Over the last several years, lawmakers have been responding to several highly publicized child abduction, assault and murder cases. While such cases remain rare in Iowa, the public debates they have generated are having far-reaching effects. Policy makers are responsible for controlling the nature of such effects. Challenges they face stem from the need to avoid primarily politically-motivated responses and the desire to make informed decisions that recognize both the strengths and the limitations of the criminal justice system as a vehicle for promoting safe and healthy families and communities. Consensus was reached by the Task Force at its first meeting that one of its standing goals is to provide nonpartisan guidance to help avoid or fix problematic sex offense policies and practices. Setting this goal was a response to the concern over what can result from elected officials’ efforts to respond to the types of sex offender-related concerns that can easily become emotionally laden and politically charged due to the universally held abhorrence of sex crimes against children. The meetings of the Task Force and the various work groups it has formed have included some spirited and perhaps emotionally charged discussions, despite the above-stated ground rule. However, as is described in the report, the Task Force’s first set of recommendations and plans for further study were approved through consensus. It is hoped that in upcoming legislative deliberations, it will be remembered that the non-legislative members of the Task Force all agreed on the recommendations contained in this report. The topics discussed in this first report from the Task Force are limited to the study issues specifically named in H.F. 619, the Task Force’s enabling legislation. It has been suggested that much more can be done to prevent child-victim sex crimes than would be accomplished by only concentrating on what to do with offenders after a crime has occurred. To prevent child victimization, H.F. 619 policy provisions rely largely on incapacitation and future deterrent effects of increased penalties, more restrictive supervision practices and greater public awareness of the risk presented by a segment of Iowa’s known sex offenders. For some offenders, these policies will no doubt prevent future sex crimes against children, and the Task Force has begun long-term studies to look for the desired results and for ways to improve such results through better supervision tools and more effective offender treatment. Unfortunately, much of the effects from the new policies may primarily influence persons who have already committed sex offenses against minors and who have already been caught doing so. Task Force members discussed the need for a range of preventive efforts and a need to think about sex crimes against children from other than just a “reaction- to-the-offender” perspective. Over 1,000 incidences of child sexual abuse are confirmed or founded each year in Iowa, and most such acts take place in the child’s home or the residence of the caretaker of the child. [cat] La finalitat d’aquest projecte és aprofundir en el procés d’integració socioeducativa de la joventut migrada a Catalunya, específicament, dels i les joves entre 14 i 18 anys. Entre els resultats destaquem que els joves tenen un concepte força tancat i excloent del concepte de ciutadania com a estatus, i un baix grau de coneixement de la diversitat cultural, especialment els joves autòctons; tot i que tenen una actitud de reconeixement i acceptació, favorable a la convivència intercultural, tant al centre educatiu com al seu barri. No obstant, tenen una visió de la diversitat cultural i del fet migratori en clau de coexistència, sense el reconeixement que suposaria un pas més per a la convivència. La immigració és vista com un col·lectiu vulnerable, amb un baix nivell econòmic i cultural i que també és percebut com un problema i, fins i tot, com a causant de les dificultats que actualment pateix i travessa el conjunt de la societat. Els joves tendeixen a relacionar-se amb el seu grup cultural, i responen de forma passiva en la comprensió i actuació davant dels problemes i assumptes públics. Entre els elements que valoren per sentir-se ciutadà té una especial importància la llengua. Els joves que fa més de 10 anys que viuen a Catalunya són els que tendeixen a tenir un sentiment de pertinença cívica amb el lloc de residència. De fet, com més temps porten els joves estrangers vivint al lloc d’acollida, perden importància elements d’identificació cultural del país d’origen, però la religió, les celebracions populars, l’art i la tendència a formar parella són elements identitaris del lloc d’origen, més estables. Es demana una intervenció urgent en diversos nivells i destinades a diferents agents. Destaquem: -La importància d’una acollida afectiva i efectiva, -Potenciar espais de trobada, -Treballar els prejudicis, -Transversalitzar l’educació intercultural, - Potenciació de l’aprenentatge de la llengua catalana, -Formació del professorat en competències interculturals.

La pregunta inicial d’aquesta investigació rau en si el patrimoni proper és un recurs que facilita l’aprenentatge de les ciències socials als nens i nenes. Per tal de donar resposta a aquesta qüestió, s’ha estudiat la relació entre el patrimoni local i l’interès que genera. Per realitzar-ho, es van concretar uns ítems que han estat analitzats a partir d’un estudi de casos. Els participants d’aquesta investigació han estat un grup d’alumnes d’Educació Primària, els quals van realitzar una proposta didàctica on s’utilitzava el patrimoni proper com a eix vertebrador. També, han participat en aquesta investigació mestres d’escoles de Sant Celoni, els quals han expressat les vivències viscudes amb els seus alumnes en activitats que impliquen el patrimoni local. Finalment, s’ha analitzat la informació aportada per tots els participants i s’ha arribat a unes conclusions.

Hi ha molts tipus d’escoles diferents, i fins i tot, podem constatar que cada escola és diferent de les altres. Per aquesta raó, quan parlem sobre l’aprenentatge de l’anglès, no podem generalitzar una manera de fer-ho, perquè cada una d’elles tracta aquesta llengua de manera diferent. A més, pel que fa a l’aprenentatge d’una llengua, hi ha diferents habilitats involucrades, i entre totes aquestes, he centrat aquest projecte en l’habilitat oral. Aquesta recerca esta basada en l’observació de tres exemples de tipus d’escoles, i per ser més precisos, té l’objectiu d’aprofundir com tracten l’Anglès. D’aquesta manera, el principal objectiu d’aquest projecte és comparar l’habilitat oral dels alumnes d’aquestes escoles, tot considerant les seves diferències. Així doncs, amb el desenvolupament d’aquesta recerca, vaig voler descobrir si hi havien alguns alumnes amb millors habilitats orals que d’altres, i trobar-ne la possible raó.

