Aquest treball s'ha desenvolupat sota la plataforma .NET 2.0 i consisteix en l'anàlisi, disseny i implementació d'una aplicació web per a gestionar el servei de gestió acadèmica d'un centre de formació o acadèmia.

En aquest projecte s'han desenvolupat tecnologies d'avantguarda, com ara la plataforma J2EE de Sun Microsystems i Jakarta Tomcat de Apache, totes de reconegut prestigi en la comunitat OpenSource. No s'han d'oblidar tampoc totes les que fan d'aquest projecte una solució professional, com ara XHTML o JavaScript.

El projecte de Gestió acadèmica d'un centre de formació consisteix en la planificació, l'anàlisi, el disseny i la implementació per oferir un producte final integral vàlid que sigui capaç de gestionar el negoci d'un centre de formació.

Llenguatges de consulta en l'àmbit de la Web Semàntica : Cas d'estudi SPARQL

El projecte es basa en estudiar i avaluar diferents sistemes gestors de bases de dades (SGBD) per desar informació dins del context de la Web Semàntica., tal com es veurà en el capítol 4. La Web Semàntica permet dotar de significat al contingut textual de la web, permetent que sigui interpretable per una màquina.

Aquest Projecte de Final de Carrera consisteix en estudiar el format dels fitxers OpenOffice i extreure'n certa informació continguda en els documents per satisfer una necessitat plantejada per la recentment constituïda Agencia Catalana de Seguretat, mitjançant una eina de software creada per a tal fi.

Generació automàtica de l'esquema de bases de dades objectes-relacional d'una aplicació a partir del seu diagrama de dades

L'objectiu d'aquest projecte de fi de carrera és obtenir una aplicació en llenguatge JAVA amb capacitat de generar, a partir d'un diagrama de classes, la representació corresponent en un esquema d'una base de dades orientada a objectes Oracle 9i.

20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010 to 2030 Progress Report: July 2013 - Sept 2014

DES has commenced a review of education in the Gaeltacht with a view to identifying options for educational provision in primary and post-primary schools in Gaeltacht areas of varying linguistic profiles as well as clarifying the Department’s policy with regard to teaching through Irish in such schools. The review will also look at the impact of pre-school provision on primary education in Gaeltacht areas. Furthermore, the review will identify support measures for teachers’ practice that would be required to improve teaching through Irish in Gaeltacht schools. This review will complement the implementation of the Gaeltacht Act 2012.

20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language 2010-2030

The objective of Government policy in relation to Irish is to increase on an incremental basis the use and knowledge of Irish as a community language. Specifically, the Government’s aim is to ensure that as many citizens as possible are bilingual in both Irish and English. It is an integral component of the Government’s Irish language policy that close attention be given to its place in the Gaeltacht, particularly in light of research which indicates that the language’s viability as a household and community language in the Gaeltacht is under threat. The aim of Government policy is also to: increase the number of families throughout the country who use Irish as the daily language of communication; provide linguistic support for the Gaeltacht as an Irish-speaking community and to recognise the issues which arise in areas where Irish is the household and community language; ensure that in public discourse and in public services the use of Irish or English will be, as far as practical, a choice for the citizen to make and that over time more and more people throughout the State will choose to do their business in Irish; and ensure that Irish becomes more visible in our society, both as a spoken language by our citizens and also in areas such as signage and literature

Development of a National English Language Policy and Framework for Legally Resident Adult Immigrants - Horwath Report

The Office of the Minister for Integration (OMI), in conjunction with the Department of Education and Science (DES), commissioned an independent review to assist in the development of a national English Language policy and framework for legally-resident adult immigrants. Horwath Consulting Ireland, in association with Rambll Management and Matrix Knowledge Group, were awarded the contract to undertake this assignment. The terms of reference for the assignment state that: “proposed future developments will be governed by a clear strategy which reflects the importance of English language tuition in overall integration objectives and which addresses key coordination, technical, funding and service-delivery issues."

Creació d'un programari per la transformació de dades

L'objectiu d'aquest TFC ha estat crear un programari que permeti transformacions ràpides de gran volums de dades. Cada procés de transformació hauria de dependre d'un conjunt de regles de transformació preestablertes per subconjunts de dades, de manera que el procés fos repetible i verificable per a poder garantir la qualitat dels processos de transformació; les regles de transformació s'haurien de poder especificar de manera fàcil i pràctica per a usuaris sense coneixements de programació; les transformacions possibles haurien de cobrir requeriments derivats de la neteja, la transformació i la formatació de dades en els nivells de taula, registre i camp, i per a cada subconjunt de dades i regles de transformació inicials, que constitueixen l'entrada, el programari hauria de retornar el corresponent subconjunt de dades transformades.

Sitema de gestión de un centro de formación con .NET 2005 (SIGENET)

El projecte consisteix en l'arquitectura d'una solució Web aplicada a la gestió d'un centre de formació basat en una arquitectura fàcil de modificar i ampliar, per tenir en consideració la comoditat en l'adaptació de l'aplicació a qualsevol centre de formació mitjançant els mínims canvis pertinents. El sistema que s'ha implementat rep el nom de SIGENET.

Avaluació de SQL : 1999 respecte les característiques orientades a objectes que suporta i la seva implementació en sistemes de gestió de Bases de Dades

El treball realitzat analitza la manera com l'estàndard SQL:1999 ha incorporat a la seva especificació una sèrie de característiques pròpies de la tecnologia d'orientació a l'objecte. D'aquesta manera, l'estàndard mira de proporcionar als sistemes de gestió de bases de dades algunes de les funcionalitats exigides als sistemes de tercera generació. Aquests sistemes han d'incorporar altres característiques, que estan recollides a l'article Third Generation Database System Manifesto.
