The present invention comprises composites with multifunctional characteristics, being capable of substituting glass, with significant advantages, with particular emphasis on flexibility, for a variety of applications such as, for example, display screens and others. Among other aspects, the product that constitutes the object of the invention is particularly characterized by rendering bacterial cellulose transparent, in addition to being flexible, biocompatible and able to replace glass in 100% of possible applications. Among other aspects, the development of the composites according to the present invention allows an effective increase in optical transmission, enabling an optical transmission of more than 90%, such transparency being necessary, equally, for the development of medical devices, for example.

Corporate governance can be understood as management mechanisms that through external and internal controls are going to reduce the distance between minority stakeholders and the control power of the company. In that context, the information management, the information mediation and the information dissemination is very necessary, because the establishment of the good communication, quick, clear and voluntary, in order to establish a confidence climate in the relation of the company with the society, creditors, and collaborators especially with investors. In Brazil, the model created by the stock exchange of São Paulo called of new market , brings in his additional conduct rules purpose to them required by the Brazilian legislation and possessed like base the equity in the handling between part, the transparency in the disclosure of information and responsibility in the installment count. This article presents some considerations about the model of information management and accountability based on legal criteria, in additional standards of information disclosure, and the information mediation process relationship the corporate governança in the business environment.

Desenvolvimento e caracterização de formulação cosmética contendo nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio para proteção solar

O protetor solar é um produto extremamente importante para proteger a pele da radiação ultravioleta proveniente do sol e capaz de reduzir a incidência de câncer de pele. Os filtros solares são divididos em orgânicos e inorgânicos e, dentre os inorgânicos, se encontra o TiO2 que atua refletindo, espalhando e absorvendo as radiações UV, além de ser fotoestável e de baixo potencial de irritabilidade dérmica. Neste trabalho foram desenvolvidas formulações cosméticas em forma de gel contendo nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio capazes de agir como fotoprotetores físicos e que mantem a transparência ao serem aplicados sobre uma superfície, como a pele. Foram desenvolvidos xerogéis a base de nanopartículas de TiO2 com tamanho e superfície controlados. A partir dessas nanopartículas foi possível preparar formulações cosméticas contendo nanopartículas redispersas de xerogéis a base de TiO2. Esses sistemas foram avaliados por testes de citotoxicidade e foi obtido um resultado favorável para a continuidade da pesquisa, sugerindo o uso deste material em humanos sem causar danos. Foram feitas as caracterizações físico químicas e estruturais. A análise de FPS indicou amplo espectro da formulação, o potencial zeta mostrou que é possível evitar aglomerações das nanopartículas em pHs utilizados para formulações tópicas, a reologia demonstrou que as formulações apresentam comportamento de recuperação da consistência e organização do material inicial após seu desarranjo durante o cisalhamento. As caracterizações serviram para obter um conhecimento da estrutura química e física das amostras que contém as nanopartículas de dióxido de titânio, para que seja possível fazer uma análise crítica e melhor qualificar o protetor solar desenvolvido.

Paralelização de algoritmos de trimap utilizando a arquitetura Cuda

Techniques of image combination, with extraction of objects to set a final scene, are very used in applications from photos montages to cinematographic productions. These techniques are called digital matting. With them is possible to decrease the cost of productions, because it is not necessary for the actor to be filmed in the location where the final scene occurs. This feature also favors its use in programs made to digital television, which demands a high quality image. Many digital matting algorithms use markings done on the images, to demarcate what is the foreground, the background and the uncertainty areas. This marking is called trimap, which is a triple map containing these three informations. The trimap is done, typically, from manual markings. In this project, methods were created that can be used in digital matting algorithms, with restriction of time and without human interaction, that is, the creation of an algorithm that generates the trimap automatically. This last one can be generated from the difference between a color of an arbitrary background and the foreground, or by using a depth map. It was also created a matting method, based on the Geodesic Matting (BAI; SAPIRO, 2009), which has an inferior processing time then the original one. Aiming to improve the performance of the applications that generates the trimap and of the algorithms that generates the alphamap (map that associates a value to the transparency of each pixel of the image), allowing its use in applications with time restrictions, it was used the CUDA architecture. Desafios da comunicação na gestão da sustentabilidade ambiental das organizações contemporâneas

The present production aims to approach environmental sustainability and communication to demonstrate that the public relations´s professional is capable of legitimation process´s assistance of ethics and coherent speechs and capable of sense´s construction´s assistance for environmental sustainability on contemporary organizations. This position shows that organization´s consistent speechs are connected with its institutional mission and effort besides, it is value and sensitive to interested parts that emphasis the environmental preservation and environmental project´s introduction, integrating organization with community. On this context it is constructed a discussion about Sustainability Report´s content and guidelines used for sustainability reporting framework, as where as main environmental organizational activities, analyzing three different companies and its respective Sustainability Reports on 2009. Thereby, it is pointed out relevance of efficient communication which deal with opposite interests between organizations and its stakeholders so that public relations focus on strategic management trying to include negotiation, dialogue, transparency and ethics to line up both interests
