Produção do curta-metragem “os que vivem o sonho” baseado no estudo da biologia das aves

As aves caracterizam-se por serem um grupo de vertebrados muito diverso. Devido a algumas características de sua biologia, como a capacidade do vôo, esse grupo é encontrado em praticamente todos os biomas do planeta. O Brasil, por exemplo, possui mais de 1.800 espécies de aves; calculada, na base das coleções de J. Natterer, a relação das espécies de mamíferos para as de aves seria aproximadamente 1:6. Dessa forma, as pesquisas envolvendo o estudo da biologia comportamental e anatômica, e as relações ecológicas das aves com o meio ambiente tornam-se extremamente importantes para a compreensão da Biologia. Porém, esse estudo normalmente se retém ao grupo restrito dos pesquisadores, e pouco se propaga e se traduz para os leigos. Existem diversas formas de se realizar essa tradução, e o audiovisual é uma ferramenta muito eficaz para realizar isso. A união do vídeo e da imagem com o som torna a propagação de informações muito mais dinâmica do que produzir algo escrito, ou fotografias, por exemplo. Durante o ano de 2009 diversas filmagens foram realizadas nas cidades de Bauru, Botucatu e São Paulo com a câmera fotográfica Panasonic Lumix FZ28 e com uma filmadora camcorder Sony. Avaliação do método de classificação baseada no objeto em imagens de alta resolução espacial aplicado para o monitoramento de faixa de dutos: estudo de caso no entorno da refinaria de Capuava em Mauá - SP

The metropolitan region of São Paulo is the most populous of the country, this happens because of its great importance in the national economy and the job opportunities that are offered to the population. These factors result in intense population growth and urban expansion, reaching some non-habitable places of the metropolis, as areas of pipelines, which are very important for the transportation of natural gas, oil and its derivatives. Before the population growth of the region, these sites were unoccupied, do not presenting problems for the population. However, with the disorderly occupation is generated great anthropogenic pressure on the pipeline stitches, causing risks to people who are around them. Therefore it is extremely important to monitor the strip of pipelines through products and techniques of remote sensing and geoprocessing, enabling, through high spatial resolution images, identification of objects or phenomena that occur on Earth's surface that can alter the functioning and safety of pipelines. Therefore, this study aims to monitor a stretch of the area of the pipeline mesh GASPAL/OSVAT and Capuava Refinery (RECAP), located on the outskirts of the metropolitan area of São Paulo in the city of Mauá, who suffer great human pressure, proving thus the techniques of remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) as effective tools for monitoring phenomena occurred in urban areas of great complexity. The monitoring was done by object-based classification applied in orbital images Ikonos II and RapidEye, of high spatial resolution and, image processing, detection of objects, segmentation, classification and editing were developed through the eCognition and ArcGis softwares. Estudo da qualidade da água do Ribeirão Guaratinguetá

This paper conducts to water quality study of Stream Guaratinguetá from its source to its confluence with the River Paraiba, through the analysis of some physical, chemical and biological parameters. All tests were performed according to Standard Methods for Examination of Water and Wastewater 20th edition and compared to the CONAMA Resolution No. 357 (2005). Coliforms was the most critical parameter found in samples. The results lead to the conclusion that the biggest problem of water quality in the stream in study is the aquatic rice (rice field) and the launch “fresh” sewage

Os recursos publicitários como ferramenta de valorização do fazer-jornalístico: um estudo das capas da Revista Veja

This study focuses on an analysis of the convergence of Journalism and Publicity on the covers of the magazine. This paper aims to clarify how the dynamics of that relationship, understanding that in contemporary society, both Journalism and Publicity to perform the same function-to inform, differing only in the objective-journalism sells news, Publicity sells dream. The magazine Veja was chosen for this study because its importance and scope in publishing. Inspired by Time magazine, founded in 1922 by Henry Luce, Veja was the 2nd review of gender information in Brazil. Today a record run of more than 1 million copies, occupying the 3rd position in the ranking of news magazines sold over the world and the largest weekly magazine of the U.S. Among the media, the magazine is the most identified with the publicity, because as disseminator of advertising, the magazine has the advantage of being able to achieve precisely the widest range of public and the possibility of dealing with many different subjects; In addition, the number of people who have contact with the advertising is much greater because, on average, four people read each issue and is also common that the same reader review the revised more than once, which helps in setting the message advertising. This affinity between magazine and publicity is in its essence as both are prepared for the market, seek to promote, show themselves to be bought. Análise da dinâmica do uso da terra e sua interferência em enchentes na área urbana do município de Americana (SP)

