Proposta de um protocolo de terapia celular para o tratamento da doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica

The main feature of pulmonary emphysema is airflow obstruction resulting from the destruction of the alveolar walls distal to the terminal bronchioles. Existing clinical approaches have improved and extended the quality of life of emphysema patients. However, no treatment currently exists that can change the disease course and cure the patient. The different therapeutic approaches that are available aim to increase survival and/or enhance the quality of life of emphysema patients. In this context, cell therapy is a promising therapeutic approach with great potential for degenerative pulmonary diseases. In this protocol proposition, all patients will be submitted to laboratory tests, such as evaluation of heart and lung function and routine examinations. Stem cells will be harvested by means of 10 punctures on each anterior iliac crest, collecting a total volume of 200 mL bone marrow. After preparation, separation, counting and labeling (optional) of the mononuclear cells, the patients will receive an intravenous infusion from the pool of Bone Marrow Mononuclear Cells (BMMC). This article proposes a rational and safe clinical cellular therapy protocol which has the potential for developing new projects and can serve as a methodological reference for formulating clinical application protocols related to the use of cellular therapy in COPD. This study protocol was submitted and approved by the Brazilian National Committee of Ethics in Research (CONEP - Brazil) registration number 14764. This essay discusses the theme of poetics in teaching activity, and discusses its possible ability to think about the ethical-formative sense and its possible political use to propose alternatives to the educational praxis that is restricted, in actuality, a pragmatic teaching. From the point of view of aesthetics of existence, therefore, we proposes a particular notion of poetic, fairly close to what can be understood by the dramatic that underlies the pragmatic of you last Foucault, as well as analyzes your chances to problematize the current pragmatic teaching. Thus, we look forward to assist the educator thinking both the possibility of ethics (self) transformation as the meaning of formation of another in his educational activity.

Catalogação, formas de representação e construções mentais

The cataloging process, is responsible for building systems consisting of sets of interconnected elements and combined forms of representation, creating tools to facilitate the flow of information in various informational environments. It presents structures that offer favorable conditions for access to formal codes of symbolic representation and to the channels of information transfer, performing with competence the decoding and encoding of codes and rules used to represent knowledge and to describe information, documents and resources. The objective of this paper is to present the challenge of transforming operational data into consistent information, the role of the forms of representation and the mental constructions for defining the memory markers of users of catalogs. It shows as results the memory markers indicated by three categories of users for the description of a book like resource and points to the need of collaborative and cooperative work in cataloging and to the need of catalog modelling focused on the user.

Desafios da comunicação na gestão da sustentabilidade ambiental das organizações contemporâneas

The present production aims to approach environmental sustainability and communication to demonstrate that the public relations´s professional is capable of legitimation process´s assistance of ethics and coherent speechs and capable of sense´s construction´s assistance for environmental sustainability on contemporary organizations. This position shows that organization´s consistent speechs are connected with its institutional mission and effort besides, it is value and sensitive to interested parts that emphasis the environmental preservation and environmental project´s introduction, integrating organization with community. On this context it is constructed a discussion about Sustainability Report´s content and guidelines used for sustainability reporting framework, as where as main environmental organizational activities, analyzing three different companies and its respective Sustainability Reports on 2009. Thereby, it is pointed out relevance of efficient communication which deal with opposite interests between organizations and its stakeholders so that public relations focus on strategic management trying to include negotiation, dialogue, transparency and ethics to line up both interests

Inspeção de Precaução de Contato: relato de Experiência de uma Graduanda de Enfermagem Botucatu

Infections Related to Healthcare (IRAS) is a problem of worldwide concern, responsible for much morbidity and lethality. The incidence of IRAS associated with resistant microorganisms has increased worldwide. It is also known that the etiology of bacterial resistance is multifactorial, thus controlling the spread of resistant microorganisms requires the implementation of control measures that involve the performance of standard and contact precautions, plus the use of antimicrobials. To diagnose the problem as to the likely accession of the measures of infection control was prepared in a form to inspect the practices of the health staff acting with patients in contact precautions. The inspections had an educational and awareness, no punitive measures were taken to staff as warnings, suspensions or complains of a breach of ethics. If any irregularities were found, the professional standards of care countershaft contact and the nurse responsible for the head nurse or unit area were notified and counseled about the correct practice of isolation. While an undergraduate student initiated precautionary inspections of contact in order to verify the actual use of isolation measures, since the professionals were unaware of my active participation in the Committee on Infection Control. Facilities and difficulties were encountered in the process, and from the inspections was possible interventions to facilitate compliance with standards for isolation imposed by contact. Since the instrument has significantly improved adherence to contact isolation practices, the members of the Infection Control regulated inspections and intend to use it as a permanent method

This work is aimed at examining the paradox of modernity, from the opposition between Enlightenment ideals and historical events that followed, especially during the twentieth century, as well as to study the impact of mismatch on Bioethics, adopting as a reference epistemological critical theory of the Frankfurt School. Bioethics presents itself as a shaky science, devoid of references, and primarily impacted by the emptying of ethics. The reason desubjectivation established by and exacerbated by modern enlightenment, was able to erect dark scary for humanity and promote barbaric practices in the name of a science that promises order and progress. This paradox and the fallacy of reason enlightened by scientific advances are wide open, always accompanied by ethical and moral returns scary. Some examples are the surveys conducted in Tuskegee and Guatemala, and treated in this study, which show how far modern rationality and all its consequences

A Poética do amor em O Romance da Rosa

We aim with this article to analyze the poetics of love in The Romance of the Rose. We think that Guillaume de Lorris’s conception of love is associated with the flourishing of the French courtly society of the XIII Century, and that Jean de Meun’s conception of love is a result of the decline of this same society. Behind the virtues offered by Guillaume to the medieval lover we find the notion of courtesy, of the art of living in society, the understanding of the poetry as a form of ethics, and the medieval poetic of desire – intimately associated with the religious mysticism appeared from the XI Century and with the troubadours’ poetry. Jean is more influenced by the Ovidian tradition of thinking about the causes and effects of love. In the first part of the poem, Guillaume idealizes the conquest of the Rose; in the second, Jean describes the cueillette of the Rose, which could be read as a rape, in an allegorical way. It is this tension between different conceptions of love in a same poem that makes possible a better comprehension of the ways people used to think and feel in the Middle Ages.
