Jordan & Anderson, architects. Built 1863. Northwest corner of Diagonal on corner of State and North University. Served as Law School for sixty years; contained chapel until 1873 and library until 1883. Addition built in 1893 included tower.

Shaw was General Secretary of the Alumni Association, 1904-1029; Director of the Bureau of Alumni relations, 1929 -1950. He was both editor and illustrator of the Michigan Alumnus and Michigan Alumnus Quarterly Review.

Law Quadrangle of the University of Michigan

York and Sawyer, architects. Given to the university by William W. Cook, the four buildings comprising the Law Quadrangle with their construction dates are: the Lawyers Club, 1924; the John P. Cook Dormitory, 1930; the Legal Research Building, 1931, and Hutchins Hall, 1933. The Legal Research Building includes the original library. Stamp on verso: Michigan Tourist Council Photo; Lansing, Michigan; no. 810-28. Second stamp on verso: Transferred to Historical Commission Archives

University of Michigan Hospital

Founded in 1869, this facility was America's first "University Hospital." The 1,000-bed general hospital, with its 200-bed children's hospital (C.S. Mott Hospital at right of picture), is the heart of a vast health complex which includes School of Medicine, Nursing and Public Health... plus research facilities.