Due to an intense process of population growth and urban density in Americana (SP), mainly due to the development of the local textile industry after 1970, there was, concomitant to the occupation of the margin of rivers and streams, soil sealing that increased the level of superficial runoff, triggering frequent floods. Based on the analysis of these processes we investigate the conditions of one densely urbanized area of the county, the Córrego do Parque, in three time series, 1977, 1996 and 2008. Taking as the starting the characterization and spatial distribution of landscape physiography, we prepared thematic letters and synthetic maps digital scale 1:10,000 from photointerpretation of aeroframes. The thematic maps were produced by scanning with subsequent edition using the software Auto-Cad Map. Checking the data and of geographic coordinates with GPS (Global Positioning System). Regarding land use classes, we used the description of the Soil Conservation Service (1975) which allowed us to get the Curve Number parameter, which will be used in hydrologic modeling for verification of flooding (Tucci, 1989). For the process of hydrologic modeling, we used models based on Methodology Object Oriented Modeling Applied to Water Resource Systems, Viegas Filho (1999), using the computer program called IPHS1, which uses models of the Soil Conservation Service (SCS , 2004), for conversion of rainfall-runoff and the spread of excessive rain. The results indicate that increased waterproofing generated by the change in use and occupation over the past decades promoted the increased surface runoff and drainage system overload, increasing the intensity of floods

Coroa da terra: a poesia como (re)criação do mundo

This monograph is aimed at reflecting the internal structure of the book Coroa da Terra (1946), the Portuguese poet Jorge de Sena (1919-1978), investigating for this, the guiding criteria for the ordering of poems. Starting from a question posed by an author paratext, we considered the possibility that the book is constituted as a unit of poetic path, in which each poem comprises a stretch of the pilgrimage undertaken by the poet toward the crown of the Earth. Moreover, from the epigraph of the book and the Preface (1960) of 1st edition of Poesia I (1961), we consider the idea that the Coroa da Terra is a search for truth, or even that the pilgrimage made by the poet is on the trail of a poetic word conscious and therefore ethically responsible. This search would set the poetic language of testimony, from which derive two other important vectors for the exegesis of poetry seniana: metamorphosis and pilgrimage. Upholding the unity of the book would be the language in dialectical flow as a formal procedure, which enables the poet be an expression in constant motion. To check the validity of our hypothesis, we conducted an analysis of four poems in sequential order (―Purgatório‖, ―Suma Teológica‖, ―Os trabalhos e os dias‖, ―Espiral‖). To them, it was added to analyze the poem ―Metamorfose‖, poem 23rd of the Coroa da Terra, which acted as a reference point and as close to the research by presenting a character's thought seniano synthesis. It was found that the idea of unity is sustained when we consider Coroa da Terra as a journey of formative poetic direction

Estudo de caso da qualidade de águas superficiais nos bairros Colônia do Piaguí e Santa Luzia no município de Guaratinguetá

The work is to study about the quality of surface waters of the Piaguí and neighborhoods Colonia Santa Luzia. Six samples of which the physical, chemical and biological parameters were analyzed were collected. The tests were conducted in accordance with Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater 20th edition and compared with the resolution of CONAMA No. 357 (2005). Critical parameters are found in fecal coliform and water coloring, which may indicate an anthropogenic interference in the sampling points (domestic sewage), or the effect of rainfall during the collection period influence the results

O texto adaptado à máquina: estratégias de controle autoral para implementação da tradução automática

Machine translation systems have been increasingly used for translation of large volumes of specialized texts. The efficiency of these systems depends directly on the implementation of strategies for controlling lexical use of source texts as a way to guarantee machine performance and, ultimately, human revision and post-edition work. This paper presents a brief history of application of machine translation, introduces the concept of lexicon and ambiguity and focuses on some of the lexical control strategies presently used, discussing their possible implications for the production and reading of specialized texts.

Os deslimites da poesia e os reflexos do mundo: uma leitura de No banheiro um espelho trincado

Lyric poetry is where the relationships between world perception, language and representation are mostly problematized. In fact, poetic creation oscillates between the desire of a realistic expression of the world, beings and things and the understanding that its urgent task is simply to reinvent the world order and denaturalize it. Thus, Sérgio Mello’s poems in No Banheiro um Espelho Trincado (2004) conceive a poetry mainly concerned on the tension between words and things; between the lyric subject and the world; between language and the reality it encloses, through groups of images that range from the natural to the rupture process. His poems are small pieces of narrative, scenes that are articulated through the cutting technique, like the process of a cinematographic edition.

Estudo da presença e importância atribuída aos animais nos artigos apresentados nos anais do Encontro Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEA)

Together with the increase of environmental degradation in the past few decades, the environmental education (EE) has emerged and grown all around the world. It is worrying the frequent assigning of stereotypes to the animals and the cases of disrespect to them. For these matters it was studied the presence and importance attributed to animals in the annals of six editions of an event of great significance in the field of Environmental Education, the meetings Pesquisa em Educação Ambiental (EPEAs). The animals were chosen for deserving more attention in the preservationist context, besides allowing the use of a great extent of activities in EE, regarding scholar and non-scholar organizations. The articles that presented descriptors related to animals in the title, keywords or abstract were analyzed in depth and characteristics such as segmentation of the studied population, locations where jobs tend to be performed, prevailing aspects and didactic material production, among others, were investigated and compared. It was also verified which current trends on Environmental Education currents are more frequently presented in the EPEAs articles, in order to map the Environmental Education in Brazil in the past few years, using as a basis an important theoretical framework in the area. Through the use of descriptors it was possible to define the articles that would be analyzed in depth, which is less than 6% of the total work published and represents that, until the sixth edition, the EPEAs have a minor amount of works concerning animal matters. In many of these articles animals were superficially worked, which demonstrates the necessity of approaches not only involving more the animals, but also addressing the complex environmental matter.
