Valor adaptativo e habilidade competitiva de azevém resistente e suscetível ao iodosulfuron em competição com o trigo.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar e comparar valores adaptativos dos biótipos de azevém (Lolium multiflorum) resistente e suscetível ao herbicida iodosulfuron e avaliar sua habilidade competitiva com o trigo (Triticum aestivum). Para avaliar o valor adaptativo, os biótipos foram semeados em vasos e coletados a cada 10 dias após a emergência, até os 80 dias. Em cada coleta, avaliaram-se estatura, área foliar e massa seca da parte aérea, e, a partir destas avaliações, foram calculadas variáveis indiretas para comparar o crescimento entre os biótipos. A habilidade competitiva foi determinada em experimento de série de substituição, tendo-se variado a proporção da cultura e do competidor. As proporções testadas foram: 100:0 (estande puro do trigo), 75:25, 50:50, 25:75 e 0:100% (estande puro do biótipo de azevém resistente ou suscetível); já as variáveis avaliadas foram área foliar e massa seca. Os resultados dos estudos comparativos de crescimento mostraram similaridade entre os biótipos de azevém resistente e suscetível ao iodosulfuron, o que não caracterizou efeito pleiotrópico decorrente da resistência. Quanto à habilidade competitiva, a competição interespecífica é prejudicial para o biótipo resistente, enquanto, para o biótipo suscetível, independe o competidor. A cultura do trigo mostra habilidade competitiva superior a dos biótipos de azevém resistente e suscetível.

LEGISLAÇÃO AMBIENTAL BRASILEIRA E OS IMPACTOS SOCIOAMBIENTAIS DOS GRANDES EMPREENDIMENTOS TURÍSTICOS EM FLORIANÓPOLIS

Este trabalho analisa a dinâmica geográfica e econômica instaurada no processo de apropriação de capital e domínio do espaço, efetivada por parte dos grandes empreendimentos turísticos de Florianópolis, utilizando o caso do Condomínio Residencial Costão Golf como objeto de estudo. Também é destacada a participação comunitária no caso Il Campanário Villaggio Resort e no caso Porto da Barra. São identificados os Princípios do Direito Ambiental, a Legislação Ambiental do Brasil, as fases de urbanização em Florianópolis, o surgimento dos grandes empreendimentos turísticos na capital catarinense, e suas relações com as comunidades locais onde atuam. Ao final, são analisadas as relações dos grandes empreendimentos turísticos de Florianópolis com o Poder Público, que afrontam os Princípios do Direito Ambiental e a Legislação Ambiental do Brasil, possibilitando impactos socioambientais como a contaminação do Aqüífero Ingleses com o manejo do gramado de um campo de golfe.

Legislação sobre violência contra o idoso e serviços de saúde

Este objeto inicia mostrando com um gráfico que a população idosa foi a que mais cresceu no Brasil nos últimos 40 anos. Comenta sobre os direitos dos idosos garantidos por várias políticas e estatutos, mas lembra que embora os idosos estejam amparados legalmente, a violência que os atinge é a negação dos direitos de cidadania conquistados por eles. Segue detalhando o que a Organização Mundial de Saúde entende por maus-tratos e negligência e como surgiram serviços voltados para este fenômeno no Brasil, como as casas de abrigo, os centros de referência multiprofissionais e as instituições próprias para denúncias das violências aos idosos. Mostra ainda como vários dispositivos governamentais possuem objetivos comuns visando resolver esta situação. Conclui mostrando detalhes para a identificação de situações de maus-tratos ao idoso. Unidade 3 do módulo 11 que compõe o Curso de Especialização em Saúde da Família.

Legislação aplicada ao paciente com doença renal crônica

Apresenta os principais direitos nas áreas social e da saúde voltados para os portadores de doença renal crônica, fazendo um breve resgate histórico sobre como esses direitos foram assegurados por lei. Unidade 3 do Módulo 2 “Política Nacional de atenção ao portador de doenças renais” do curso de especialização em Nefrologia Multidisciplinar.

