Discurso lexicográfico: as reedições do Dicionário da língua portuguesa de Morais

Este artigo apresenta uma análise discursiva de uma amostragem de verbetes da primeira edição e de algumas das reedições do Dicionário da língua portuguesa, de António de Morais Silva (1789, 1813, 1831, 1844, 1858, 1877, 1889). A perspectiva teórica é a da Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, aliada ao campo da História das Idéias Lingüísticas. O corpus é formado de verbetes dos domínios de nomes de árvores, nomes de animais, nomes de partes do corpo, designações sociais, verbos de estado e movimento e verbos de ações sociais. Mostramos as transformações no discurso, as rupturas, os deslocamentos de sentido de uma edição a outra, explicitando a historicidade das definições e a configuração das formações discursivas.

Traços épico-brechtianos na dramaturgia portuguesa: O render dos heróis, de Cardoso Pires, e Felizmente há luar!, de Sttau Monteiro

O principal objetivo desse estudo é apontar, descrever e analisar as formas de transposição dos pressupostos brechtianos de teatro em O render dos heróis, de José Cardoso Pires, e Felizmente há luar! de Luís de Sttau Monteiro e mostrar a relação dessas peças com o período anterior à Revolução de 25 de Abril, especificamente na década de 1960, marcada pelos processos de aplicação da censura. A matriz brechtiana em O render dos heróis e em Felizmente há luar!, além de ser a estética responsável por uma tentativa de inovação das formas dramáticas praticadas em Portugal, também confirma a preocupação dos autores com a expressão de um posicionamento crítico perante a realidade, com os rumos da dramaturgia e com o papel do dramaturgo em seu tempo e lugar.

Entre o atlântico e a costa: confluência de rotas mercantis num porto periférico da América portuguesa (Santos, 1808-1822)

This paper has approached the coastal and Atlantic characters of such commercial activity in the port of Santos between 1808 and 1822 and the contradictions arising of this double condition, which is unique in the Southern coast of Portuguese America. This discussion was based on data collected in importation and exportation maps produced by customs of Santos to the Royal Board of Trade.

Currículos de formação de professores de língua portuguesa: instituições autônomas e o poder de sua história

Baseia-se em uma pesquisa interinstitucional que focaliza o âmbito mais amplo em que são formuladas e implementadas as políticas de formação de professores no Estado de São Paulo. Tem por objetivo contribuir para a elucidação das forças presentes em movimentos de reforma curricular nos cursos de licenciatura, cotejando dados e aspectos socioculturais e institucionais circundantes. A análise incide sobre projetos pedagógicos de dois cursos de Letras de duas universidades públicas paulistas. Essas instituições desenvolveram, nos últimos anos, projetos ou ações de formação de professores para a escola básica, e é nesse contexto que se inserem os projetos pedagógicos analisados, que são tomados como exemplos de caminhos diferenciados que as universidades traçam, influenciadas pela história de cada instituição. O procedimento de pesquisa adotado foi a análise documental e o conceito de currículo em processo orientou as reflexões desenvolvidas. Reafirma-se, como em outros estudos, que a necessária integração entre saberes pedagógicos e saberes provenientes da área de referência continua sendo tarefa difícil, que as circunstâncias na criação dos cursos e a formação superposta deixou suas marcas nas instituições e que as tentativas para superá-la constituem exemplos esparsos e não modelos generalizados, o que ressalta a relevância da continuidade das pesquisas sobre o currículo dos cursos de licenciatura.

Avaliação de língua portuguesa em provas escolares do século XX (1935 e 1963)

The article analyses three school exams of Elementary School, two belonging to a mother and one of her son, which were kept and provided to the researcher by the mother. The first two exams were dated March 30 and November 13, 1935 of the 3rd grade of Grupo Escolar Fernando Lobo in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. The third one was produced at Grupo Escolar Coronel Amâncio Bueno in Jaguariúna, São Paulo in March 28, 1963 in a 4th grade class. The analysed data all together point out school products which are the result of the relationship between teacher, student and school culture. School exams are as important documents as the notebooks in order to understand the school culture, and as this paper tries to indicate, they are the means for the insertion into the world of written culture. The methodology based on the microanalysis of these documents reveals records about the structure of the exams and the Brazilian school curriculum in the teaching of Portuguese as a mother tongue in 1935 e 1963.

Questionário de qualidade de vida de crianças com paralisia cerebral (cp qol-child): tradução e adaptação para língua portuguesa

The aim of this study was to verify the reliability of the Brazilian Portuguese version of the instrument Cerebral Palsy: quality of life questionnaire for children: primary caregiver questionnaire (CP QOLChild: primary caregiver) translated and culturally adapted. Thus, the translation and cultural adaptation of the instrument was made, and then the procedures to verify its reliability were performed. The translated and culturally adapted questionnaire was answered by 30 caregivers of children with cerebral palsy and inter and intra-observer analysis followed. The data allowed the authors to identify an internal consistency rangering from 0.649 to 0.858, intra-observer reliability from 0.625 to 0.809 and inter-observer reliability from 0.498 to 0.903. The analysis suggests that the instrument has acceptable psychometry.

O retorno: identidades à deriva no romance português contemporâneo

This paper concentrates on the analysis of how the typical voices of History are manifested, which is achieved by the aesthetics of the contemporary Portuguese narrative, as it aims at the same time the reflexion and the reformulation of the Lusitanian cultural imaginary in the course of O retorno, a novel by Dulce Maria Cardoso. The hypothesis that arises is that the trajectory of Rui’s individual experience, as wells as the other’s characters “retornados” looking for identity, is parallel to the proposed revision of the Portuguese nation collective cultural imaginary in the decolonization context, after the 25th April Revolution. It is its objective to investigate how the historical processes concerned to the concepts of exile and uprooting, displacement and belonging (BAUMAN, 2005) are fictionalized in the novel, seen as motes for Rui’s pursuit for identity and for the revision of the Portuguese Destiny theme

A variação sócio-cultural e o ensino de língua portuguesa no ensino fundamental: por uma pedagogia sensivelmente cultural

This study aimed to gather information about the social and linguistic reality of students 1. years of elementary school and community that came, in order to identify aspects of their lexical phonological levels, morphological and morphosyntactic and thus identify and describe the alternative variants of non-standard rule. The methodology chosen was that of variational sociolinguistics addressing quantitative and qualitative aspects in the treatment of the data collected through participant observation and audio recordings of speeches of the students. The results indicate that the level of phonological variants are the most frequent in the speech of students. Because the literacy phase, how the student speaks serves you a guide to the act of writing, so it is necessary to work with the students the difference between oral and written form and monitoring of these two modes according to the context of the discourse

Da descrição ao ensino da oração adjetiva: a perspectiva dos livros didáticos de língua portuguesa

This paper aims at investigating the treatment given to relative clauses by elementary school text books, evidencing how the teaching of grammar is proposed in the teacher’s books. As a consequence, this study also intends to discuss important aspects to be considered as far as the teaching of relative clauses is concerned. In order to achieve that objective, five Portuguese text books (approved by the Programa Nacional do Livro Didático-2014) were selected so that the grammar teaching proposals could be analyzed in relation to the definition and to the distinguishing criteria between defining and non-defining relative clauses. Results show that the teaching of relative clauses (as proposed by the teacher’s books) still reflects the postulates of the traditional grammar, based on activities of identification and classification of morphosyntactic units, ignoring the pragmatic and prosodic aspects.
