado um trabalho de revisão sistemática da literatura em periódicos nacionais, acessados eletronicamente na base de dado Scielo e Lilacs, sem restrição ao ano de publicação. A pesquisa foi estruturada por meio dos descritores: processamento temporal, processamento auditivo temporal, testes temporais, testes tonais de padrão de frequência e testes tonais de padrão de duração, percepção auditiva e testes auditivos. A pesquisa retornou 33 publicações nacionais sendo 28 artigos de periódicos, uma dissertação de mestrado e quatro teses de doutorado. Com isso, pode-se perceber que a utilização de testes que avaliem a habilidade de ordenação temporal no Brasil é recente, sendo notável o aumento significante das publicações nos últimos cinco anos. Desta forma, o emergente conhecimento possibilitado pelo acesso aos testes no Brasil permite ampliar um campo de pesquisa a todos os profissionais comprometidos com este tema.

Biologia pulpar: da agressão à reparação

The study of the dental pulp can be extended from factors related to its aggression to those related to new concepts of regeneration. The purpose of this compilation of studies is to present the evolution of a research subject from damage to repair. Innitially, studies will demonstrate the ability of dental procedures to generate heat and consequently affect the dental pulp. In sequence, studies will also present some effects of different pulp capping materials on dental pulp cells, related to the cytotoxicity of these materials and inflammatory potential. Finally, as the subject is emmerging and gaining importance in the literature, this compilation will present data from recent studies on the role of dental pulp progenitor cells in the regeneration and repair of dental pulp, as well as an alternative for a scaffold that could be used for clinical translation of research in the field. In summary, dentists must be aware of these different aspects and that the knowledge on factors and mechanisms involved in the aggression of the dental pulp can also serve as basis for understanding aspects for regeneration.

Relações públicas e marketing turístico: atuando pela imagem do Brasil

This study presents an analysis of International Tourism, one of the most growing economic activities in the world. To realize promotion in this area, countries use diverse strategies, among them the touristic marketing. It consists on an instrument used to attract foreign tourists and build the image of the country as a touristic destination, transforming it into a global emergent leader. Due to the big sports events which will happen in Brazil, the World Cup and the Olympic Games, respectively, it is expected a growth on touristic activities. This is an opportunity to promote the country and build its image, the reason why the Federal Government made Plano Aquarela 2020, formed by a strategic plan which aims the international promotion of the country through a marketing program focused on the international tourist. What this image is and how to promote it are issues that the public relations professionals are capable to solve, with their abilities to develop instruments and their important actions to build a good touristic destination image of the country. This study aims to analyze the collaboration of public relations to improve the country's image from the actions developed by Plano Aquarela 2020. For this, a literature search was performed to expose the concepts of communication involved, the analysis of the plan and their actions, use the interview as an exploratory study to clarify information and stimulate new ideas

Influência do herbicida Glifosato (N-Fosfonometil)Glicina) na formação de biomassa da alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (Chlorophyceae)

Herbicides are chemical agents most consumed for agricultural production and of these, glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl) glycine) represents more than half of world consumption of non-selective herbicides, use of systemic action and post-emergent. The present study aims to analyze the interference of different concentrations of glyphosate in the development of micro algae, unicellular species Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, with supplementary analysis of the interference of green algae concentrations in the artificial lake Instituto de Biociências Universidade Estadual Paulista in Rio Claro, SP. To identify the effect of glyphosate on the development of microalgae concentrations: 0.118; 0.236; 0.472; 0.944; 1.888 and 3.776 mg of product (all in rejoinders), maintaining control without glyphosate, were inoculated into flasks containing 150mL of medium culture and 5mL of suspension inoculum levels. Each test was continued for 96 hours in a shaker rotating at 150 rpm at 25 / - 2 ° C and constant light of 3200 lux. At baseline and 48; 72 and 96 hours samples were taken for testing for absorbance. The final dry weight was measured and the tests with P. subcapitata cell number was quantified at the beginning and end of the tests using the Neubauer chamber under optical microscope. For algae of the artificial lake of the diversity of microalgae cells was identified through photographic documentation. The analysis of variance comparing treatments for dry biomass showed no significant differences in the tests with P. subicapitata as for the algae to the lake.The analysis of variance MANOVA showed significant differences between the treatments over time but there was no significant difference between the interactions of treatment for tests with P. subicapitata There were significant differences in the tests with microalgae of the artificial lake. Um mundo radicalmente melhor: criatividade, colaboração e padrão de redes como estratégias para o desenvolvimento sustentável

There are substantial evidences that the period experienced by humanity globally is unprecedented and is heading towards a major transformation that results from the Globalization. Totally conditioned to the addictions of the dominant and predatory capitalism, humanity has, for decades, exhausted natural resources, disregarded the nature of its own social existence and walked away from its humanity. It is notable, however, an impressive flow of factors that dialogue and support each other as trends that go towards sustainable development, based on the harmonious integration between Technology, Culture, Society, Environment and Economy. This emerging moment can be seen from the perspectives of the Creative Economy as economic paradigm centered on the subjectivity and the human capacity to undertake innovative services, products and solutions guided by social values. Within this fluid and dynamic global context, initiatives that legitimately intend to act sustainably are gaining space. This socioeconomic moment fosters and is fostered by new kinds of work and organization guided by the Collaboration and social structuring on Network Patterns. These new social models significantly transform the understanding and insights about the Communication flows. The HUB São Paulo, as creative and social organization that operates under the logic of Collaboration through a Network Structure, was the subject of a case study used to sustain the defense of this emerging scenario and also to perform an analysis on the new role of Communication, at perspectives of transformation of mental paradigms towards sustainability and establishment of meaningful connections

Leishmaniose visceral: situação atual e controle

In Brazil, the importance of leishmaniosis it is seen in its high incidence and huge distribution, as well as the possibility of became a lethal disease. It´s a zoonosis of canids, felines, rodents e marsupials, that is transmitted to men through vector bugs. Visceral leishmaniosis, the most serious and prevalent form, strongly became as an emergent and endemic disease, seeing in many Brazilian states, also bringing a lot of problems to public health. Because of this, it´s notable that the increase of urbanization in the last 20 years put in quest all the control strategies existent, the measures implanted until today were incapable to eliminate the transmission as to impede the occurrence of new epidemics. The prevention of dogs through imunoprophylaxis appear as an alternative, however to have a safe use it´s needed other studies, that can bring real results. The research below shows the increase of visceral leishmaniosis during the years, associated mainly to human cases, besides of dismember the tries used or that will be used with objective of dicrease the spread of leishmaniosis
