OBJETIVO: Relatar os aspectos na tomografia computadorizada de alta resolução de diversas doenças que cursam com o padrão tomográfico de "pavimentação em mosaico". MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: Foram estudados sete pacientes, com diagnósticos de proteinose alveolar, carcinoma bronquíolo-alveolar, pneumonia lipídica e pneumocistose, e é discutida a correlação dos aspectos tomográficos com os achados anatomopatológicos. RESULTADOS: Nos casos de pneumocistose, os espaços alveolares estavam cheios de material espumoso, no qual eram encontrados parasitas de permeio a surfactante, fibrina e restos celulares. Nos casos de carcinoma bronquíolo-alveolar, os septos estavam espessados por fibrose ou por linfangite associada, com células tumorais revestindo internamente as paredes alveolares, e produção de muco. No paciente com proteinose alveolar foram observados septos espessados por edema, com enchimento alveolar determinado por material lipoproteico. No paciente com aspiração de óleo mineral, os achados histopatológicos foram de espessamento dos septos alveolares determinado por proliferação celular, observando-se vacúolos de gordura no interior dos septos alveolares. CONCLUSÃO: O padrão de pavimentação em mosaico oferece um amplo diagnóstico diferencial, necessitando ser avaliado em conjunto com os dados clínicos.

OBJETIVO: Caracterizar, por meio da tomografia computadorizada de alta resolução, as principais alterações pulmonares da histiocitose de células de Langerhans. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: Foram avaliadas, retrospectivamente, as tomografias computadorizadas de alta resolução de oito pacientes com diagnóstico comprovado da doença a partir de biópsia pulmonar a céu aberto, biópsia transbrônquica, estudos de imuno-histoquímica e/ou lesões extrapulmonares associadas. RESULTADOS: Pequenas lesões císticas, arredondadas e de paredes finas foram observadas em todos os pacientes. Nódulos, com distribuição predominantemente periférica no parênquima pulmonar, estavam presentes em 75% dos exames estudados. As lesões apresentaram distribuição difusa, com predomínio nos terços superior e médio dos pulmões em todos os casos, mas acometimento dos recessos costofrênicos foi observado em 25% dos pacientes. CONCLUSÃO: A comparação das tomografias computadorizadas de alta resolução com radiografias de tórax mostrou que cistos de paredes finas e pequenos nódulos não podem ser avaliados satisfatoriamente por radiografias convencionais. A tomografia computadorizada de alta resolução, por sua capacidade de detectar e caracterizar cistos e nódulos pulmonares, permite o diagnóstico de histiocitose de células de Langerhans pulmonar com alta probabilidade.

L’ensenyament i aprenentatge a través de l’art en el context escolar ha estat motiu de preocupació per a molts investigadors des de fa dècades. En aquesta línia, el Centre de Recursos Pedagògics d’Osona i el Centre d’Arts Contemporànies de Vic van impulsar ara fa tres anys el projecte Art i Escola, el qual pretén donar valor i reconeixement a l’aprenentatge mitjançant les arts plàstiques que realitzen diverses escoles a partir d’una temàtica comuna, enguany, La Xarxa. Aquest estudi parteix del desig de conèixer i aprofundir en una proposta artística elaborada conjuntament pels alumnes de 6è de primària d’una escola ordinària amb tots els alumnes d’una escola d’educació especial. Així doncs, el següent estudi de cas s’ha portat a terme tot indagant en la pràctica a través de les arts plàstiques que han realitzat les dues escoles.

En aquesta investigació qualitativa s’ha fet un estudi sobre la possibilitat d’incloure a un infant amb paràlisi cerebral en una escola ordinària. Per fer-ho, s’ha treballat a partir de l’estudi de cas d’un infant concret escolaritzat en un centre d’educació espacial. S’ha realitzat un anàlisi de la realitat d’aquest centre, l’Arboç, i de dos centres on les investigadores han realitzat l’estada de pràctiques, a l’escola Camí del Mig i a la Llàntia. Els instruments utilitzats al llarg del procés de recerca han estat les entrevistes, les graelles d’observació, el diari de camp i l’anàlisi de documents dels centres. Aquests s’han complementat amb una observació directa i participant a les escoles esmentades. La conclusió obtinguda després d’haver realitzat tot el procés d’investigació, és que la inclusió d’aquest infant no seria possible en els dos centres ordinaris estudiats, ja que seria necessari introduir un seguit de canvis a nivell d’infraestructures, metodologia, organització i de recursos humans i materials.

