A forma no edifício residencial vertical em Natal : 1969 a 2000 :

This essay focuses on issues related to internal problems of the architecture discipline, specially those related to the aesthetics of the buildings. The universe analyzed in this research is constituted of some of the vertical housing built in Natal from the period of 1969 to 2000. As we could observe there are many different aspects in these apartment buildings external appearance, denoting increasing preoccupations in their formal elaboration in the battlefield for diversity against monotony of the simple prismatic volumetric forms.

Casas modernas na orla marítima de João Pessoa 1960 a 1974

This paper studies modern houses built in the neighborhoods of Cabo Branco, Tambaú and Manaíra by the seafront in Joao Pessoa, built between 1960 and 1974. We start from the already widespread notion that Brazilian Modern Architecture was inspired by foreign ways, mainly European but also American here recast, adapted, often innovating repertoire and ideas received (Y. BRUAND, 2005; H. SEGAWA, 2002; C. E. COMAS, 2002; C. E. COMAS, 2002; M. M. ACAYABA e S. FICHER, 1982; M. B. C. ARANHA, 2008; F. C. L. LARA, 2001; R. V. ZEIN, 2005; L. E. AMORIM, 1999, C. V. STINCO, 2010). With this look, after a field study, we collected 61 specimens in the collection of the Central Archive of João Pessoa City Hall, in order to identify which reformulations, adaptations or innovations would exist in modern houses built along the coast in João Pessoa. As we try to analyze the houses by what the bibliography had suggested (G. C. ARGAN, 1992; L. CORBUSIER, 2002; C.E.D. e M. ADRIÀ, 2007; K. FRAMPTON, 1997; H. H. HITCHCOCK, 1976; L. BENEVOLO, 2004; R. DE FUSCO, 1992, N . PEVSNER, 2002; M. RAGON, 1986; B. RISEBERO, 1982; E. ROBBINS, 1997; W. J. R. CURTIS, 1982; V. SCULLY, 2003; B. ZEVI, 1984; D. DUNST, 1999; A. COLQUHOUN, 2002; R. WESTON, 2005; A. IÑAKI, 2006; J. PETER, 1994) the starting idea seemed to us not sufficiently developed. So we decided, first, to undertake a literature review comparing speech and image of modern houses most often cited by international and national literature, following a script freely inspired the Vitruvian triad: the functional and spatial (sectorization, guidance, spatiality, movement); constructive aspects (structural elements, modulation, deck, sealing), and aesthetic aspects (composition, apertures, ornaments) (Cap.1), then cast a look under this same route in 61 specimens obtained initially, trying to verify any specificities they would have (Cap.2). Failing to deepen the analysis of all these examples, we chose 10 projects which were redesigned and described in more detail to which we supplement with the aspects of place - location / lot location, access, axiality. Análise dos efeitos da legislação urbanística na formação e crescimento do Bairro de Lagoa Nova: planos diretores de 1974, 1984 e 1994

Sanitarismo e planejamento urbano: a trajetória das propostas urbanísticas para Natal entre 1935 e 1969

The Escritório Saturnino de Brito (Saturnino de Brito Office), created in 1920 under the sanitaristic guidance of the engineer Saturnino de Brito, has a vast record of works throughout the whole national territory, even after the death of its founder, in 1929 at which point his son, and also engineer, Saturnino de Brito Filho, assumed the head of the company , with a compromise to continue his father s work and assure his administrative, technical and urbanistic principles up until the early 1980s, when that institution came to an end. The scarcity of theorical studies about this Office, alongside the importance of the contributions it made in countless cities, oriented the focus of this study on its performance in Natal, where it remained from 1935 to 1969, designing, executing and managing sanitationist works and the services associated with them and going through several political, economical, social, cultural and urbanistic contexts periodicized in this work into three moments. Thus, it is intended to analyze how the Saturnino de Brito Office behaved and adapted itself to the conjunctural changes that unfolded into each of these moments, and more specifically, to observe the forms of intervention adopted the principles, the instruments and the scope aiming to verify the transition of the sanitaristic set of urbanistic ideas into the urban planning as a development strategy on a local level

Mecanismos de controle do trabalho escolar em propostas de escrita narrativa em livros didáticos de português (1974-2009)

