On AUV control architecture

This paper surveys control architectures proposed in the literature and describes a control architecture that is being developed for a semi-autonomous underwater vehicle for intervention missions (SAUVIM) at the University of Hawaii. Conceived as hybrid, this architecture has been organized in three layers: planning, control and execution. The mission is planned with a sequence of subgoals. Each subgoal has a related task supervisor responsible for arranging a set of pre-programmed task modules in order to achieve the subgoal. Task modules are the key concept of the architecture. They are the main building blocks and can be dynamically re-arranged by the task supervisor. In our architecture, deliberation takes place at the planning layer while reaction is dealt through the parallel execution of the task modules. Hence, the system presents both a hierarchical and an heterarchical decomposition, being able to show a predictable response while keeping rapid reactivity to the dynamic environment

Plan Exportador MELTRONIC Ltda.

El desarrollo de este proyecto de tesis es el esfuerzo mancomunado de la Secretaria de Desarrollo Económico, Maloka, CIDEM, Universidad del Rosario y la estudiante con el fin de apoyar la formación y el crecimiento de las pequeñas y medianas empresas colombianas, puesto que actualmente en el país no hay un soporte adecuado en el aprendizaje para crear empresas exitosas que puedan competir en el mercado internacional. Este trabajo tuvo una duración de 5 meses en los cuales se realizaron 5 módulos cada uno enfocado a la creación de un plan exportador, estos módulos son: Inteligencia de Mercados, Costos de Producción, Precios y Logística, Estrategias de Comercialización y Plan Exportador, en todos estos se buscaron las bases para que la empresa MELTRONIC LTDA., pudiera implementar un plan de exportación exitoso para los mercados escogidos: Perú, Costa Rica y Chile.

Interacting software-agents to support a kind of expert supervision systems

Expert supervision systems are software applications specially designed to automate process monitoring. The goal is to reduce the dependency on human operators to assure the correct operation of a process including faulty situations. Construction of this kind of application involves an important task of design and development in order to represent and to manipulate process data and behaviour at different degrees of abstraction for interfacing with data acquisition systems connected to the process. This is an open problem that becomes more complex with the number of variables, parameters and relations to account for the complexity of the process. Multiple specialised modules tuned to solve simpler tasks that operate under a co-ordination provide a solution. A modular architecture based on concepts of software agents, taking advantage of the integration of diverse knowledge-based techniques, is proposed for this purpose. The components (software agents, communication mechanisms and perception/action mechanisms) are based on ICa (Intelligent Control architecture), software middleware supporting the build-up of applications with software agent features

Plan exportador 3 D.I.T Ltda.

Este trabajo tuvo una duración de 5 meses en los cuales se realizaron 5 módulos cada uno enfocado a la creación de un plan exportador, estos módulos son: Inteligencia de Mercados, Costos de Producción, Precios y Logística internacional, Estrategias de Comercialización y Plan Exportador, en todos estos se buscaron las bases para que la empresa 3 D.I.T LTDA., pudiera implementar un plan de exportación exitoso para los mercados escogidos: México, Chile y Estados Unidos.

Plan Exportador GranolaFit

El Plan exportador de la empresa GranolaFit, productora de barras de cereal integral, se desarrolla bajo la metodología propuesta por el Centro de Innovación y Desarrollo Empresarial (CIDEM), cumpliendo los estándares exigidos en cinco módulos que son base para la el análisis de la situación actual y proyección de una empresa hacia los mercados internacionales. El plan exportador se basa en el análisis del sector y el diagnostico inicial de la empresa, dando un punto de partida para la selección de destinos potencial, objetivo y contingente a los cuales se les realiza la inteligencia de mercado; el análisis de costos; la logística internacional; la definición de objetivos y estrategias para finalizar con la un plan concreto de exportación, sustentado en las características del mercado, la capacidad de la empresa y las necesidades presupuestales requeridas.