O objetivo desta revisão é fornecer auxílio na interpretação correta do espessamento das paredes da vesícula biliar e seus possíveis diagnósticos diferenciais. O espessamento da vesícula biliar é um achado frequente em exame de ultrassonografia e um tema de grande interesse, por ter sido considerado durante muito tempo como sinal específico de colecistite aguda, apesar de se reconhecer que ocorre em uma série de outras situações clínicas. A adequada caracterização e interpretação desse achado é de grande importância, pois o diagnóstico correto tem impacto direto no tratamento, que em alguns casos inclui intervenção cirúrgica. Neste artigo procuramos apresentar um conjunto de sinais ultrassonográficos que, associados ao quadro clínico e laboratorial do paciente, permitem restringir as alternativas diagnósticas e estabelecer, com maior precisão, a causa do espessamento parietal da vesícula biliar, através de uma avaliação racional dos dados obtidos.

Massive protostars have associated bipolar outflows with velocities of hundreds of km s-1. Such outflows can produce strong shocks when they interact with the ambient medium leading to regions of nonthermal radio emission. Aims. We aim at exploring under which conditions relativistic particles are accelerated at the terminal shocks of the protostellar jets and whether they can produce significant gamma-ray emission. Methods. We estimate the conditions necessary for particle acceleration up to very high energies and gamma-ray production in the nonthermal hot spots of jets associated with massive protostars embedded in dense molecular clouds. Results. We show that relativistic bremsstrahlung and proton-proton collisions can make molecular clouds with massive young stellar objects detectable by the Fermi satellite at MeV-GeV energies and by Cherenkov telescope arrays in the GeV-TeV range. Conclusions. Gamma-ray astronomy can be used to probe the physical conditions in star-forming regions and particle acceleration processes in the complex environment of massive molecular clouds.

El present treball té com a objectiu l’anàlisi i la conceptualització dels diferents tipus de conflictes empresarials i dels diferents mètodes existents a l’ordenament jurídic per a resoldrel’s. A continuació, s’estudien els Mètodes Alternatius de Resolució de Conflictes (MASC), també coneguts en els països anglosaxons com a Alternative Dispute Resolutions (ADR), com a procediments alterns a la justícia ordinària per a resoldre conflictes i controvèrsies en seu empresarial, aprofundint en les tècniques de la negociació i de la mediació empresarials, i realitzant un estudi especial de la conflictologia empresarial més freqüent susceptible de ser resolta mitjantçant la mediació. Per últim, s’estudien els conflictes societaris, especialment en les societats de capital, així com els mecanismes admesos en Dret per a prevenir-los i evitar-los, amb la finalitat de facilitar una gestió adient del conflicte i simplificar-ne la seva solució. Tenint en compte la rellevància que l’empresa familiar té en la nostra economia, es realitza una anàlisi exahustiva de les seves principals característiques, i del protocol familiar com a instrument idoni per a ajudar a millorar el funcionament de l’empresa familiar i a reduïr-ne el potencial de conflicte.

Abstract INTRODUCTION: Previous studies have described improvements on lipid parameters when switching from other antiretroviral drugs to tenofovir (TDF) and impairments in lipid profile when discontinuing TDF. [1-3] It is unknown, however, if TDF has an intrinsic lipid-lowering effect or such findings are due to the addition or removal of other offending agents or other reasons. MATERIALS AND METHODS: RESULTS: 46 subjects with a median age of 43 (40-48) years were enrolled in the study: 70% were male, 56% received DRV/r and 44% LPV/r. One subject withdrew the study voluntarily at week 4 and another one interrupted due to diarrhoea at week 24. Treatment with TDF/FTC decreased total, LDL and HDL-cholesterol from 235.9 to 204.9 (p<0.001), 154.7 to 127.6 (p<0.001) and 50.3 to 44.5 mg/dL (p<0.001), respectively. In comparison, total, LDL and HDL-cholesterol levels remained stable during placebo exposure. Week 12 total cholesterol (p<0.001), LDL-cholesterol (p<0.001) and HDL-cholesterol (p=0.011) levels were significantly lower in TDF/FTC versus placebo. Treatment with TDF/FTC reduced the fraction of subjects with abnormal fasting total-cholesterol (≥200 mg/dL) from 86.7% to 56.8% (p=0.001) and LDL-cholesterol (≥130 mg/dL) from 87.8% to 43.9% (p<0.001), which was not observed with placebo. There were no virological failures, and CD4 and triglyceride levels remained stable regardless of exposure. CONCLUSION: Coformulated TDF/FTC has an intrinsic lipid-lowering effect, likely attributable to TDF.