En aquesta recerca es presenten els resultats i les conclusions d’unes entrevistes realitzades a pares i mares d’alumnes de quart de primària de diferents orígens culturals, amb l’objectiu de descobrir el valor que cada família dóna a les matemàtiques, d’observar amb quines dificultats es troben els pares i mares quan han d’ajudar als seus fills i filles a fer els deures de matemàtiques, a més d’esbrinar quins recursos i/o estratègies tenen per ajudar-los. Per altra banda, també es vol saber si les experiències que tenen els adults en relació amb les matemàtiques afecta a l’ensenyament-aprenentatge dels seus fills i filles.

Des del 1995 el Consell Europeu ha promogut l’aprenentatge d’una segona llengua a través d’una altra àrea en el que coneixem per CLIL (Contingut i Llengua Integrats en l’Aprenentatge) o en altres paraules: “una activitat en la qual l’aprenentatge d’una llengua estrangera és utilitzada com una eina per l’aprenentatge d’una àrea no linguística en la qual llengua i contingut tenen un mateix paper” (Marsh, 2002). Tot I així, “ensenyar una àrea a través d’una llengua estrangera no és el mateix que la integració de llengua i contingut”. CLIL comporta altres implicacions metodològiques pel que fa a la planificació, estratègies didàctiques i particularment al rol del docent. De fet, són aquests factors els que componen l’èxit o el fracàs en l’implementació de CLIL. i per aquest motiu pretenc analitzar i descriure les diferències entre una sessió de CLIL i una de llengua anglesa. Aquesta investigació és un estudi de cas que vol oferir una mirada a les diferències entre una unitat de CLIL i una de llengua anglesa portades a terme en un grup de 3r de primària a l’escola de Sant Miquel dels Sants (Vic) pel que fa a la planificació, les estratègies i actuacions del docent.

Aquest Treball de Final de Grau en Mestre d’Educació Infantil, i especialitat en menció inclusiva, té com a objectiu analitzar els beneficis de la música a les aules inclusives de parvulari de l’escola Jacint Verdaguer de Santa Eugènia de Berga. La música no només ajuda a desenvolupar el sentit de l’oïda, del tacte i el llenguatge, sinó que també millora la capacitat d’improvisació i la creativitat. A més, redueix barreres pel que fa a la participació i a l’aprenentatge de tots els alumnes i promou el treball en grup i d’una forma emocional. Podem dir, doncs, que la música és integradora, uneix cultures i crea noves formes d’expressió musical. El meu paper en el projecte és totalment actiu. Es porten a terme quatre activitats relacionades amb l’àmbit musical per tal de fer un anàlisi exhaustiu i de deduir quines són les emocions que provoca la música. Per tant, aquesta recerca pretén, d’una banda, donar coneixements més profunds sobre la relació entre música i educació emocional i, de l’altra, portar a terme algunes activitats per analitzar les reaccions d’infants de diferents edats. Per finalitzar aquest treball d’investigació, s’aporten unes conclusions sobre el paper de la música a l’aprenentatge.

Actualment moltes fonts d'informació ens descriuen i argumenten com han de ser les activitats científiques a l'escola per garantir l'aprenentatge significatiu de l'alumnat, i d'altres estudis ens mostren com han de ser les activitats escolars en l'entorn; però no hi ha estudis que ens descriguin i argumentin com han de ser les activitats científiques escolars basades en l'experimentació i l'estudi de l'entorn proper. Així doncs, aquesta investigació s'endinsa per solucionar un problema actual que és: com ha de ser una bona activitat científica escolar basada en l'experimentació i l'estudi de l'entorn proper? En resposta a això, aquest treball es basa en una investigació avaluativa que analitza diversos projectes de ciències basats en l'entorn a partir de l'observació d'uns criteris específics elaborats, per una banda a partir de les idees d'experts sobre com ha de ser una bona activitat científica i com ha de ser una activitat escolar d'entorn efectiva; i per altra banda a partir de les idees extretes de les entrevistes fetes a mestres promotores de projectes científics escolars innovadors centrats i duts a terme en l'entorn proper.

El artículo explora las utilidades didácticas del dictado (la práctica comunicativa de oralizar o leer en voz alta un escrito) para el aprendizaje funcional de una lengua materna o extranjera, en los diversos niveles de enseñanza. Después de criticar el uso tradicional de este ejercicio lingüístico, presentamos once formas diferentes de desarrollar un dictado en clase, con sus particulares contenidos, objetivos y metodologías. También analizamos con detalle la técnica más tradicional del dictado magistral, en la que el docente dicta palabra por palabra un texto al alumnado, poniendo énfasis en la ortografía; ofrecemos algunas orientaciones para incrementar el componente comunicativo de esta propuesta. Las conclusiones finales proponen entender esta técnica como un recurso metodológico variado, rico y sugerente, adaptado a cada situación de aprendizaje —y no como una práctica obligatoria y fosilizada.

L'article analitza com nou estudiants universitaris de primer curs comprenen la ideologia de dos editorials que tracten un mateix tema polític des d'una orientació oposada. La metodologia és qualitativa i utilitza qüestionaris oberts i entrevistes semiestructurades per recollir les respostes i els comentaris dels informants, que es contrasten amb l'anàlisi lingüística usant l'aparell teòric de l'Anàlisi del Discurs. Els resultats mostren una gran diversitat de conductes, des de lectors que poden identificar la ideologia i elaborar una resposta personal coherent, fins a lectors que donen interpretacions erràtiques i incoherents. La discussió de les dades suggereix algunes vies per promoure un aprenentatge de pràctiques lectores més crítiques i contextualitzades.