This essay aims at investigating the writing proposals of Portuguese textbooks (LDP Livros Didáticos de Português) for Middle School (EF Ensino Fundamental), from 6th to 9th grade, from the 70s to 2009. It aims to check, though the discourse reported in the Portuguese Textbook, the control directed to the practice of the teacher and the student to do in the teaching situations. Theoretically, we search for contributions that come from the Discourse Analysis of French filiation, so we can analyze the ideological constructions present in the discourse of the ―LDP‖ more specific lly the control directed to the te cher nd student the users of the book, in writing activities. It started from a corpus of 63 textbooks whereof the following steps were performed: a) mapping of the writing proposals contemplated in the ―LDP‖ of high school; b cutting in the selection of propos l ccording to the rese rch go ls intended (writing proposals of narrative texts). After mapping the writing proposals presented in the ―LDP‖ bout the criteri mentioned bove we re d the writing propos ls to ch rt the quantity of proposals of textual writing productions in each textbook (which usually follows a pattern : 12 chapters and, at the end, the writing proposal. Nevertheless, some books present 2 (two) or more writing proposals at the end of each chapter). We did a cutting in the corpus initi lly constituted 63 ―LDP‖ nd we selected 12 writing proposals of narrative texts presented in the ―LDPs‖ to present wh t we intend to n lyze. Then, we separated these proposals into two groups: 1) activities which present ―instruction guide‖ to be followed by the student; 2) writing activities that allow the student write with no need to follow a text pattern, i.e., which encourage authorship. By means of analyses, it was possible to demonstrate that, in the Basic School, generally, the writing practices concentrate, primarily, on copying activities, reproduction, rewriting and, in more advanced levels, in activities that which start from preset models, asking the students to produce text with similar themes, following the suggested structure. It is about ideals that are supposed to be followed and imitated by the students, depriving them to assume their authorship. O esgotamento sanitário e o uso do território em Natal/RN (1969 - 2009)

Natal é uma cidade bastante antiga, data desde o ano de 1599. Durante seus três primeiros séculos de existência ela praticamente não cresceu, porém teve um significativo aumento populacional e crescimento urbano na década de 1940, a partir da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nos últimos anos, Natal tem passado por um intenso processo de urbanização, que exigiu da cidade um acompanhamento na sua infraestrutura, principalmente por ser uma cidade turística; o que aumenta bastante a sua demanda. O esgotamento sanitário entra como um dos problemas que Natal tem que resolver. A cidade possui apenas cerca de 32% do seu território servido por um sistema de coleta de esgotos. O serviço de esgotamento sanitário é de extrema importância para a manutenção da saúde e da qualidade de vida da população, assim como os demais serviços que compõem o saneamento básico. Tal serviço tem sido um grande desafio para a população e para os administradores públicos. Este trabalho tem como principal objetivo analisar os impactos socioespaciais causados pelas diferentes formas de esgotamento sanitário existentes em Natal. Durante a elaboração deste trabalho, foram realizadas pesquisas bibliográfica e de campo através de estudos documentais, visitas aos órgãos públicos, entrevistas, aplicação de formulários junto à população e observação direta. O embasamento teórico parte dos estudos de Milton Santos sobre território usado, adotando também, ao longo do desenvolvimento do trabalho, as contribuições de outros autores. O território usado foi escolhido como categoria de análise deste trabalho, por entendermos que as questões do esgotamento sanitário passam pelo uso do território, e este se dá pela sociedade como um todo

Tropidurus hispidus Spix 1825 (Sauria, Tropiduridae): a new host for Oswaldofilaria petersi Bain & Sulahian 1974 (Nematoda, Onchocercidae)

No presente trabalho descreve-se a ocorrência de Oswaldofilaria petersi Bain & Sulahian 1974 (Nematoda, Onchocercidae) em Tropidurus hispidus Spix 1825 (Sauria, Tropiduridae). Um macho e uma fêmea de O. petersi foram coletados no músculo ileofibularis direito desse lagarto. Este é o primeiro relato deste hospedeiro para Oswaldofilaria spp. e também a descrição de um novo hospedeiro para O. petersi.

Composition of constitutive heterochromatin of Pseudonannolene strinatii Mauriès, 1974 (Diplopoda, Spirostreptida) analyzed by AT/CG specific fluorochromes.

Triple staining with fluorochromes (DA/DAPI/CMA) and C-banding were used to characterize the composition of Pseudonannolene strinatii heterochromatin. C-banding showed C+ bands of different labeling intensity on chromosomes 1 and 2 in some cells. Fluorochrome staining revealed DAPI+ regions corresponding to the C-banding pattern, indicating that the heterochromatin of this species is abundant in AT-rich sequences.