Amb aquest treball es pretén comprovar, si l’aplicació d’un conjunt d’activitats dirigides a treballar les emocions, millora les habilitats socials dels alumnes d’Educació Infantil. En primer lloc, es presenta un marc teòric basat en les aportacions i els descobriments de diferents autors sobre diversos aspectes relacionats amb les emocions i, sobre la importància de crear un bon clima dins d’una aula. Posteriorment es presenta el desenvolupament de les activitats que s’han posat en pràctica a l’aula. Per últim, es fa un anàlisi de les dades recollides en aquest estudi i se’n mostren els resultats i les conclusions que s’han extret.

Here we discuss two consecutive MERLIN observations of the X-ray binary LS I +61° 303 . The first observation shows a double-sided jet extending up to about 200 AU on both sides of a central source. The jet shows a bent S-shaped structure similar to the one displayed by the well-known precessing jet of SS 433 . The precession suggested in the first MERLIN image becomes evident in the second one, showing a one-sided bent jet significantly rotated with respect to the jet of the day before. We conclude that the derived precession of the relativistic (beta=0.6) jet explains puzzling previous VLBI results. Moreover, the fact that the precession is fast could be the explanation of the never understood short term (days) variability of the associated gamma-ray source 2CG 135+01 / 3EG J0241+6103

We present Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) observations of the high mass X-ray binary LS I +61˚303, carried out with the European VLBI Network (EVN). Over the 11 hour observing run, performed ~10 days after a radio outburst, the radio source showed a constant flux density, which allowed sensitive imaging of the emission distribution. The structure in the map shows a clear extension to the southeast. Comparing our data with previous VLBI observations we interpret the extension as a collimated radio jet as found in several other X-ray binaries. Assuming that the structure is the result of an expansion that started at the onset of the outburst, we derive an apparent expansion velocity of 0:003 c, which, in the context of Doppler boosting, corresponds to an intrinsic velocity of at least 0:4 c for an ejection close to the line of sight. From the apparent velocity in all available epochs we are able to establish variations in the ejection angle which imply a precessing accretion disk. Finally we point out that LS I +61˚303, like SS 433 and Cygnus X-1, shows evidence for an emission region almostorthogonal to the relativistic jet

Context. MGRO J2019+37 is an unidentified extended source of very high energy gamma-rays originally reported by the Milagro Collaboration as the brightest TeV source in the Cygnus region. Its extended emission could be powered by either a single or several sources. The GeV pulsar AGL J2020.5+3653, discovered by AGILE and associated with PSR J2021+3651, could contribute to the emission from MGRO J2019+37. Our aim is to identify radio and near-infrared sources in the field of the extended TeV source MGRO J2019+37, and study potential counterparts to explain its emission. Methods: We surveyed a region of about 6 square degrees with the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) at the frequency 610 MHz. We also observed the central square degree of this survey in the near-infrared Ks-band using the 3.5 m telescope in Calar Alto. Archival X-ray observations of some specific fields are included. VLBI observations of an interesting radio source were performed. We explored possible scenarios to produce the multi-TeV emission from MGRO J2019+37 and studied which of the sources could be the main particle accelerator. Results: We present a catalogue of 362 radio sources detected with the GMRT in the field of MGRO J2019+37, and the results of a cross-correlation of this catalog with one obtained at near-infrared wavelengths, which contains ∼3 × 105 sources, as well as with available X-ray observations of the region. Some peculiar sources inside the ∼1◦ uncertainty region of the TeV emission from MGRO J2019+37 are discussed in detail, including the pulsar PSR J2021+3651 and its pulsar wind nebula PWN G75.2+0.1, two new radio-jet sources, the Hii region Sh 2-104 containing two star clusters, and the radio source NVSS J202032+363158. We also find that the hadronic scenario is the most likely in case of a single accelerator, and discuss the possible contribution from the sources mentioned above. Conclusions: Although the radio and GeV pulsar PSR J2021+3651 / AGL J2020.5+3653 and its associated pulsar wind nebula PWN G75.2+0.1 can contribute to the emission from MGRO J2019+37, extrapolation of the GeV spectrum does not explain the detected multi-TeV flux. Other sources discussed here could contribute to the emission of the Milagro source

Ground-based gamma-ray astronomy has a huge potential in astrophysics, particle physics and cosmology. CTA is an international initiative to build the next generation instrument, with a factor of 5-10 improvement in sensitivity in the 100 GeV-10 TeV range and the extension to energies well below 100 GeV and above 100 TeV. CTA will consist of two arrays (one in the north, one in the south) for full sky coverage and will be operated as open observatory. The design of CTA is based on currently available technology. This document reports on the status and presents the major design concepts of CTA.