Gases e ruídos em edificações para suínos: aplicação das normas NR-15, CIGR e ACGIH

Swine production represents an important segment of Brazilian economy, and the possibility of increasing production is eminent mainly if considered the low pork consumption when compared to other meat and the consumption of other countries. The increasing need in the international market demands show that in a near future the commercial barriers will be based on welfare, in the protection of the environment as well as in the worker's legislation. Little knowledge is available in the subject of worker's standards in the environmental agents in rural activities as well as the air quality under Brazilian conditions. The objectives of this research were to apply the main used standards related to noise and gases and to estimate occupational risk using measurements of noise level, hydrogen sulfide, methane and oxygen in swine housing, in piglet's nursery and finishing. The results showed that the continuous noise level were below the one found in the standards, however there were observed differences (P < 0.05) in relation to the noise level measured in piglet's nursing cages and in semi-slatted floor. The respective concentrations of hydrogen sulfide and methane were less than 1 ppm and less than 0,1% by volume, which was lower than the recommended limits in NR-15, CIGR and ACGIH. The oxygen level was 21% in average.

Qualidade da classificação do tomate de mesa em unidades de beneficiamento

Quality evaluation of classification was done in two fresh market tomatoes packing house, using electronically and mechanical equipments in two harvest periods, summer and winter seasons. The main goal of this work was to evaluate size and color grading conformity with the standards proposed by the Brazilian Program for Horticulture Modernization and size grading obtainded with the one established by the packer. The cultivar studied was Carmen. The results showed that there was no grade conformity with the fresh tomato quality standards proposed by the Brazilian Program for Horticulture Modernization. The grade conformity obtained when compared with the one programmed by the packer, was only for large sizes, in both equipments. The electronically equipment has presented better performance, over the mechanical, considering grading quality and fruits post-harvest quality. However, the electronically equipment must be constantly monitored to achieve efficiency and investment return. On the other side, for mechanical equipment it will be necessary to review the actual system of size grading, in order to follow the fresh tomato quality standards.

Hipotaxe e Gramaticalização: uma Análise das Construções de Tempo e de Condição

This paper studies complex sentences with temporal hypotatic clauses and with conditional hypotatic clauses in order to investigate the degree of grammaticalization shown by these two kinds of utterances. Our hypothesis is that the more the hypotatic clause is integrated to the nuclear clause, the greater is the degree of grammaticalization. Such degree of integration was measured according to three groups of factors, and the results show that, regarding two of the variables evaluated, the conditional clauses are the most integrated to their nucleus, but, in another rank of evaluation, the temporal clauses are the most integrated ones. Considering that this study is based on a functionalist view, the results may be interpreted according to the principle that there is a competition of motivations in the use of language, so that each utterance reflects the balance of such forces.

Determinação de substitutos da manteiga de cacau em coberturas de chocolate através da análise de triacilgliceróis

Brazilian regulations prohibit the addition of cocoa butter replacements to chocolate, in total or partial substitution. The objective of the present work was to check the quality standards of four of coating bitter Brasilian chocolate bars and five of coating milk chocolate bars, commercialized in Campinas. In order to check the possible addition of substitutes, the triacylglycerol composition was determined, and the results were analysed by Padley & Timms mathematical method. The triacylglycerol composition of each sample was determined by high temperature gas chromatography (HTGC). The presence of cocoa butter replacements was not detected in the brands of coating chocolate.

Levotiroxina e o problema da permutabilidade de drogas de estreito intervalo terapêutico

The exchange of a prescribed drug by other similar, by generic products and even by custom products has become common practice in our country, often ignoring basic tenets of bioequivalence, interchangeability, stability and characteristics of the pharmaceutical compounds. In the case of drugs of narrow therapeutic index, such as levothyroxine, these problems are intensified, putting the effectiveness of treatment and patient health at serious risk. We review the pertinent legislation, emphasizing the characteristics of levothyroxine and adverse effects that limit the interchangeability of the compound.
